Noobstown General / Re: Give me some tips to earn 10k or more noobs« on: 18 Feb 2013, 20:42:13 »
Not true anymore Miner. Double chest of logs = 52 stacks of logs, or 13,312 planks. Planks only sell for 1N now, so that's only 13,312N per double chest of logs.
Still a good way to get money, but it can take too long. Especially now that I've heard tree feller was nerfed some. The best way I find to make money is to just farm things for a few hours, sell off everything you get and don't waste the money. 228
Towns & Nations / Re: DiamondCreek is dead?!?« on: 18 Feb 2013, 06:59:53 »
Well the first thing to do is not make the topic title suggesting that it no longer exists...
![]() But the best thing I've found with my old town is to advertise it, and talk to people who ask in the chat for a town. If you don't advertise your town you can't expect many people to select it out of the 40+ towns currently available. 229

You have to left-click the spawner with the egg.

You'll be able to do that with /town spawn townname, or /t spawn townname, for short.

Noobstown General / Re: I can't find my plot. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1« on: 16 Feb 2013, 00:26:11 »
There's not much help anyone can really give you other than to ask your town staff or look through your town yourself. There's no records that even us moderators can look through to simply find where your plot is.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Fire Parkour?« on: 15 Feb 2013, 15:27:31 »
You mean that people would fall into lava, thereby having a high chance of dying via lava and losing their items? From what I know, a lot of people wouldn't think before trying it and would then lose their items and complain about it.
However if it was just fire instead of lava then the fire death would allow one to keep their items. I'm all for it if it's only fire. 233
Noobstown General / Re: Long_cat« on: 8 Feb 2013, 17:28:59 »
You should probably ask him yourself instead of on the forum like this? He didn't get kicked off the team or demoted, if that's what you're thinking.
Personally I'd just ask him instead of publicly doing so. 234

Site Announcements / Re: Private Player Reporting« on: 28 Jan 2013, 15:44:15 »
Well considering we wouldn't act on a report unless the proof provided was sufficient enough to actually show that the player has been breaking rules, I think the player wouldn't need to have to respond to it.
In the other situations where a report would need to be investigated I'm sure the moderator who looked at the report would look into the matter first, perhaps question the player if necessary, and any other precautions to make sure that the report is valid before actually moving to ban or warn the player reported. The time for a player to dispute the report would come if the moderator found that the player was to be given punishment (Ie suspension of account or ban). In which case they would need to then explain why they took the action of breaking the rules, request to be unbanned if so, or request to be informed of why they were banned so they would further know. Since we wouldn't act on a report such as "X was griefing", and X was not griefing and there was no proof at all provided by the reporter, X would not need to worry that they were reported at all. With this new privacy policy someone wouldn't have to feel upset that someone would falsely report them, or a reporter wouldn't have to be upset that they're reporting a friend when the friend could see it. 236

Competitions & Events / Re: Server Events!« on: 22 Jan 2013, 23:17:55 »
Please note that we are taking ideas for events, so if you have any amazing event idea contact Waterworth about it, or you could post it here.
Make sure to detail out what the event will be about though and what the overall goal will be. Perhaps even a way to implement the event as well, if it's something that might be hard to do. 238

Noobstown General / Re: Please Help« on: 16 Jan 2013, 21:11:31 »
Some simple ways. You can get 500N daily by going to noobscraft.com/pmc (While online on the server) and voting for the server.
Otherwise it's typically by selling to the server shop, running a chest shop, or selling to a chest shop. Check things on the server shop with /shoplist. Or /shopcheck itemname. You can sell items to the shop by having them in your inventory and doing /sell itemname #. There are a ton of chest shops at the /spawn market, so you go to /spawn, then turn to your right and walk into the shop area. Check the shops for things that people will buy, and you can gain money that way. You could also run your own chest shop, but it doesn't quickly gain you money from what many people have experienced so it's more of a risk than anything. 241
Market Place / Re: price check and a little help?« on: 14 Jan 2013, 19:38:28 »
1) It completely depends on the enchantment. I'm not very good with Sharpness 5, but it could maybe be around 7k perhaps? At least that's how I view things. Outside Silk Touch typically I add 1-2k onto the level of the enchant to determine what is supposedly a "fair" price and then adjust according to whether people go for it or not.
2) Yes you can leave the first line blank, after you create the sign if it is a correct shop input it will automatically put your name as owning the sign. As for line three you can simply put "###" there, you're right that there's no need for a ":", both because you are not buying and selling, and also because you are not only buying from people. (Meaning that you are only selling to customers, not buying the enchanted item from said customers) 3) You'll want to hold the item itself and do "/iteminfo". This will give you the specific ID for the enchanted item for you to use. If there's anything else I can help you with just ask. 242

Noobstown General / Re: Money« on: 11 Jan 2013, 16:34:20 »
Well you could try to do odd jobs for people, but typically from what I see not many people have that many jobs around to honestly make a living off of it, and the jobs that people do give have very little money-reward involved. So it's not that great of a thing.
I'm assuming by "selling" you're meaning selling to the global shop or from a chest shop? If not then you could try selling to a chest shop instead. I believe numerous towns will have chest shops for farming and such, where you could sell to the shop and get a bit more money there than if you had sold to the general shop. I have such a thing at my town farms and in my own shop, and I believe Castaway and Oakvale have this kind of thing as well. The other thing to try with this kind of selling is to check the chest shops in the spawn market and find some that buy items off you that you normally obtain through your Minecrafting time, and then you could sell to those shops when they have space to sell to it. 244
Noobstown General / Re: My town membership problem.« on: 11 Jan 2013, 16:31:46 »
Well the way to see who mayor of a town is would be with /town townname, and it tells you who owns the town.
The easiest thing I can think of is to find yourself a spot in the wilderness or in another town that you can place the chests at, and then go to your old home and request from a mod in /helpop to help you take down the blocks that you want, and to collect the items from your chests to give to you so that you could have the items. Or you could wait until you have enough money for the plot back and risk the players in the town requesting a mod to simply get rid of the items, which I'd prefer not to risk personally. 245

Mob arena currently isn't accessible, I believe because it has some glitches in it due to some updates that cause it to crash the game. At least that's what I heard.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Points« on: 3 Jan 2013, 03:52:27 »
That's the point. Most of the items in the forum shop are either pricey so they'd take too long to get with only 5 points per day, or they're items one could easily get in the game (And get quicker and with far less time) so they wouldn't need to vote to get the points in the first place.
247
Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Points« on: 3 Jan 2013, 01:53:37 »
And if it did take 800 votes, that's more than two years. I don't think someone's going to faithfully vote for two years straight just for one month of VIP. So putting it in at all wouldn't be all that helpful. The most someone could get overall in a short period of time is simple things like ingots or such, which aren't all that helpful in the long run when you could get more of them just by mining for a single day.
Secondly, I believe that by "supporting" he means that it actually helps the server because they use the money given to them to actually pay off server debts, buy new things for the server, etc. Whereas voting only from what I know keeps the server up in the list of popular servers on PMC, so donating and voting are not supporting the server in the same way to put points rewards in each one. 248
Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Noobscraft Tekkit Server« on: 2 Jan 2013, 03:07:04 »
Not to mention that Fatnoob already owns and operates two different servers, Noobstown and Mineapoc, so adding a third one would be incredibly costly, especially just starting it up in the beginning when there wouldn't be any donations until people have really gotten on it and played for a while.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Snow Plates In The Command Shop...!« on: 31 Dec 2012, 23:58:18 »
No, I'm saying I don't see why we necessarily need to add it to the global shop if we can get it in game if it's only used for decoration. I can't think of any decoration items we have in global now but if there are please mention it. Can't get on currently since I'm staying at my dad's this week and I don't get stable FPS on Minecraft to check the global shop list.
![]() Also it would be very limited stock from what I know of the global shop, people probably wouldn't be wasting silk touch on it if it was available normally through that to sell it to the global shop. From what I known of when I buy out something in the global shop, like gunpowder/etc, it only restocks itself up to 250 of an item unless people are selling to it. And I don't know when it restocks itself, I think at least twice a day. That's very minimal stock for 77+ players that are usually on at any one point in time, especially if you don't know when it's going to restock. And considering it seems like only a decoration item people might want large portions of it when they actually buy it. There would also be a large problem of what price it should be at as well. Considering Mycelium and Grass aren't in the global shop but in the VIP shop, I also think that it has a higher chance of only making it into the VIP shop with a good argument, not the global shop. 250
Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Snow Plates In The Command Shop...!« on: 31 Dec 2012, 21:04:57 »
Well unless I misread Miner's first post he said that you can silk touch it off the snow on the ground, and since we have weather on that means that it snows... So you can actually get this snow within the game without having to add it to the global shop.
Otherwise I have no opinion on this because I don't quite see the complete point of being able to get this block right now. |
