Berlin broke her leg at school. It is a severe break that is going to require surgery. She is doing okay, sleeping right now, and we are told that her surgery will be tomarrow. I haven't forgotten about this, and the contest is still on. I am not sure when the judging will be as my wife as abducted me into some harsher form of indentured servitude and I have been away for awhile in any meaningful sense. I would prefer to not be a judge myself, but to allow the mods to judge instead. So if the mods would sign on to this that would be great. All mods are welcome of course, but since many have been busy with rl stuff of late, I think five would suffice. Twisted, Tidal, AQW, Buckie and Duelcon have all agreed. San, you are on a bunch so let me know if interested. If you want I can make a score sheet for the contest, but it would honestly be quicker if someone else did. The criteria is listed in a prior post.

I got all excited and got a saddle and a carrot on a stick and a pig. I put the saddle on the pig and got on, with the carrot on a stick in hand... and the pig ate my carrot and wont move. And then Burai_Kitsune says 'Oh that will be cool when we can control the pigs, right?' So yeah. I guess that is my story. Stay tuned for chapter 2: the danger of pig bites.

There were a few posts on here with the same question: how does the advent calender work.
If you look at the to of the site where the menu tabs are there is one labeled Noobmas, and 'advent calender' is one of the choices on the drop down. Last year that selection opened a calendar and you selected the date. Make sure you are logged into the server and there is room in your inventory.

Since December is so full of awesomeness already (thank you Fatnoob and Waterworth and Itslawrence for all your hard work in making the holidays something special, as always, here on noobstown!) Yeah, Krishna worked me real hard around the house, got it about half good and clean (other half tomorrow then I start cooking everything on Wednesday) and I was about to just destroy on some MC...but no. I consider single player just practice for noobstown, and I'm not a trainee anymore. So, for now, people are toys...

I am reading through the ban appeals which proves to be hilarious and informative! I nearly filled out a mod application, and while I'm pretty sure Watherworth and Fatnoob and all the mods would quickly see how poor a choice I would be, i slapped myself real hard and snapped out of that mood. Just in case.

Oh yeah, it is on still, in fact 'x' is one of the towns competing. At least it qualifies and is in the running unless you don't want it to be, Mrfloris. The first prize is already 50,000. I'm sure 60,000 sounds at least 20% better, but I don't know about accepting monies from a contestant...

my town opens december 8th you can judge it opening day
I'll check with the other judges, but I don't think your town qualifies, as the start date was on November 1. I don't have a problem with allowing you to enter, as you are getting a late start...but I'm not making the decision either. Let me talk to them, they are also welcome to chime in here at any time...

If a world can't even last for a couple of years, why even build in it in the first place? Why donate to get items to use, when it's all thrown out like it meant nothing? I've never deleted a world that I started. It's a 'world' after all.
Well, to be fair, none of the worlds you have started have had 21000+ users tearing at it for a year. I know you have worked hard and so have I. I would not be happy with a reset, but I would understand it. I have played countless games of Risk, each one taking over two hours to play. Every game has it's end and winner, and then it is time to start again. Anyhow, this topic is pointless since I haven't heard the words 'map reset' outside of this post and not by any authority even here. I'll wait to start the grieving process until I hear it from Foob or Waterworth.

If the main-world ever gets a reset that is my goodbyes to this server, I have been playing for to long for a world reset, same with Jaeger.
I've been here for at least one reset but I think two. Linda, JayJay, EmperorMyrf and more that I can't think of right now, have been here longer. I will be here through the next reset too. If there is one. From what I've seen in the past resets typically happen when there is a new biome that isn't going to be in world unless there is a reset. So far it looks like anything a reset would accomplish is already taken care of in the mining/ender/nether worlds. As long as people use those worlds (especially the mining world) and are careful with the map we have and don't mess it up to bad, we may get to keep it for awhile. I think this is the longest the server has used a map, today being the birthday. All those desert stripping operations don't help...
