Hehe, it's nice to see that so many people still remember me. ^^ Well, a lot more than I expected.
I'd been told that a lot of people had just dropped off after the long wait for V6 so I wasn't sure if many people were left who'd even remember me, but it seems that I was wrong.
You people are so happy to see me again that it almost makes me embarrassed, too much flattery for my poor self. ;-;

I probably won't be back on as a mod, I don't see myself as getting accepted back and I still maintain the belief that you shouldn't ask for power.
It'll be fun to be around as a Vet at least though, won't be able to help as much as I did before but I'll still be willing to help with things like questions/etc.

Hehe, Magic seems pleased that I'll be back. I might not be as active as I was simply because I'm wanting to focus on becoming a better artist and actually writing up some things to publish. Although having something to play on would be fun once more so I'll probably be more active than I'm expecting to be. I had intentions to probably not come back at the beginning but really this place can be fun with all the people here to just stay away forever.

So yeah. I guess a lot of people have already seen me post a few things already and are all excited. Instead of bothering to reply to every single person who has already said hey to me in the few topics I've posted on like... yesterday? I'm going to just make this here thread to just put them all into this instead of spammin' up those important topics.
There's not much explanation that I honestly care to give, I'm not going to go making trouble or anything because honestly I'm mostly over some of the things that caused me to want to leave in the first place. Some things still stuck with me and I won't deny I'm still bitter over them but I'm not going to let them keep the sour taste in my mouth.
Anyway, I left because I had some issues going on, most of my fellow people who were on the staff team at the time already know what I'm talking about and therefore I don't need to go into detail and cause waves.
Now that I've had more than enough time to settle down and mostly get over the once more depressing feeling of having everything you've worked for being destroyed (Which has happened to me on every MC server I've ever gotten on even when we were promised it would never happen, and it's a big personal pet peeve of mine because it just kept happening) I'm more willing to see the bright side of V6.
Not that I wasn't at the time I wanted to leave, but it's just easier to accept without the entire bitter feelings it was with in the beginning. Plus I need to have something to work towards. It just... I mean seriously I have to have something to work towards, the only thing at the time of waiting for V6 to come around was just level grinding or gathering together money and it just wasn't worth it to me because I can't keep grinding for no reason when it was just going to move over to the next version.
No, the tokens just weren't as big of a reward to me as they were to some other people. I really take pride in what I've accomplished, even if it's something as simple as getting to be top 10 of a skill and therefore showing how little life you have. Now that it's been so many months and I haven't cared about that achievement in forever it's easier to just wipe the slate clean, just like some of the video games I finally have the guts to restart on because it just doesn't matter how far I got now.
V6 DF?
Entangled has already wanted to discuss with me the option of having a V6 DragonFire, and I've told them that I might be interested in doing it but that I'd probably not want to make it a big city. As they told me most people already have a town that they're wanting to join instead.
Therefore I'd probably just be sticking to my biggest asset, which is my desire to make something that will help other people. As I'm sure some people remember DF had a very giant tree farm and a produce farm with almost every type of produce available there for anyone, in a town or not, to gather supplies from.
If I were to make a V6 DragonFire I'd probably be far more interested in having it as a small town mostly focused on being a producer, in other words we'd have giant farms again that would be for free use from any other person on the server. This time of course since it would be focused on being a producer the town spawn would be directly by the farms, haha, so people would need to spend less time wandering around or getting teleports by other people.
And I do know how much people loved getting TP'd there, since I had to do it a lot. Don't get me wrong, I loved doing that. But it just makes it so much easier on other people.
I'd probably change the name too, just to make it sound more draconic and cool...
TL;DR
Anyway, just wanted to drop that little nutshell and just say that I'm comin' back and if you even bothered to read this far I have one thing to say to you that I'm sure a few peeps might remember, especially dear Myrf if he's still around: What what chickenbutt.

Hallo dere again.
Sounds good, I'll be interested in getting an awesome mount then. Horses are amazing after all, though I haven't played MC in a while so dunno about them in here.

Can I ask if like when you buy a steed would it be able to die and then you've lost it forever and essentially lost those tokens you might have spent on it as well?
Or would they die and be able to respawn later on?

I assume from the post that it's an accident and they just didn't put them in there. It says if they missed you that you need to inform them so they can make sure you're taken care of.

Foob said we can claim an unlimited number of wildy chunks, but the price (in Noobz?) will probably get steeper as we claim more chunks. So we'll have to use the tokens in the most profitable way possible to expand our territories. I wonder if it's possible to claim 2 or 3 un-connected wildy chunks-- allowing us to mark borders and expand later on.
I'd say that probably might not be the wisest thing to do, someone might not even realize it was a border marking for any number of reasons and still claim within the area. Or they might do it on purpose. Either way accidents can happen.

You have to type it exactly as their name actually is if they're offline. So if someone's name is "LiciaMango" you cannot type "Liciamango" or "liciaMango", or any version like that. It has to literally be typed "LiciaMango", or else it will never register who you're actually trying to remove from your friends list.
That's really the only problem I've ever seen someone have with removing their friend, they simply didn't type the name exact.

Glad to hear that you were able to get it installed! Sometimes things are just crazy like that, suddenly working.
Enjoy your time on the server then. ^^

Hm, I was looking up Optifine just now and the download that I found had several comments saying things like it was making their Minecraft laggier than without Optifine, that the grass had grey sides, and other comments like this.
Perhaps the most recent Optifine just isn't a good version of it and has some bugs that need to be fixed, that's the only conclusion I can come to with all these complaints I read, and that you've repeatedly been sure that you've done it correctly multiple times.

Er, as far as I know you have to manually open (Unless you're using something else) the Minecraft Jar and put it into that, not just the bin folder.
Unless someone changed that I wasn't informed of, that's how I've always done it.

That would be the birthday monument for Tidal's birthday yes, we made it into a kind of home for her as well as an added bonus.
She has that as well as the home she owns directly by the town spawn, though I don't think she uses the statue as much as a home.

I just wanted to point out that you don't lose items from PVP death, specifically because of the fact that people were always scared that they would have their items stolen and that people would promise to return the items and then refused to do so and we were not able to force them to return the items.
So there would be no need to worry about items being lost from deaths of PVP.

If the redo had actually affected your chest, which I tested myself afterwards just to make sure and it did not affect the chest that I had placed nor the items in it, then there wouldn't have been any items left in it period. As you said yourself that items were left in it I can only conclude that someone must have taken the items out of your chest.
I noticed when I checked them after you reported this that you had someone cmodified onto your chests who could have taken the items out of them. Perhaps that will need to be looked into as well, because I am 100% sure a redo, which is what I did, could not have affected those chests in that manner at all.

Hum, I saw the reply and didn't notice Mishai's time, I'd assumed it had been a recent post because people hardly ever necrobump from such an old topic. I suppose I'll just lock the topic then since it's so old it's not even relevant anymore.

He doesn't mean resetting the server or anything, simply that mobs would start spawning in the wilderness again and that weather would happen more frequently.
I actually hadn't noticed a decrease in wilderness mobs, but if anyone would you certainly would Mishai. I don't go out hunting them much, but I do see a few every now and then during my grief reports. Probably not as many as should spawn in the wilderness at night in a dark area, though.

I have to comment in on this as well. I also think the leveling xp requirements is just utterly insane.
I did an experiment just now, and I harvested potatoes for 10 minutes straight without a single break to type/etc. I also replanted at the same time.
I gained 66k xp in that ten minutes, and it takes me 190k xp to level up at my level of 1894. Therefore it takes around 30 minutes without a single break to gain one level. Now if you were to do just 6 hours of pure harvesting you would get 12 levels per day. From level 1894 to level 3000, that would take you 92.2 days to complete.
Now because I'm a moderator that means that I get the VIP 2x MCMMO xp, meaning that for a regular member they would get 33k per 10 minutes of doing this, and it would take an hour to get one level. It would also take them 184.4 days to level from 1894-3000.
And this does not even begin to factor in the intensely large xp requirement curve. By level 2500 you'd probably be having a requirement of 250,000 xp to level once. Estimating then that a VIP would get a level every 40 minutes, in a 6-hour period that would then be around 6 levels. Then from 2500-3000 it is estimated to take 3000 days to get to level 3000. And 6000 days for a regular member.
Now I get that you want to make it harder to level up as you go along, but 3000 is meant to be an achievable goal. 3000 days required to level up fully to 3000 doing 6 hours of harvesting per day? Not achievable. And this is just one skill. Now imagine trying to level up multiple skills to high levels.
Just looking at the estimations makes me want to throw up my hands because I'm never going to get there, and MCMMO was one of the few things that I actually do anymore since I've built a lot of the stuff I want to build now.
A large adjustment in my opinion is necessary in the overall xp requirements in the various skills. This kind of curve and required amount of time to put into the skills is just... I'm a level grinder, I love to level grind. But I would flat-out hate to do this. It's just far too hard and takes far too much time for far too little reward.
So therefore I really really want the dev to change up the xp requirements on the levels, because it's just not going to work as well in practical use. I'd also hope that Foob could somehow change up the requirements as well after looking at the data I collected here. Either way, I'm hoping something can be done about this, because it's very necessary I'd think, especially for those people who don't spend a ton of time on here.

It will use up the egg. And you can only use farm animals, no hostile-type eggs will work on a spawner.

A jail system overall wouldn't really change anything at all, and to me would only cause more trouble by having the admins have to create something or find something that would fit this, and then also having to fix out any bugs that occur between the chat plugin and the jail plugin for jail channels/etc.
We already give many chances to someone before a permanent ban is implemented. Especially with things like language and griefing. People are given a warning perhaps twice, temped twice, and then finally permanently banned if they continue to misbehave. So by the time a permanent ban has happened to someone who's been cursing/griefing it's hardly accidental anymore, since they've had warnings multiple times that what they're doing is wrong and they're simply choosing to ignore that fact.

I can comment on the VIP thing. There's a 5% tax on selling things like dia/etc. It doesn't affect the sugar/wheat/seeds prices because they're so low, but the iron/gold/diamond prices do.
When you sell to the shop you don't get 5% of what it says on the sign, you only get 95% of it. Which would be why your calculations are slightly off, since it doesn't factor that in.
