Oh all these teenagedramas and ever repeating pro/contra delay-arguments remind me about a question I wanted to ask: Are there any changes to the good old ingame "Peace and tranquility"-function (aka. /ignore name)?

TRUE!! Well he is a male, and I have a name in mind but not entirely sure, but here he is almost falling asleep.

Falling asleep? He looks kinda angry too me on that photo. a bit like Clint Eastwood with those squinted eyes. I can almost here him saying "Go ahead, make my day".

... The rest of the time (especially outside of combatareas) weapon and ammo should be safely locked away ...
In a combat zone most people in the military no mater what position carry a 9mm pistol on a leg holster
That's what I meant with the marked part of the quote above. But we are getting offtopic with that. You are handing out candy as Darth Vader, Xavier? Good way to have the kids sign your petition to get goverment funding for your next DeathStar.

Hm, maybe they didn't mean ocean would be smaller in general. Maybe they meant that there also will be new smaller oceans. In 1.7.2 I often find round (cratershaped ) bays that are actually small oceans along the shorelines, which creates nice deeper bayareas than the very shallow ones before (makes for better looking harbors and beachareas.

Eh-hem... Everyone in the army has a weapon of some sort. Wheres yours?! (With this you can trick or treat the bank!;) )
LOL I couldn't find any toy guns that look like actual guns cause you know, they look like actual guns. So, I was going to bring my nerf gun but I forgot it. xD
You Americans and your guns Normally you only carry guns in combatareas, guardduty or training (guns would only get in the way while maintining a tank, sitting at a desk, ...). The rest of the time (especially outside of combatareas) weapon and ammo should be safely locked away (in most armies in the unit's armory) and you rarely carry them without the complete combatgear (helmet, backpack, vest, ... which is not included in the costume). So not carrying a gun to the that costume is actualy correct. In case you plan on wearing it again: Next time tuck the bootstraps into the top of the boot (otherwise they could get caught at obstacles in the field). And if your friend gave you an elastic band for the pants, it is used by most NATO-militaries (incl. Marines and I believe the Army in the US) to roll up your trousers legs and have them sit tight over your boots (would also prevent that the pants to look to long for you). Hm, Rosie is actually a very creative choice. The picture (not her name though) is even known in Europe. It became kind of an icon for womens rights after the war there (especially in the industrious countries like Germany when women wanted to join the factories workforce there too in the 60s/70s).

Hm, it lagged for me at the first try too. Then I reinstalled it completely (deleting everythin of the old version first). You could try reducing some of the new graphicssettings (like Anisoptric filtering).

That wasn't an enchanted fishing rod. You were trying to fish with the flying broom of the witch you killed.
Well, still better than catching an enchanting fish. "Kiss me I'm an enchanted fish and will turn into a princess" "Nah, I'm antiroyalist, off into the pan with you, your Highness."

Volcanobiomes might be something custom created here on Noobstown. I couldn't decide between Savannah plateau, spiked ice and Mesa. Guess I'll just explore V6 and find to find a good looking spot without deciding for a biome first (and probably build a basecamp in one of the towns first as exploring can take a long time).

Unreal - the first part from 1998, one of the first FPS that offered the singleplayer campaign as a multiplayer cooperative mode and offered a little more sophisticated gameplay than Quake 2 (turning the enemies against each other, etc.).
Magic Carpet - 1994 Flying a carpet around a world dueling with other carpet flying mages over Mana(ressource) building your castle ... That game was simply unique and had some pretty nice ideas and efect for that time (together with Doom they were a huge leap for the technologie in videogames back then).
Nr. 3 would simply be to close to call, Dungeon Keeper, Borderlands (1&2), Pirates!, Wing Commander, Privateer ...

No Mobs like the regular fish you can fish atm. But apparently they added a graphics effect where bubbles move towards your hook right before something bites (haven't tried that myself though, just read it somewhere).

By releasing in 1.6.4 we'd still have to work towards the 1.7 update anyway, because we can't stay on 1.6.4 forever then we'd have test everything for 1.7 and then the server would be up and down again. This would not only spoil the experience of v6 but cause you to have further delays when starting your new homes or towns it wouldn't work. We'd prefer to work for a steady 1.7 release with everything fully supported and then it can be left up for the entire Christmas holidays.
Additionally opening now with 1.6.4 would mean that the V6(1.6.4)server could probably not include the 11 new 1.7 biomes (and their new blocks) like Savannah (Acacia wood), Mesa (red sand and naturally occuring coloured hardened clay), MegaTaiga (Podzol blocks and naturally occuring mossy stone) roofed forest (dark oak wood), spiked Ice (packed ice), ... So we would miss out a good chance to find a nice first home in one of those biomes. And of course we would miss out on those 9 new flowers for all the gardeners and the stained glass for the designers here too. To me waiting a little longer for a fresh release in 1.7 seems way better than waiting for a later upgrade and all the new stuff untill December (and maybe having to move everything to a new biome then because I find a nicer spot there). Apart from that updating a server that already has gone live in 1.6.4 to 1.7 should be way riskier in regard of glitches (especially in the biomes) than already releasing it in the correct new version 1.7 without those update glitches. Noobsween can simply be moved to November. I'm afraid one event is not really worth the technical trouble for the admins and the inconvenience of additional downtimes for us players later on (that would be caused by the later upgrade). And honestly, I believe that many of the people that are now annoyed by this delay would also be annoyed by the alternative long downtime for a later upgrade for 1.7 as well . So I guess in that regard the admins couldn't make right for some people @Olah0001: It's a free world, if you choose to not join v6 because of a reasonable delay that is your good right. But as far as I know many of the longer-playing people here I doubt many will accompany on that lonely quest. Just hang in there, judging from the improvements in the last versions V6 will definitely be worth it. @Reigando/Dmonemac95: Even if someone see himself as customer he would have agreed to their terms of use on purchase. And those are quite water worthproof in regard of downtimes or changes of availability. So the question wheter it's a donation or a customer's purchase is not really relevant.

- ...Talk to a real life person! xD
Real persons? Won't they bite?
Only when I am hungry
You're real?
Don't look into his eyes, it might provoke him. Carefully move back now - ok slowly - now close the door! I told you not to go outside! There are persons out there and you know that reality is not good for you!

Once we find that Volcano, we're gonna claim it as our land and begin building an underground laboratory. Why do I get the feeling that volcanoes are going to be really crowded. Some herosquad breaks down the labs door to stop Archnemesis#14 and instead Esp stands before them "No, HIS lab is the third on the right. Right next to the evil wizards lair and the dragons cave." -- Volcano 13 - the new buisness park, get your new lab now and get a labcoat for free! --

They are adding 3 new types of fish. Salmon, Clownfish and Pufferfish. Salmon can be cooked as food (restores 3 food similar to the regular fish), pufferfish is poisonous but can be used for alchemy (waterbreathing potion), clownfish can be eaten raw (restores only 1 food).

Well, you people should try to imagine how stressed the admins patience must be. Working on new custom plugins all summer long (there are nicer ways to spend a summer than diging through code) and then when you are ready to present it Mojang surprises everyone with a major patch on a very-short-term notice - and now they have to check if the update messes up part of the new V6-things they worked on all summer and add the new stuff like the new biomes. We just have to wait a little longer, but they have a very busy time ahead checking everything - and it's not like they were getting paid for it, they have to use up their own free time to do it. So the best thing we (who only have to wait a little longer) can do is hold the morale up high and keep them motivated. I mean, waiting 2 or 3 more weeks on a server? Whoever can claim that that is the worst thing that ever happened to them (and makes them snap) must life one lucky life. @dawolfman91: I guess they'll need the new server to test-run everything on 1.7 to fix any glitches. So I don't think they could really host an eventworld on it right now.

Hm, I don't actually think it's sad news. Sure we have to wait a little longer, but unlike some other servers this new V6 world will then already have all the new stuff added in 1.7 (and there is a lot) without having us lose our stuff. If we started playing V6 on 1.6.4 now we might have to either miss out on that new stuff in the V6 version or probably reset again to atdd it to th world after only a few weeks in V6. So the delay in the release is actually the best option to make sure we get an excellent start into 1.7 AND V6. Sad news would have been if they had released 1.7 in two weeks and everything we would have done in V6 untill then would be lost because the world might have to be recreated to accomodate the new biomes and items. So despite the unfortunate result of the delay in the release the timing is actually quite good (as said above it assures that we get an excellent start into 1.7 AND V6 at the same time). And Noobsween, well I'm not American so I couldn't care less about that holiday We could always ignore the real world's calender and instead create our own yearly V6event celebrating the arrival to this new Minecraft world (including celebratory arena zombieslaying as sign of our struggle to reconquer V6Noobstown from the undead, boatraces as presentation of our long journey to this new world). [edit: and a thanksgiving-dropparty where we thank the admin who brought us to these new shores through their magic spawnportal or whatever it is we will spawn at in V6]
