Alright, added.
I hope your wilderness home goes well, does that mean you're going to not have a plot within the town as well so I know that beforehand or you will?

It sounded like Miku to me, although maybe we'll get confirmation or not from Foob.

It's a Noobween promo video. Completely safe.

It's certainly fine with me Miner, no one is required to live within the town. I myself will probably eventually want to build my own wilderness house to play around in. Maybe a kind of second storage area or something.
And any public building suggestions would be very welcome. Such as ideas for libraries/etc, anything that could be more of a decoration building is acceptable since the town probably won't be very big.

I doubt it could be this weekend, they did specifically state the weekend was all for testing purposes. So that makes it highly unlikely that we'll be getting it this weekend.
I don't mind that at all, even though this weekend is my Fall Break. I just want everything to be functioning properly within the server which I'm sure they're working tirelessly to make sure even the smallest bugs won't happen.

Unfortunately they won't be able to cater to every individual person. There's going to be at least one person, no doubt more, that are going to end up not being there for the release. It's just physically impossible to make sure that everyone is able to be there, unless we want to wait weeks and maybe even months for every person's time schedule to open up.
I'm sure they'll take into account when the biggest amount of people will be able to get online and open on that day however.

Thanks for the update, great to see that everything's moving along well currently. It's also good that you're not forgetting your studies, it's not so important you need to start failing a class immediately just for this. :L

I don't think Esp has actually textured it yet, more that he's showing what the original was meant to be.
Although it's really a good model from what I can tell.
I don't really have many things that I've done, mostly I'm just working on class or else I'd show off something of mine. Hehe. All I have right now is an untextured antique phone model we did as a class project. xD

Actually it was meant to be many different versions of the word "mere". Although dragon pond can certainly be one of the interpretations. Hehe.
Well I'm sure you'll be able to make something a lot better this time around. Pistons should be working still from what I recall.
I've also added you gruff and will send you a PM about the market stall in a moment.

Oh, now that's very cool. ^^ It's always nice when you can turn a hobby into something really awesome.

Hehe, Bexn said the same thing earlier. We've determined a lot of it might have to do with the fact we both have a similar hairstyle currently as well as wear similar glasses.

Ah, I see. I don't think I've ever seen that program before. My college professors have us using Maya so it's the only one I know rather well.
I was more meaning like what the gun model was to be used for, or if by your "It's just a hobby" statement you're saying that you're just modeling them for fun which I could certainly understand. Your first post said something about importing into a "TES:IV" though so I wasn't sure if it was for some kind of game mod or something.

You may certainly have an Architect position, you were always great when in the town in V5, and I really liked your castle. ^^
And I agree on the market stall, we'll simply have to see when we get an official report of whether there's a spawn market.

I'm curious, is this in Maya?
It looks pretty cool though! I'm also curious what you're modeling for?

I guess same thing I've been doing for months. Working on other games, trying to draw better, working on being a better writer, etc. I haven't actually been playing MC that much since I didn't have anything to play on. Single player gets boring after some time because... what was the purpose of it? I love making or doing things to help out or at least have something to look at and be proud of. But when other people can't even appreciate it or anything it's just like making something in the sandbox as a little kid and that's just lonely.

Nah, I meant like if the page itself had the IP. Not if it had a link to another site that had it. Such as I'd seen people post up YT videos with the IP in the descrip as their secret way to spread the IP. Although from what I remember YT videos weren't allowed to be linked due to you can't check every single one for what content might not be appropriate within it.

Not sure how easy it would be to do, even if it is a good idea. I don't know the website and such so I don't know how it would easily store the pictures for this, although I'm sure the admins could manage it. Therefore I agree, faster and easier reporting means more people would be willing to do it.

I never really understood the whole "Beware posting your picture on the internet!" thing. I mean like... how many strangers do you meet on a daily basis who not only sees who you are but can actually... well... grab you and any other things? It just always seemed plain silly to me to be scared of people that are only pixels on the internet when there's real breathing people near you who see you every day that you know less than these pixels. Although there is some merit in being cautious about what you actually give out to people. So long as you're smart and don't go giving off personal information like where you live/etc (Same rules as you'd ever give someone in real life) it seems to me that everyone can enjoy themselves here. ^^ (Note that I'm not saying it's unwise to beware when posting things about yourself, just that it seems a bit overrated in the end when compared to many other things.)

I assume like before you can't post the link if the website you're linking to has the IP of another server on it, since that would count as trying to advertise that server? I remember something like that, or does it only count if it's clear the person was purposely trying to get them to go to the website to look at that IP?

There were lots of ups and downs to the spawn markets, one of the big ones was that everyone just migrated there for their shopping needs and a lot of town markets were just ignored.
On the flip side it was great to have one place to just search around for something that you might want, and everyone began to get a sense of where they would get their items from. It also helped that you didn't have to go from town spawn to town spawn and spend a little extra money just to check a shop.
Although I'll wait to see about any actual spawn market information, it'd be nice to have it lowered down to towns again. Help spread it out and promote in-town shopping and such. Entangled and I were wondering about this simply because our town will want to have a market and we weren't sure if it would be as helpful an idea as we wanted it to be if we had to be in competition with the spawn markets.

Alright, I'm glad to see these responses because they clear up a lot of confusion that sometimes happened in V5 because there just weren't as clear distinctions back then and I'm sure a lot of that had to do with just trying to figure out what would be the fairest set of rules. I especially enjoy the 48 hours before clearing a plot, I know that in the town I'm wanting to make it'll be a month of inactivity that occurs before actually getting around to clearing the plot itself. It was my experience that you'd just get around to doing that and then pop comes up the person again 1-2 days later angry about it. @.@ This would certainly help with that kind of situation, and it also helps to give them warning on both server PM and forum PM! Because I know that not everyone can be on the server itself daily but they'll at least be able to stop by and check out the forum. At least, in most cases unless it's extreme ones. Thanks so much for the speedy replies, everything's just going so perfectly right now it's amazing.

Eh, I know it was for the admin staff. I was just saying some things that I experienced back then. Doesn't mean I'm right and therefore I'm looking forward to hearing all the answers from the admins themselves since they're going to know a ton more than any of us ever will. Or, I hope they do since they're the owners. Hehe, I kid they most certainly do.
From what I remember if you didn't feel safe reporting a mod within the report user section you could always send a PM directly to the admins themselves so that you could keep the problem in private without having to be scared that someone was going to attack you because of your report. (Not saying that anyone did, but that can easily be a common fear. I know that even in real life I get nervous wanting to say something against my teachers/etc because they have power and I don't. Even when I'm in the right and they're not I get scared about speaking up.)
Anyway, probably going to be a while to get a response from anyone since unless they're staying up late they should probably be asleep by now if I recall correctly.

Kind of, hehe. I understood the humor in your post but wasn't sure if you were joking because the word I was using wasn't the one that's used on this forum.
