Server Announcements / Re: Double EXP Weekend! + March TOP Voters« on: 5 Apr 2014, 01:37:34 »
You're not the only one that is upset the towns expansions are being hindered from this bug, however, there is much more to do on the server other than just building on a town. There are plenty of skills, gathering resources, talking with friends, ect.. that one can do while playing on noobstown. I'm sorry that you feel your entire noobscraft experience is ruined because towns are not expanding, but there's not much we can do in the way of fixing said towny bug. We are not the developers of towny, and while the admins may be looking into the issue and trying to locate the source of the problem, that does not mean the rest of the server is down for the count. Log in, play! Level some skills and fight some mobs. There's much more to enjoy on the server of Noobstown.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Please anounce the reset dates for Nether and Mining world« on: 27 Mar 2014, 16:03:31 »
yeah, for now, It has to be done manually and the admin's schedules are conflicting so it takes a bit. They try to announce it when they can , but as you see that usually gets messed up and causes more stress than what it solves. Good idea, though. maybe it can be fine tuned a bit in the future.

/tc and /nc are both unavailable to use and likely will not make an appearance. Unable to add /t mayor and /t create as those are limited to people who are actually mayors. If you apply for a town and get accepted, these will be known.
, /n create added - under /nation ? Quote HOW DO YOU EXPAND LAND IN WILDERNESS??? There is likely someone living within 3 chunks of that area you are trying to claim. in addition: This is not the place for support, try asking in game through a /helpop or in /ch g if you have further questions 85

Likely the diamonds will be removed. Anyone who finds ore distributed like that should immediately report it to the staff.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Beacons in the Wild« on: 9 Mar 2014, 04:34:46 »
Along that line of thinking, couldn't a person argue that if you want a beacon, you can just move to a town?

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Beacons in the Wild« on: 8 Mar 2014, 21:43:01 »
Please keep in mind the wilderness is a free world. A player needs no permissions to set up homestead wherever they like. As such, the argument of, "I didn't give them permission to be near me" is invalid. Perhaps Lawrence or Fatnoob can expand on their reasons in the future.

Noobstown General / Re: So much for a balanced Economy....« on: 8 Mar 2014, 21:21:57 »
I have merged the two topics together. Let's keep this discussion on one page.
Quote ...The biggest concern everyone seems to express is that this will hurt the player to player economy. I'm not sure how you see this as a threat, ... Exactly, which is why i'm encouraging discussion on the topic instead of just stating, "It's going to ruin the economy" If you feel that way, tell us WHY. Give us reasons why this will ruin the economy. As for the /top. This is not a discussion on the addition, removal, or right to have VIP perks. Keep on topic please. Quote Hey guys, -reposting Fatnoob's reply to the previously merged topic 91
Noobstown General / Re: So much for a balanced Economy....« on: 8 Mar 2014, 06:12:55 »
I can understand your concern about the auction prices, but keep in mind we already have players doing just that with farmed money. As for purchasing the noobz to found a town. Keep in mind you still must complete a town application, not to mention the amount of actual money someone would have to donate for those noobs is far more than 99% of players will pay for instant town access.
Thank you for your ideas and opinions on this matter. Please keep all further posts informative, respectful, and filled with as much evidence to support your take on the issue being discussed. 92

how about you explain HOW this will ruin the economy? Provide evidence and facts, not just groundless statements please.

Noobstown General / Re: So much for a balanced Economy....« on: 8 Mar 2014, 05:13:44 »
I can see there is some serious debate and concerns here. Let me try and explain this the way I see it.
The biggest concern everyone seems to express is that this will hurt the player to player economy. I'm not sure how you see this as a threat, seeing that noobz can only be spent in three major ways. Purchasing towny plots, towns, nations. purchasing wild chunks (note we have a donation option for this already). And buying items from players, as there is no in game server shop to purchase items. Where do you think the currency that is purchased will go? They are unable to purchase items that would cause serious advantages over other players, the only thing it eliminates is a few hours of server time on their part of grind and farming. If a person chooses to earn noobs this way, and in the process, keep the server running by donations, is that really such a bad thing? Keep in mind, those noobs that are purchased will either leave the economy all together through towny / chunky, or will be cycled in to other players selling items, thereby increasing the amount of player to player transactions. I encourage everyone to express their opinions and suggestions on this, but please be sure to keep it respectful and offer as much evidence and fact you can to support your opinion. 95
Suggestions & Ideas / Re: TELL ME MY MONEY PLZ (auc)« on: 15 Feb 2014, 17:24:01 »
I believe what you're trying to ask is for a message when someone purchases your auction? As in, a player purchases your auction of diamonds for 5k. You want to receive a messages saying
Quote Your auction of diamonds has sold and the amount of $xxxx has been deposited into your account! I am also going to move this to the suggestions forum. |
