Cool. Getting 30 lvls won't be so long. :D

Double XP refers to MCMMO skill xp.  Not enchanting levels :)

Let me know once you have it completed so I can take a look :)

Tips to survive and succeed on the Ultimate Parkour Challenge!

1) Holding Shift will allow you to stick to ladders.  It will keep you from falling off most blocks.

2) Sprinting and jumping at the same time will increase the air time and distance you travel!

3) Try setting your sprint hot key to a key you can easily press along with run!

4) Be observant!  On this course, there are short cuts.  Clever use of jumps, sprints, and shifts will allow you to complete the course quicker.

5) If you fall, don't give up!  There are checkpoints all over the map that will enable you to get back on the map.  They are usually near the beginning of a stage or section.

6) If all else fails, slow down, take your time and plan your jump.  It's better to take a few extra seconds to plan your next jump than to fall and add a minute to your time.

7) Ask for tips from others!  Many players will be willing to give you hints and tips on how to pass certain sections!

8) Most Importantly:  Have fun!  If you find yourself becoming angry, take a break and try again later!  Frustration only leads to sloppy jumps and even more rage.  Take a few moments to calm down and approach a section again when you've cleared your mind.

also you can jump to it using a jump 2 pot (a more tedious solution since they're near impossible to find and buy not to mention they're a pain to brew) and jump onto the mob room door and access it that way(bad idea. dont do it, too difficult to acomplish) also are jumping pots banned in this competition as well as bunny juice?

Speed and jump enhancing effects and armor will not be allowed during the competition.  Beacons have been tailored to suit speed / jump effects and anyone caught using those types of potions will be disqualified.  (Aside from that, no one will be tp'd to the starting area if they do not have an empty inventory :) )

When on the 1st and 2nd is this happening? Can we do it anytime and tell you our times?

Times will be extremely flexible over the course of this weekend.  I will host the event multiple times with no set schedule so just be online off and on throughout the day and you're likely to get a shot at it.

58
The course is now open to everyone via stairway.

59
If you fall or die do you restart the course right away or do you wait for everyone to restart again like in the V5 parkour.

There are 3 'stages' that you will go through.  Each has it's own checkpoint at the start you will have to go back to if you fall.

(As a VIP / Veteran member you can go 'early access' test the course using your /j)

What's more fun than watching a bunch of noobs fall from the sky?  Competing in a competition that has noobs falling from the sky for awesome prizes!  This weekend we're having the grand opening of Duelcon and DACK Enterprises' Ultimate Parkour Challenge!  There will be death, There will be Prizes!  But most of all, there will be fun!  Even if you aren't a parkour master, everyone who completes the challenge within the time limit will receive a prize!

As with any event, we need to set some basic rules:

1) Listen and respect all Staff!  That means be in /ch L once at the event and follow the instructions and direction of the staff members.
2) Do not harass, bully, interfere, or obstruct other competitors while they are attempting the course.  We understand you may need to stop to figure out a jump, but please be mindful and respectful of the other players attempting the course with you.
3) The use of VIP / Veteran commands, ender pearls, or other various forms of teleportation will be considered cheating and may have you disqualified from competing.  Please verify with staff before using anything other than your basic jump and shift.
4) We strongly advise you to NOT bring anything with you to this competition.  You can and likely will die.  The staff will accept no responsibility or liability for lost items or XP at this competition.  You participate at your own risk!

All staff members reserve the right to modify, change, alter, and issue rules contrary to this post at the event.  Be sure to listen in /ch L for instructions from the Staff.

And now, for the Prizes!

Complete the stages:

8:00 Perfect Score -     1,000,000 Nbz.
08:01 - 10:00        -                 64 Diamond Blocks
10:01 - 20:00        -                 10 Diamond Blocks
20:01 - 30:00        -                   1 Diamond Block
30:01 - 45:00        -             5000 nbz.

Stage 1 Only          -            5000 nbz
Stage 2                  -          10000 nbz
Stage 3                  -                16 diamonds
Stage 4                  -                  5 Diamond Blocks

I would like to wish everyone good luck!  As a heads up, we had 2 of our beta testers rage quit the course!  Be prepared for frustration! VIP and Veteran players may explore the course for 'early access' by using their /j ability before the competition. Course is now open to everyone for access via stairs and ladders. It is located in Dracomere above the dark room mob grinding area.

If you have any questions, please post them below and I will be happy to answer them when I have time.

All jumps have been tested by staff and players.  Course CAN be completed.

No one was able to complete the challenge on Aug 1.

Next time.  Aug 2:

12pm  CST

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Mod support
« on: 10 Jul 2014, 19:01:49 »
Most likely it is a plugin that is blocking so many movement actions at once from your client, as all those 'inputs' at such a high speed is similar to other things that cheat.  The Admins may be able to give you some more information, but note it is not disabled to be a hassle or stress to our players.  I love the sorting utility too :)

Hi there guys,

As you know, I've recently starting hosting the fishing tournaments again.  I've been asked by a few players if there will be different docks or fishing areas in the future.  I would like to say yes, but as time would have it, I am unable to build multiple fishing areas to fit the requirements this event has.  However, if the town mayors and staff would like to build a fishing area in their town that is similar to the one I have in Dracomere, i would be happy to host the fishing tournament there!  There are some requirements that must be in place for the docks to be accepted as a potential tournament area.

1) The lake or fishing area must be a reasonable size and able to host at least 20 players. (Where a staff member can sit center field and be able to see every player that is participating.

2) Fishing 'boxes' like the ones I have built in Dracomere must be in place to separate players and keep things organized and fish going to the right people.  (designs may be different, but the effect MUST be the same as the fixing boxes I have created)

3) There must be a 'Fishing Hut' or starting structure to house all competitors before the tournament starts so that the staff members can check inventories, log who is participating, and make sure everyone starts at the same time.  (It is a good idea for this fishing hut to be in a centralized location of the fishing dock area.)

4) Fishing rods and string must be provided from a nearby chest shop at a REASONABLE price.  Something that even new players would be able to afford.  (Rods and string can also be offered for free by the hosting town)

5) Last, but not least, the fishing area must be reviewed by any staff member that is willing to host the tournament there PRIOR to being posted as a tournament location.  All staff members reserve the right to deny the location for any reason.  (Should you be denied, please submit a forum PM to me (Duelcon), and I will be happy to assist you in fixing what the issue is so that you can ask for reconsideration)

Good luck everyone!  And I do hope that some mayors will take up the challenge to build tournament friendly fishing areas.  Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me via forum PM here on the site, or /msg me in game.

DISCLAIMER: Staff members (including myself) will not assist in the building or construction of the fishing area.  We will give advice and offer opinions at OUR discretion and if time / duties allow for us to take a look.  Please do not bother other staff members with your tournament area submissions, as this will default you to being removed from consideration as a prospect.  Exceptions to this are if the staff member is a member of the town in question, but no obligation or responsibility is to be placed on the staff member regarding the tournament area construction or planning.  I (Duelcon) reserve the right to revoke this offer at any time, for any reason without warning or notification to submitting parties.  This is not a contest, and all players are allowed to submit a location as long as it is within the boundaries and guidelines listed above.

Appoved Lakes so far:

1) Dracomere - Dragonhead Lake
2) Netherfrost - Frozen Lake
3) Windermere - Windy Ravine
4) XavierLand - XavierLake
5) Tortuga - Tortuga Docks

Noobstown General / Re: House building
« on: 1 Jul 2014, 01:56:54 »
Try looking at an image or photo of a real life structure you like.  Then try and model something in-game that looks similar to what you see in the photo.  Or you can free-build.  I tend to do the later most of the time.  I'll start to build something and let it just evolve as I go.  Sometimes it works :)

72
Hello there, crafty.

Additional fishing rods / string will be available to purchase for a small fee on the docks where the tournament is held.  As for the 64 fish, it must be 64 regular fish.  (Other types of fish and treasures will be able to be sold for reward nbz once the tournament is over.)  In the future, I may add in additional prizes you can exchange certain treasures and rare fish for.

This is not an attitude we wish for our residents to take when using our markets.  Please keep that in mind and be a bit more courteous when dealing with our fellow players in the future.  My apologies, Demonic
