Putting in something so that a person can only place X amount of TNT blocks at a time would be yet another plugin that would probably lag the server more. It would have to constantly keep track of how many TNT blocks each person that comes onto the server has, which would probably have to run all the time.

Enjoying the one I have currently. Tried to start out simple with just wood design, but it ended up being more... extravagant. Oh well.

If there's a chance that you'll be gone for long then you should disconnect no matter what. Or at least make sure that you're in a truly safe area where nothing can come and attack you. It's no one else's problem but yours if you can't disconnect properly.

Alright, that's great to know. Would it be telling you admins or logging somehow the nature of the hack? o: It makes me fascinated to think about how it could possibly tell, and what all hacks it knows. Not sure if it would be able to tell x-ray, since that's a texture pack, but it's not impossible to detect just that pack... Hmm...

I noticed after the latest maintenance that there is now a kick message for people "hacking". I was curious under what conditions this would happen. I remember before sometimes it would kick you for no reason. Licksterboy had it happen twice to him while he was Giga Breakering with a good enchanted pick, and me I think around three times while I was Super Breaking during a time I was lagged a bit. Would this cause the game to think we were hacking and kick us? I'm simply purely curious if that's the reason why.

Haha. Well you get a free diamond daily technically. You can vote for the server and receive 500 noobz. And that means you can get 1 diamond from the server shop, which costs $500. Or you could get two if you tried to haggle with a player.
You also get free diamonds during special events like the server reached a large number of members, they give free diamonds to people. There's also events like the 10k members party, where many people got stacks of diamonds from the drop party.
So really we do get free diamonds, you simply have to make sure to do the work for them. ;3

The problem with this to me is that you admins are in creative usually if I remember correctly. It doesn't affect you how much survivability there is on the server. It's different for us. We enjoyed having that aspect of the server, and then it was taken from us without even a "Oh yeah guys, we decided that we'll be putting cooldowns on tps and such, hope you enjoy it". We didn't even get asked if we liked it. As shown by this thread, most all players so far do not enjoy the new addition. We're the ones who are forced to play like this, so why can't we at least have a chance to discuss new changes like this?

Alright, so many things to say about this. Because really none of us honestly like this, even if we're not whining you can't say you don't think it's slightly annoying, can you? I mean we all loved being able to just go /home whenever we wanted to, and now it's gone.
And the worst part to me? We were never even asked about this. We were never told it was going to happen, and that's what angers me the most. We're the players of Noobscraft, we should have say in what's going to happen, especially something like this. The fact that we weren't even asked makes me feel like Fatnoob is starting to care less and less about how we feel and how we enjoy things on the server, and whether we want something changed or not.
Yes, it's only five seconds you have to wait. But that's five seconds that anything can happen to you. You can die via creeper, you could die in lava, etc. We all enjoyed being able to /home whenever we needed to. It wasn't fully survival, but we accepted it because of how helpful it was. And then we can't even move while trying to tp, even tping home you have to wait five seconds.
And this also means that the mods themselves are under this rule. They have very busy times when they get on the server and people can be very impatient. So what if someone's griefing a plot, or trying to set off TNT on a person's plot to kill them? Situations where a mod would need to be there as quickly as possible, or move around as quickly as possible from one tp to the next. This stops them from being able to do quick things like this, which is a severe problem for situations like this.
The fact that Foob took this away from even the mods has me slightly alarmed. I'm curious if he even asked them? I would hope that he would be listening to his mods, but something tells me he may not be. I know myself that Tidal is worried to say anything on this thread because she feels like she's going to get in trouble for it. That should never happen.
Mods are the links between the admins and the players, they talk with them daily, deal with many of their problems and have a good feel for how players feel and think about things. If anything they should be able to speak their mind (Politely of course!) about different changes that will/are going to happen. I find it horrible that even one of the mods feels like they aren't allowed to speak their mind.

First off the lag it would cause. Normally we have around 50 people on the server at most points in time. Now imagine that at least half of these people are in the mining world. Even if only ten of these are it's still a horrible thing to think about. Now imagine that all of these people have bought many amounts of both sand and gunpowder (Which is incredibly easy to do, because everyone sells it. TNT at the moment isn't useful, so who wants to make it?)
Within an hour these people could set off incredible amounts of TNT all by themselves. And we all know that most people don't really care to do it one by one. They'd set a large amount of TNT and let it all go off at once. Now imagine multiple people at various times in the same few minutes doing it. See where I'm getting at this?
Now multiply this just few minutes by a full month. The mining world would hardly have anything left in it. It would probably not even last a week. Now that the border's so small and it only opens up slowly that means that the small amount of what's in the mining world would be blown up quickly, and every time more opens up the TNTers could quickly go and TNT up that area as well.
Let's move onto another horrible topic to consider. Griefers. We all know what amounts they go to to enjoy themselves. Now let's imagine them realizing that they can actually use TNT and blow up things in the mining world, not just player damage. Let's say a griefer has set a huge amount of TNT to go off around mining spawn, and they watch for new players to wander off. What happens next? BOOM. Players dying. Not exactly something we want.
And that's not even to mention those people that would use it just to kill the server. We've seen the lengths people will go to to cause issues. The spammers are nothing compared to people who realize that they can use a ton of TNT to destroy a large space at one time. Good griefers are known to wait and enter the culture before really causing a massive grief, so they'd wait their time before suddenly letting off so much TNT they could actually crash the server.
We've already experienced the server being lagged so much it crashed, back with OakHaven. The admins had to deal with the crashing and the lag and they were very upset by it. I wouldn't want this kind of thing to happen again, especially since it could be repeated multiple times by different people at various times.

Party was hardly fun for me. 5 iron, 1 iron block, a melon slice, and 3 stacks of snowballs. After minutes of not getting anything else I left. Lag was too much for me to stay there for hardly any prizes. :L
Then a x3 event happened, but soon afterwards it was far too laggy to even do anything. :L

Waters, could you add something saying you are not to talk back and disrespect those who are spamming? Some people seem to think it's okay to do so, which from what I remember the mods do not approve of so I assume you admins would not approve of it either.

If I remember what people have said correctly then there used to be a kind of livemap where you could see all of it but it was causing lag so they took it down. Not sure if there's any way for them to get just a snapshot of the world though, doesn't sound too hard to do though of course it won't self-update.

Felt like mentioning what Esp told me earlier today. He'd talked to Ineed about all this, and Ineed said that everything should be sorted out by July.
Not sure exactly how they're going to accomplish this, but at least we're given a date on when things should be better. :L

You'd need to use it on a monster spawner if you were wanting to make more than one mob. And that only works with passive mobs (Excluding squids), not hostile ones. Some people make the mistake to think it'll work with hostiles.

Rude? I'm giving the reasons why she can't be on so no one thinks she's not on because she doesn't care. It's not rude of me, she doesn't mind if I give the reasons for it because of this. It's not like I'm posting her name and phone number and everything, so why does everyone care? She said it was okay to do, no reason to get all over me about it.
Seriously Achmed? There's a difference between your own behavior and a situation you can't control. You're pretty much saying there that it's her fault she can't afford internet, which is not true in the slightest.
"When you apply for moderator, you're agreeing to have the job of putting up with harsh situations if need be. You need to be online regularly. If you're barely online, are you sticking to what you promised in your application? Nope. More mods would possibly just pile on a bunch of AFK players in-game, but if the Admins were to try my suggestion then they'd see who the strong/loyal applicants are, wouldn't they?"
You going to try to claim Minerman did not say that? It's not their fault they have exams which happen around twice a year. It's not fair to say that they have "events" as if they're doing it all the time. Once their exams are done they'll be back on.
I agree we do need more mods, but the mods we currently have are also good. There's no reason for us to say they're not fulfilling their commitments to us when they can't control the fact that exams are so very important to them and they can't sacrifice the exam grades for us. They already give so much of their time, it's just not right to claim they aren't "doing their obligation" to us by demanding more.

Felt like posting here for two separate things. 1, the issue of TidalMewMew not being on as much.Trust me, she's dying to be able to get on every day. She lost her internet because her mom can't even afford it anymore. Their Paypal was hacked by her mother's jealous ex-boyfriend so they can't use that anymore and she's hardly getting enough money to even afford gas so that's shut off. She's now even lost her phone because her father let the contract end and never renewed it. She's only able to access the internet now because she can go to her grandma's every so often and get on a laptop there, but she can't access Minecraft for some reason because the browser never works for it and she can't download it. She is try to fix it though, she's trying to get a job to get money together to pay for a new phone and internet, so I'm hoping soon she'll be able to moderate like she used to. 2, about the mods not being as active.I hate to say it, but Minecraft is not as important as passing college and high school exams. Yes, they signed up to be moderators. But they did not sign up to completely cripple their grades and fail their exams just to take care of us, now did they? It's very selfish to demand them to be on all the time when it can take hours just to study for one single exam. And they've got several. You're really going to demand them to be on 24/7 when they have higher priority things right now? It's very cruel towards the kindness they've shown before when they would get on outside of their sleep times and when they normally wouldn't just to check on us. They're devoted to us, why are we not as devoted to them and respectful that they want to make sure their life won't be screwed over by the exams they are taking? Let's all just cool down here from getting on their cases and calmly wait for them to get back on, as well as waiting for the admins and mods to choose a good new mod that's needed in any timezone that's currently not covered during the regular moderator's schedules. I'm certainly looking forward to potentially having better coverage since I don't like having to see people saying that for hours normally they don't see a mod. I know what that's like, and I don't want it for anyone.

When it says the code 500 thing it's something about the Minecraft servers being down. If you disconnect you wouldn't be able to get back on the server, but so long as you don't disconnect you can continue playing as regular.
It lasts about an hour or two usually, from what I've heard.

First I think this would cause way too much lag, especially if like it says it stores the data of every single mob someone catches. Now multiply that by the 100+ people who play daily. Our lag that we currently have would suddenly spike up far too high.
It also would be far too easy to get mob eggs. That wasn't the point of what the mods and admins wanted. That's why we have spawn eggs limited to the forum shop as well as drop parties and such, because it makes it hard to obtain them. This way it would be far too easy for just anyone to go around getting them.
The admins/mods also didn't want to allow hostile mobs like this, they only gave us the option to change spawners for passive mobs because of the despawning problem the server has because of how it spawns and despawns things to keep lag low.

How would the kiosk area be removed because of the trading district? The two are completely different things having nothing to do with each other. I don't see why anyone would remove the kiosks simply because trading was happening.

No. Just no. I hate politics, and everything people will say would be lies. Notice how government people hardly ever stick to what they say? It would be the same thing on this. People would just smooth-talk themselves into mod position, and then they'll be in mod powers. I for one would certainly not want that.
I prefer to stick with what we have, which is people are picked for mod because how they act on the server and what they've done deserves to be mod. Not that they talked their way into it.
