There was a base command in the mcmmo / list that would allow you to turn off different features. I'm not sure if that will be enabled or not on the server but you may be able to try that.

You'll need to wait  until the official thread is made for you to post on.  It should be up around the same time if not just a little before the server comes up.

We're still not sure or have heard any information on how mobs will spawn or be allowed to spawn in v6.  I'll see if I can get some official information to post for you guys so we have a better idea.  In my previous post, I can see the golems being allowed to spawn, but their loot table being removed or greatly reduced all together.  In the final days of noobstown, zombies would drop armor pieces as well as iron ingots, but the rarity of that drop was so sufficient it didn't make much sense to farm zombies for iron. 

Just remember there are still so many unknowns about the world, and there will be adjustments made as we get into v6 and find out what happens in practice and not just in theory.  Chin up!  Whatever way mobs will be allowed to be used, I'm sure it will be as good if not better than v5 was.

I believe he was speaking more so about the location of the markets.  Those on the back row were usually passed over for those on the front row, no matter how fancy their shop looked :).  New players would just stop by the front row shops, maybe run through a few more and then get impatient and move on to mine or whatever.

You are correct in the face the system should reward those that put forth the effort.  With the auction system, everyone will be able to take full advantage of being able to sell their items to other players in a fair and equal setting.  Those that work a bit harder to keep up with the economy trends, pricing, value, shortages, ect... will be more successful in selling their items and earning a steady flow of noobz from their fellow players.

Chest shops will still be available to build and use if you like.  Perhaps a bargain mart for your fellow townies, or a warehouse for those that just choose not to use the online system, whatever your reasons, Foob stated before he would like to keep chest shops open and available for those of us (myself included) who like to build shops.

Basically, the auction system was built with the mindset of giving every player on the server the ability to sell their goods to everyone else in the most convenient and spam free way possible.  It may not be perfect, but I feel that once everyone has a chance to play around with it, you'll find it will strengthen the player driven economy and keep prices low so everyone can enjoy being able to buy and sell.

There are a few possible outcomes of this I can imagine:

The drop table of the Iron Golems will be removed.
The iron Golems themselves will not be able to spawn.
Golems will have to be killed with a weapon or by a player in order for their items to drop so they will spawn

Not sure if a deffinate answer can be given at this time but once the version is kicked off, try asking one of the admins there before you try and build something to that effect.

As for the progress of V6, just keep a watch on the server announcements forum page.  They've already released previews for the world which means it's finally loaded and ready to go.  It won't be long now.  Official word posted:

Thankfully, in v6 there will be a few different 'worlds' to explore and play in.  If you were familiar with v5's world system, there will be a separate world for towns, mining, wilderness, ect...  So there will be plenty of places to explore, not to mention the mining world will be reset on a regular basis, so there's always a new map to explore each month (Or however long the periods between mining world resets will be in v6. )
