I really need to start playing on the server again, but Vanilla is so boring :(

If they're plugins that require you to edit your client to use them, theirs a possibility that they won't be added to the server. As stated above, it won't be fair for the players that cannot install those kind of mods, and the admins want the server so everyone is equal as possible I believe.
Nice plugins though
It's a Bukkit plugin, so you don't need to install anything, mods and plugins are very different.

Once Minecraft's official plugin API is out this may change as the use/control of changes to clients will be much easier to add and control, but at this time we aren't going to spread into modded client servers. That is fine, hopefully it happens some day :/

Currently on the server I got close to nothing to do, as Vanilla is just getting boring, and I feel like I always do the same things over and over again to actually do someting while online, not just sit there. I want to be a Prefect to have something to do, which is to help out players and keep the chat clean, being a part of the staff would give me a reason to come online.

I actually mentioned this to Lawrence the other day, I'm not quoting him or being a supreme decision maker, but coming from him to me and now to you, Larry said he didn't think it would be possible, due to the strain of 2 servers on one machine. It would still be great though
Yeah that would be an issue, I didn't really think of the hosting part when I wrote this, but looking at the current votes on the poll, it seems like a lot of players wouldn't even play on the server if it were to happen. Having a player limit of like 50 would probably also be helpful, instead of the 500 limit that Noobscraft got :p

I think with Foob is that he likes his servers to be available to play for anyone. Not everybody can play with mods on their computer. I believe you need 6gb of RAM at least, allowing you to allocate four of them to FTB, that's also with minimal settings, you'd need a more than decent computer to get anything above 35fps at normal settings methinks. I personally haven't played FTB, but it's just what I've read or heard, sorry if it's wrong :).
Well a lot of people on the server can barely play Vanilla Minecraft as well, so it's really their own choice :p Most people got a good enough computer to run FTB at decent fps. Also FTB will only hit your FPS if you make big machinery, I get about 130fps on Vanilla and 120 on FTB with just a new generated world, so it's not an insane difference.

Well that is exactly the poll i wanted to make a while ago, and somehow i mange to forget it. Anyway, this is a great idea, but even if fatnoob decide to create another server, it may take a while, as he will need to get new map/spawn, plugins, and maybe even more staff.
Yeah that is a main problem, but I am sure starting a new server will bring a huge amount of new players as well, people from the Apoc Server came to Noobscraft and the other way around, so the same thing would most likely happen if they were to start a FTB server. When it comes to staff, a lot of people on the server are experienced with FTB, including myself, so that shouldn't really be a problem :p

Not sure if this has already been suggested before, but Vanilla Minecraft for me and probably a lot of other people are getting boring, soon it's a new FTB Pack coming out currently named "TPPI", it's supposed to be the biggest one yet, having all the major mods in it, so just a ridiculous amount of stuff to do. I know setting up a modpack server isn't easy, and I doubt it will even happen, but it's just a suggest, that is what this part of the forum is for.

You should remove the poll or change the topic to "My favorite youtube channels"

A Beacon is in no way worth so much, Beacons can only be placed in towns which drastically lowers the price of it, maybe like 20 - 30k is a better price.
Nether Stars were going for 120-150k yesterday.
And that means it's worth that much? People are ripping others off cause the person buying don't know the actual price, which is not 100k+

Can you Vote while Offline, and you will be granted the reward once you come back on? Or do you have to be online when Voting?

I would also like to see this implemented, also maybe something like this:
[Party][Rank] *Username* "Message" or [P][Rank] *Username*: "Message"
Similar to when you talk in other chat channels, it's better than just (*Username*) Message

I am in a solid stone moutain, kinda like an extreme hills biome, but it's 1 gigantic moutain instead of several big'ish moutains ;)

Might have to make something like this one day, but probably not for a while :p

Olah to answer your Question, as best as I can.
The Wild & Town Worlds as you probably know is not randomly generated, but custom made, the whole diamond moutain is a custom part of it, so you can find Moutains filled with Diamond Ore, it was meant to make the area look nicer, but it's Diamonds, off course you grab them if you can :)

I feel honored that you used my name in this topic.
But according to Lawrence, the Auction will get more stuff added to it, just not right away, as most of the stuff that would be nice to have isn't the most important, I am sure the server still has a few bugs that needs fixing first, then they can think about tweaking stuff, making it better :)

I just want effects in my base, they are very usefull and just cause somebody else live next to me, which was their own fault and choice I should add, I am not gone be allowed a Beacon? Or 5?

Along that line of thinking, couldn't a person argue that if you want a beacon, you can just move to a town?
Well I was the first to move in to my area, people moved in around ME, so they choice themself to move in next to my chunks, so they really can't complain, also I doubt a Beacon effect will hit them, as it's a shield of 3 chunks around someones Chunky Home, and a Beacon effect only goes 50 blocks (2 more blocks than 3 chunks).

Please keep in mind the wilderness is a free world. A player needs no permissions to set up homestead wherever they like. As such, the argument of, "I didn't give them permission to be near me" is invalid. Perhaps Lawrence or Fatnoob can expand on their reasons in the future.
I just dislike the way Jack worded his opinion, it was a persons choice, their own choice, to move in at the exact edges of someone elses chunky home, so they have no right to say "no don't place a Beacon as I do not want these buffs in my area", they moved in next to my area, they have to deal with the Beacon, or they can move.

I just dislike Micro Transactions, that is what my problem with it is, in a Singleplayer game, transactions like these aren't a big deal, as they are only affecting the player itself, but on a Multiplayer server, it really isn't the same, you can buy your way to the top in a day, where others have to work for weeks to get to the top.
Doesn't seem like it will change, but the community has spoken, so it's up to the Admins to decide if they wish to keep it or not.
