I have a few questions tho: 1) Where does one that has owned a town in V5, apply to make a town in V6? (I'm the owner of Flintwood)
2) After the log in tutorial can you go to the wilderness to build, and the mine world to farm stuff right away?
3) If a person build a home in the wilderness, then someone comes and build right next to them, but this is something this set person don't want, what can you do about this? (I want to live away from EVERYONE)
4) How will the ban refresh system work? Cause I heard that all previous bans will be restarted, does this include temp bans as well? Like everyone gets a fresh start? Cause this would be good for me, knowing that my bans would be removed giving me a new start.
That was all Let me answer what I can from this list. Fatnoob may be able to give you more info. 1) There is no place to apply just yet. Closer to the release of v6, you will be able to make your petition here on the website. 2) Yes, once you are done in the tutorial, you will have access to the entire server (unless you are a guest) 3) The chunky system that Foob is talking about should allow for you to purchase land in a decent size area to start. As you earn noobs and time, you will be able to expand that land. It will function just like the current wilderness in the respect that everyone will be able to build there provided they purchase the land. . Each player will start with a 16x16 Wilderness plot, this will be a free plot they can place in any free-area in that world, upon claiming your chunk so to speak you'll eventually be able to expand this over time. We are going to allow a base amount of claims (Example 5 Chunks) you can take, each claim of course will cost a little extra money the more connected chunks to your home chunk will start increasing the price of the next purchase so on, so forth. You'll be able to unlock more chunks after you have used up the base amount by game-time, showing that you are are dedicated active member of the community will unlock the ability to expand your land. I hope that explains your first point, if not PM me. 4)The ban refresh will wipe all strikes against players from before. Everyone will start with a fresh and clean slate to work with. We've always believed in giving players the benefit of a doubt, and try to be as fair and forgiving as possible. With this 'reset' on the bans, temps, and warnings, we hope to allow players from the past to rejoin us in the community for a second chance.

I have to agree. With all the previously stated updates add to this new bit of news, v6 is sounding more and more appealing. Those of us that can hardly wait are already teeming with excitement, and getting a glimpse at what to expect from a brand new world only helps to quell our thirst for that grand design. There are still somethings that are not set in stone, but one thing we all know for sure: It will be worth the wait.

Hello everyone!
Due to the excellent turnout at our last fishing tournament, I've decided to host another this coming Sunday, June 2. No skill required! Just bring a fishing pole and some type of food (That isn't fish of course!) A better fishing area will be set up for those that wish to attend. I will list the rules and prize list here:
1) No building or destroying in the fishing area. 2) No items other than fishing rods and food (Other than fish) 3) No interfering with other competitors. You must stay in your fishing 'box' until the competition is over, or you have won. 4) Listen to the host! Be in /ch L and listen to the staff member or player hosting the event. Be kind, courteous and above all else, please don't cheat for yourself or for others. These include but are not limited to: Sharing catches, using fishing mods, bringing pre-caught fish.
No need to sign up or register, just be online and ready to go when the tourney starts!
Times for Sunday's event will be:
8PM BST 3PM EST 2PM CST 12 noon PST
Catch 64 fish before the others and you could win these prizes!
Prizes:
First Place - 25,000 nbz! Second Place - 10,000 nbz! Third Place - 5,000 nbz
All competitors that finish the tournament with 64 fish will receive 500 nbz for participating.

I entered the competition just to present my build. It wasn't for the veteran title, and there were no rules against me entering my museum for players to take a look at.

Plus once V6 is released we will reward the 100 most active players (between the announcement and the release) with special abilities for the first few weeks! -straight from the V6 token page. Activity? :o
We are rewarding the 10 most active players of each week up until the release of v6. The total most active 100 players will be eligible for the new reformed v5 Veteran rank. The rank will have its own unique dedication kit upon wearing this kit you'll get some sweet buffs! *Speed and Haste* we are also giving those in this rank a full month of double xp on the release of v6. Staying active and dedicated to our community is something we will cherish and appreciate. So, we will also be giving those who stick around chances to part-take in BETA testing of our new events world in V6.
- From the original post on the V6 tokens Both statements are true. Top 100 will receive Veteran status, as will the top 10 in the MCstats categories.

The owner of the plot needs to turn switch permissions on. /plot set perm switch on That should allow you to open and close the door with a password. You can also modify locks on a door using /cmodify <name> That way only those players that are added to the locked door can open it. Much more efficient than using a password

Here is the submission I have for the contest. The screenshots capture the overall feel and design I wanted to express, but there are other rooms and attractions you may want to see. Coords: -1730 , -850 , 65 On the southern edge of Dragonfire. Just behind the Sugar Cane Farm. - Front / outside - Inside / main - Inside / Olde Noobstown Room

This isn't the place for this type of report. Please update your report in the "Report Users" Section of the forums

Everything from V5 will be wiped. It's just like starting on a new server. The only things you can keep are your forum points. V6 tokens. and your username / rank.

If you are just cave mining, this will be a common issue. Players who tunnel mine usually report no issues with finding ores all the way through the month, myself included. Perhaps you just had a run of bad luck or were trying to find ores in a place that was already mined out. You can try moving to a secluded area and tunnel mining.

This is an interesting concept. We already have the /ma that allows you to choose archer so you can train your skills, and you may also use pvp to up your mcmmo as well.

There was an announcement ahead of time that the points shop / VIP purchase would be disabled. While I understand this is inconvenient for you, please try and understand this has nothing to do with being fair or unfair. We have disabled the points shop until the new V6 update for a reason.

I think this is a good idea. If a player wishes to step up and try to help new players learn the server or general commands associated with noobstown, then by all means, please feel free to do so. As far as enforcing the rules, Moderators are enlisted to do that, but if you wish to help answer general questions or concerns that a player may have, by all means, go for it! There's no need to have a special rank or colored name to be friendly, helpful, and polite. (Besides, how else do you think we look to find new staff members )

While the filter is overly sensitive at times, the word 'poo~' shouldn't be used in polite and normal conversation anyways. I understand that some of these words that are blocked may seem a bit over the top, but they are there for a reason. Perhaps in the future, the admins will decide to lighten it up a bit, but for now, please try to understand that words like that are blocked because there is no real reason to use them on the server.

Hi there. As it says on that statement there, allow for a few business days for the transaction to process. It could be up to the 12th or 13th. If you haven't seen your points added to your account by then, we'll have Lawrence take a look at it.

For those of you who do not understand what roleplaying is: ROLEPLAYING: (v.) To act and speak as if you are the character you're portraying. To roleplay is as much about what not to say as what TO say. It means to keep your speech in the context of the setting in which your character (or avatar) exists. Context can be defined as both time and place.
Most roleplaying that occurs is in an online setting, such as an online game, a chat room, or a message board. I know that all of us were very young at one point, and most of us probably had many games of 'Make believe' and mock fights against dragons, soldiers, and other various villains. It is normal for a younger person to pretend to be something they want to be. Those of us who are older and still enjoy roleplaying tend to have an understanding that it's best kept private between those who wish to participate. That being said, you have to keep in mind that the majority of what you are seeing on the server is a younger person trying to express themselves and have fun. That's what noobstown is about afterall, but we do ask them to either take it to local, /msg, or party chat already. The use of the word 'ban' here is very strong, and I don't think it's quite appropriate for what you're really trying to ask for, miner. Perhaps prohibit or discourage would fit more into the context. We are a tolerant server, and try not to be biased in our opinions or feelings towards things like this, and as such, I would ask that you guys try and do the same. Be patient, and if it becomes too taxing on your nerves, there is the option of an /ignore.

From Lawrence on the official V6 token thread: Firstly I'd like to add that those users who receive and collect Tokens won't be given a "bunch of buffs" as you put it; the Tokens are there to give players a helping hand with items such as tools and blocks when the server is first released. Once we are aware how many total Tokens have been awarded we can set a fair exchange rate between them and the items you can gain.
We are completely aware that people don't want to constantly spend their time on Noobstown and this is why we are offering a range of ways to actually "earn" Tokens: every week between now and the release of V6 the 10 most active players from that week will receive a prize, yes; but we are also going to offer the option to earn these Tokens through events and competitions between now and the release! The system is designed to reward activity on the server and ensure that these last few months aren't played in vain. As I already explained above the actual rewards (items/blocks which will be redeemable in V6) will be fairly priced once we are aware of how many actual Tokens have been collected by everyone. The Tokens are fairly allocated to all who are most active and so between now and the release everyone on Noobstown has an equal chance to earn the same number of Tokens as any other user. Whilst our calculation does include 'simply being online' the ordering of the users in the "Most Active" is weighted according to a variety of different factors of which many cannot be simply "cheated" as you claim. Also any user who is caught "cheating" the system will be removed from Token system and won't receive any rewards; plus it will be seen as breaking the exploitation rule and will they be punished accordingly.
I can understand your concern but this system has been introduced to give a fair way for players to get a helping hand at the beginning of V6 for their current actions in V5.9.
