We have all had"newbie" experiences, what were yours?

When I was new, I thought that creepers were snakes and I tried to hug one...It didn't go well, and like other newbies, I built my house out of dirt. 

One time I found a pack of wolves, and I accidentally hit one with a bone instead of feeding the bone to it...that didn't go well either.

My very first mob kill was a wolf, WITH MY BARE HANDS. I had no idea it would go aggresive on me, so I just punched it the minute I logged on to single player, it was also the first thing I saw that was moving. I saw it and saw it shake it's fur, I was thinking what would happen if I left clicked. The minute I left clicked on the wolf, it killed me about three times in a row before I could completely annhilate it. Best noob experience ever. I also got a boost of confidence after killing it. XD

Here are my top 5 newbie noob moments in MC.

5. The first time I went to a chest shop, not knowing how to buy/sell---I tried to open a chest shop's chest.
4. After hearing about the Repair skill for the first time, I tried to do single-player repair by putting 2 of the same tools in my inventory. "Why won't my Repair skill lv up?!"
3. Repairing a Sharpness I iron axe in MineApoc on an iron block instead of an anvil, when there's plenty of mobs to get XP from and anvils had infinite use. It was a present too
2. While exploring a survival single-player world, I saw an exposed ravine far from home. And there was a cow close to it. I tried to push the cow into the ravine without hitting it. I succeeded, then I fell along with the cow for not knowing how to use crouch/sneak.
1. During my first hour in Noobstown, I typed "/home set" instead of "/sethome" after searching for 30 minutes and finally finding a good jungle spot to call home. Which brought me back to the spawn.  ...of the Mining World.

My newbie moment was having my first minecraft experience on the XBOX 360! There goes $20
