Noobstown General / Re: Mob mechanics

My died sheep are disappearing! Oh no's! Lol, Just kidding, it's fine. Some dyes are rather tedious to make though, is there a way to make so farm animals, (like non-spawner made ranches not disappear? I was starting an egg business, and to come back an hour later to find out all my chickens have de-spawned) like, not de-spawn? Not really well explained, I know, but I find it hard to put it into words.

Noobstown General / Re: Moderator Applications

How often are you online:  Weekdays: 1-4 Hours; Weekends, 1-10 Hours.
Why you want this role:  I want to further serve the Noobscraft Community, the server and the forums. I believe that we need more Mods because sometimes someone needs help, and all the online mods are away (Not that it's their fault!). I would like to take some weight off the shoulders of the current staff, and put it on my own, hopefully giving them some time to actually play the server, Lol. I always try to help people to the best of my abilities, pricing, registration help, and showing new players around (Mining World, finding them a rather rural place to build, that is hopefully safe from griefers, and help them get their first house up.) But I can't help with Griefs, Stealing, Hacking, Etc. As I was saying, my ability to help is limited by my tools (Commands, Etc),  and being a Mod will allow me permission to these "Tools", and hopefully make Noobscraft a more enjoyable, safer experience.
Past experience:  Been a Mod on a couple servers, Cop on a Tekkit server that I play once in a while.
Time zone:  Eastern (EST)
Other information:  I stay up pretty late at night (On weekends! ),so I am on quite a bit. I like to help people, and being a Moderator would allow me to help them even more by solving griefs/other issues. I also like poking around on the forums a bit. I am a TA of the Town Empire. I am also a peer-mediator  my Middle School, Only 15-20 students were chosen out of the whole 8th grade class, so I pride myself with that. What a peer-mediator does : Basically, when two students are having a conflict, I listen to both sides of the story and devise a way to end the conflict in a good matter. I also love the Dead Space Series. Well that's me!
Thanks for reading!

Very interesting story ummfred~! I haven't been on lately with some issues irl and way too busy, but I would love to meet you in game, I am a TA in Oakvale. The TA's are a little inactive right now for real life issues, and two of them just quit as TA so it is a little inactive right now.

But if I ever start playing MC more again, I would love to talk, as I love a nice chat with new fellow Noobs :)

Be well,

Fish_James

Ever start playing MC again, wait, wut.

Maybe 4 people could play at a time, and there would be no people, because players can't push each-other anymore. So it would work great in the Events World!

Well, I joined April 19th this year, and have to say, this is the best server I have ever played on. Honestly, my first couple days were absolute nightmares, my first night on this server, I built a dirt pillar to stay away from the baddies below. That night, I learned spiders could climb, good god. A couple tree punching and rotten flesh nomming days later, I had a nice little house set up, and was surviving off of meat from some animals I found. Then my buddy Blooman_135 joined me in my adventure. A couple days of living in that house, I joined DiamondCreek, and so did Bloo. After about 2 weeks, I got fed-up with the 50 Noobz a day tax and the 1,000 Noobz plot price. So, I moved, to the greatest town in all of Noobstown, Empire. EmperorMyrf hooked me up good, really. Starting me off with a free plot, and even helped me move my stuff.  So, I did my last goodbyes to my home in DiamondCreek and started building my new one. A couple months of money making, home renovating, sugarcane farming, town supplying madness, I had a good pile of about 30,000 Noobz stored up, for what, I didn't quite know. Then I got my shop, which Myrf helped me with, and explained ChestShop to me. The shop being quite away from the town spawn, I decided to search for a new location. A month later, Myrf cleared an old shop plot from an inactive player, and allowed me to have it. Have to say, I have gained a good amount of money from that, because people like potions ._. and wool. For the past month or so GrizzShark and me have been working on our own little outpost for Empire, we decided to just claim it, and connected a town claimed road to it, to avoid paying 100k, (which I find quite outrageous). So that's about it, I'm  currently renovating my new home and working on my business tower. And who knows, maybe I'll start my own town someday, but I doubt it, I love Empire. I'd like to give a special thanks to EmperorMyrf, who has helped me since the beginning of my Nooby Adventure, And helped me even more later on, and is still currently helping me. THANKS MYRF! :3

I use  Sphax Pure BDCraft, why? Because I use it for Tekkit with the added Tekktit textures.

Noobstown General / Activity Notice
« on: 20 Aug 2012, 22:47:39 »
Well as some of you may see, I'm not on much anymore. A good part of this is because I've been boatloaded with schoolwork because all of my classes are advanced this year. Sorry Grizz, but my progress on my part of the outpost will be extremely slow. Just wanted to let you know the reason I'm not on much at the time, (Not that some of you even care). Once I get the work done for this unit I will try to be more active.

I'm going to point out, that kind of question typically leads to "how can I skirt the rules and get away with it" discussions. Not something I'd personally recommend. :)

Noobstown General / Re: Rules
« on: 12 Aug 2012, 08:43:26 »
The rules are not outdated, and they are not hard to find at all, /Rules. And I agree with Halikar, they are VERY simple to follow, if you can't follow them, you don't deserve to be here in my opinion. Advertising is always a permanent ban (From what I've seen, correct me if I'm wrong). You chose to give out information about a server, an OP saw that as advertising, you were banned. It was your choice to give out other server information, not anyone else's, YOURS. The advertising rule is not unfair at all in my opinion. When you sign the terms to play and use Noobscraft services, you agree to abide by the rules, if you do not, you will be punished. I really don't see how the advertising ban is unfair. Obviously the Staff doesn't want people sharing IP's in global chat. I would also like to know who would agree with you, because your words just seem like rubbish to me.

Suggestions & Ideas / Noobstown Tekkit Server
« on: 9 Aug 2012, 20:27:53 »
I think Noobstown should have a tekkit server, I just got tekkit today, and it's pretty fun. There could be PvP Wars with Muskets and all that good stuff.

I have a better idea, I will be starting a group called the "Mining World Maintainers". I need to talk to Joe a bit to see if he can add some signs to the spawn.

I think Archers could afford to be less... OP, even though it's my favorite class. Either that, or they should be balanced along with the melee and "special" classes like the Chemist and the Hybrid.

Also, I realize Healers are supposed to heal, but they need at least some form of emergency self-defense. Unless you're Tidal with her Fists of Pure Awesomeness, you can't play a Healer when you're the only one left because you don't have any weapons besides your Healing Potions, which aren't supposed to deal damage, and only do so to "Undead" mobs. Healers need at least some kind of weapon that they can use as a last resort. I'd suggest a Wooden or Stone sword with at least Knockback II on it.

Also, a Paladin class would be kind of cool. It could be a variation on the Healer and the Tank. You gain the Healing Potions of the Healer, but have the protective capabilities of the Tank.

In addition, I feel like the Specialist class is a bit... unneeded. I've tried it several times, and the only thing major about it is the fact that it can take more hits from Creepers than any other class. Granted, Creepers are usually the thing that kills the most players in the Arena, but still.
I think the Healers should have a gold sword, it would complete the look.

I use some of my Redstone for potions, my gravel I use for roads, if I don't need the gravel, I just bury it in a hole.

Seriously?

Saplings come from leaves.
Saplings can be planted in dirt.

Wait 5 or so minutes.

Tree.
Trees make leaves.
Repeat
Do not insult my hard work, please. New players can't find saplings in the first place, if there were plenty of trees in the wilderness (which there isn't) this wouldn't be needed. I'm just an ordinary Noob trying to give back, ok? So please just respect that.
