Guides / Re: ~The Cube~

Thank you Fatnoob. Yeah, I said "many" because there are so many for a tiny box.

I will change that though, thanks for the feedback and sticky.

Guides / ~The Cube~
« on: 16 Sep 2012, 02:02:50 »
With great risk comes great reward.

The cube clearly defines this quote.

In the cube, players are able to earn much, but lose it all if they make any false move. YOU CAN LOSE ITEMS IN THIS EVENT

GAMEPLAY

The object is to mine as many ores as possible. There are many emeralds, diamonds, gold, and other valuable ores. You are able to mine as much as you wish within about a 2 minute timer. There's only one catch. The cube is on a platform of bedrock until 1 minute passes, then the bedrock becomes lava. Not only that, there are lava pockets inside of the cube, just like in the Overworld. These lava pockets include multiple valuable ores, but as I have said, one false step will mean certain death.
When you feel you have sufficient amounts of ore, you may leave by using /spawn or /home. You could also wait the game out, but this method is risky because of the lava.

RECOMMENDATIONS

A few things that might come in handy would be:

1. Fire Resistance is a big must have, it will protect you from any fire damage for 2 minutes or 8 minutes for extended potions. YOU MUST USE THE POTION BEFORE YOU ENTER THE BEDROCK AREA, OTHERWISE IT CANNOT BE USED!

2. Of course, a pickaxe. There are many ores that require Iron and above. I would be careful bringing any enchanted pickaxes unless you have Fire Resistance potions.

3. Good reflexes and a good internet connection will be necessary if you wish to go along without a Fire Resistance potion.

TIPS

Most of the best ores like Emeralds are further into the center. Remember, the closer to the center you get, the more chance of encountering lava there is.

One skilled miner can expect about 30 diamonds and 25 gold with a good pickaxe. Numerous other ores such as coal and redstone are hard to average. Not every block in the cube is an ore, there will be some other random blocks thrown into the mix, such as stone, sand, cobblestone, gravel, stone bricks, snow, etc.

FAQ

1. Can you place blocks?
A: Yes, you may place blocks.

2. Is there any PVP?
A: No, PVP is not allowed in this event.

3. Can I lose my stuff?
A: YES, the game would be too easy if there wasn't any risk.

4. Will I have to supply a pickaxe?
A: Yes, you will need to bring a pickaxe unless you know someone that will.

5. Can I keep the ores I mine?
A: Yes, any blocks you mine are yours to keep.

6: How do I leave the game?
A: You can either do /spawn or /home if you have set a home location. /spawn is the easiest way to get back.

Noobstown General / Re: What is YOUR noobstown story?
« on: 13 Sep 2012, 02:07:10 »
I don't have too much time right now, but I'll give this a shot.

I joined Noobscraft about a month ago and have loved it since. On the first day at the spawn, Hopitty greeted me and gave me some food. He then invited me into PiratesCove. When I got there, I just didn't feel at home. I left P.C. and looked for some other towns. After waiting a day, Miner came on and invited me into Flintwood.  I didn't like how crowded and far away my plot was. I left Flintwood and ended up in DragonFire, when TwistedLover invited me.

I've always enjoyed Noobscraft due to it's friendly environment, people, and moderators. I have not once seen a mis-ban. I have talked to many people, and am currently working on a project for DragonFire.

DragonFire is truly amazing to me. While it can be sometimes lonesome with just 8 people on at a time, there's always something to do. The availability of everything is superior to that of any town I've been to. I did visit Fish_James' town, which I really liked. If I wasn't in DragonFire, that would be the town I would want to live in.

I'm currently trying to build trust with everyone, because when things need to get done, it's trust that you rely on.

Well, that's my story so far. =)

Let me know if you need any help, I'd be glad to.

Just tell me the basic plan and I'll try my best.

Remember, schoolwork first, then play. =P

I have it off for almost the entire time I play.

1. It gets annoying after a while.

2. It makes you less "accurate" when farming things like sugarcane.

3. Not to mention placing blocks in general while moving will be harder...

I just like it off. XD

I'd take a chest full of Snowballs.

I was able to kill 15 enderdragons with Snowballs on creative.

AQW's Dragon will die like the rest.

That, my friend, is amazing.

I always loved buzzing the forest and hilltop on Afterburners in an F/18 and all of that sort. I'm amazed at the detail they put into that. Even most of the trees are placed appropriately.

Noobstown implements a gravel-death feature, in which you cannot die from Gravel.

The ant logs off, then on, to find himself dead from a bukkit glitch with hunger.

After years and years of trying to find the ants bits and pieces, the unknown thing pulled the ant together and magically revived the ant!

Right after being revived, it blew up because it saw your face. The pieces went travelling across the globe, right back into Chuck Norris' meal.

The Ant is propelled into space with the Voyager satellites, which are about to leave the Solar System.

This reminds me of the Russian dog, Laika.

I ban coolquote because MW3 is worse than MW2. Battlefield 3 is FTW. So is Ghost Recon Future Soldier.

I have an Xbox 360 though. Sony just doesn't have enough games.

I don't see Ps3's playing Minecraft. Oh that's right, Mojang signed a 10 year contract with Microsoft....
