P.S. Max, if you want this removed just ask!
Another scary thought, kinda on topic since it's about space.. don't think it's really big enough to get it's own topic: P.S. Max, if you want this removed just ask!

"The majority of mind-boggling questions are better left unanswered."No idea who said that but its most definetly true.
The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is going for another attempt to launch this evening. Right now they are at T-13:00 and holding. They had an engine shutdown at T-2 seconds about 15 minutes ago, but it looks like they are going to try again. You can watch the countdown live at:http://www.spacex.com/webcast/Go Falcon 9!Max
what keeps on happening that they keep shutting down the countdown?
Scrubbed again. Maybe they will try again tomorrow.Quote from: Xavier1964 on 28 Nov 2013, 23:26:15what keeps on happening that they keep shutting down the countdown?Could be any number of things. Each system (prop, avionics, power, etc.) has redline limits that are set prior to beginning the launch day countdown. If anyone of those systems exceeds the pre-established redline, the system test engineer calls a hold, or if they are in the terminal part of the countdown, they call an abort. There have been substantial upgrades to this vehicle, so having holds or aborts isn't unusual. Better to catch a problem before lift-off.Max
Falcon 9 is scheduled to try again today at 5:41 pm (e.s.t.). You can check the launch status and watch the countdown (starting at 5:25 pm) here:http://www.spacex.com/webcast/Max
