In that case we should just have item trading as well that's more safe. Since items can be a lot more important than xp levels, especially if it's diamonds.

I just wanted to point out that this is a survival server. As in... you know... you die you lose your stuff. This kind of goes against the whole point of a survival server, even if you have to pay a fee to get your money. That's part of the charm of survival server, you have to be careful with what you're doing and make sure you're not being crazy if you have levels on you.
And it's actually not that hard to get levels on the server, Dracomere has a dark room with beacon protection (It has regeneration, strength 2, and resistance 2 on almost the entire area so you can pretty much 1-hit most mobs with a good weapon).
You'd need to make sure to bring armor of course as the mobs can swarm, but usually you're pretty safe there if you're paying attention. I've been told it can take just around 10 minutes this way to get to level 30 to enchant things.
If you needed directions towards this specific grinder to see if you like it or not you can usually get there through /visit mrfloris, or recently because he's changed his visit to the COTM you can do /visit nixxy73. If neither of those work you can do /town spawn dracomere, then turn around and walk straight ahead until you're at the dark room.

Update of all shops being sold, just need to sell the mob drop shop to Xavier and then they'll all be gone.

Certainly, I'll sell it to you in game then.

Either is fine. Next time I see you I'll sell the shop to you then. ^^

Dracomere currently has one shop available to be purchased and run. A shop costs $5000 and has no taxes on it, can be bought by someone out of town as well. Shops have a few rules attached to them that you'll need to follow: - Can only sell what your shop is. So for example if your shop is redstone you won't be selling wool
- Can build downwards and edit the floors of your shop but you cannot build upwards/expand the shop upwards.
- Mention what color/material you'd like your dragon head to be made out of. Nothing ridiculous like emerald.
- Must be able to keep it moderately stocked, if you're inactive for longer than a month without warning you lose the shop
Redstone ShopThis shop will be focused on redstone supplies, such as the ores, redstone itself, and anything that has to do with redstone contraptions like hoppers or repeaters. If you're interested in and believe you can run one of these shops reply to here or contact me ingame. Once a shop is bought I'll remove it from this list.

I'd still agree with Law by that point.... you'd still have the resources to make your own hoes. And by that point using stone hoes isn't going to be helping you very much. As he pointed out when you're heavily into farming like this you should be able to make your own tools and not to need /kit tools so much.

Update to this since I did some tests just now with some people, one person was an ally in my nation, another was a resident in my nation, and lastly was a complete outsider.
Now I set two chunks within my sugar farm to wilds plot type and turned on all destroy permissions [resident/ally/outsider]. These three people were all able to successfully destroy the produce that was in those chunks while at the same time being unable to destroy the netherrack/nether brick slab or place anything that was not produce in those chunks.
This is what wilds plot type is supposed to do, so that's all well and good.
Except I tried to then implement this exact system into the other farms that we have and it wouldn't allow anything. I had the chunk set to the wilds type, had all destroy permissions on and they showed up as being turned on every time I checked /plot perm to see them.
However when they tried to destroy produce on the chunk it wouldn't allow them to. It would repeatedly tell them that "doesn't allow resident/ally/outsider" to destroy here. Which makes no sense, because there's absolutely no permission differences between the chunks and yet it's not working now.
So I guess wilds plots somewhat work but also somewhat don't work. So any idea on why it wouldn't be working for some plots but does for others? It seems to be something with the wilds plot type itself, because I have the exact same permission for destroy/build when I turn it into a regular plot type and there's no destroy permission issues.
Update: All the wilds plots that I've had permissions problems with have been owned once before, but are now not owned by anyone. The ones that I've had success with and work properly have never been owned before. I'm not sure if this is what's causing it but it's at least perhaps a clue towards what's wrong with it.

I noticed this never got any response and with the recent issues that we seem to be having with some griefs I was wondering if it could get looked at and maybe have an admin response to see if it could be possible to implement something like this? Pretty please and thank you~

Personally have to say I'm pleased with the response, it's nice to know that it wasn't intentional. I hadn't gotten any information about it, all that the latest thread said was that some updates were made and parties were cleared, so I had no idea what was going on when I wasted several armor/tools and kept getting one ingot back.
It's a lot better to have Advanced Salvage placed at Salvage level 750, which would be a total of 1500 levels in repair + fishing, than at 2000. Much gratitude for that, I had no idea if 2000 was what it was permanently at or just a temporary thing.
I'm also pleased to hear that fishing will be getting easier to level as well! This is definitely going to give me more reason to level fishing, I quit with that skill a long time ago just because I got distracted in other things. Now I have something to level when I'm not doing other things.
So just a little calculation here, if anyone really wants Advanced Salvage but doesn't want to get a single level in fishing it should work that you can get 1500 repair and still get advanced salvage. Since the formula should be = (Repair + Fishing)/2 = Salvage, this means that if you had 1500 repair and 0 fishing you would end up with:
(1500 + 0)/2 = 750, tada Advanced Salvage! There's all kinds of ways you can get yourself up to level 750 Salvage between Fishing and Repair, especially with Fishing going to be easier to level whenever they have that figured out.
[Hm this sounds like a good reason to get some fishing parties together to have some community fun while raising each other in fishing party.... la di da just sayin']

But the point is that Advanced Salvage should not be effecting fully repaired items. It says exactly in the text there "this ability allows you to repair damaged items". It should in no way be effecting fully repaired items, as that is not part of the ability.
My repair is at 1001, my fishing is 157. My salvage therefore is only at 578. Now let's take the highest ranked players in both those stats. Repair highest is at 1134, highest fishing is at 702. Now if that was the same player [and it is not] their salvage skill would be at 918. Not even 1000 yet.
So therefore to get Advanced Salvage they'd need 1082 more salvage levels, which you would then double due to averaging Repair/Fishing, and would be 2164 more levels in repair/fishing. Just to even get Advanced Salvage. Even after all of that hard effort..... you'd still be stuck only getting 1 ingot per item salvaged.
Who knows how many more hundreds of levels [weeks/millions of noobs/etc] you'd have to slog through to even manage to get 2 ingot/items per salvage.
I spent probably 3-4 weeks putting time into fishing just to get level 157. And I spent probably more than 1.5MNbz just to get from 700-1000 repair. I can't imagine the insane amount of time and money you'd have to get to 2000 in each skill just to unlock the ability.

So I just achieved level 1000 repair and was looking forward to finally be able to use salvage... only to discover that it's completely ruined now. While it's quite a rub to learn it's now a child skill of Repair and Fishing, which means that I would be forced to leveling the boring fishing skill in order to get much out of the skill, it's even more of a rub to learn that Salvage isn't even working the way it used to.
The way I understand it Salvage now lets you salvage damaged items after a certain amount of levels [2000 in the case of the server, which would probably be around level 2000 repair and 2000 fishing considering how it adds the skill levels together and then divides them by two. And after you attain Advanced Salvage you STILL have to level the skill up in order to get more than 1 ingot for even a slightly damaged piece of armor/tool.
Now maybe I could live with that (although really? Level 2000 repair and fishing in order to even unlock the skill? Barely anyone even has 1000 repair, let alone fishing) but what I find most rubbing is that I only get one ingot/item back from even a fully-repaired piece of armor/tool. I've tested it several times.
A helmet pre-Salvage change would give me five ingots back when I salvaged it. Now I only get one back. And it doesn't matter what the item is. It gave me back one ingot whether I was salvaging a helmet or pants, both of which require different amounts to create.
So... what's the point of the Salvage skill now when it's completely useless? I'd rather just sell the armor/tools after repairing them then waste them for just one ingot/item back.

Hello there, TwistedLover here! I'm making this topic so people will have an idea of what chests at my shop have space in order to sell things to it to help people see if they have any spare items they'd like to sell to me!
I have both a mining and a wood shop in Dracomere, the mining shop you can find left of spawn in the white dragon head shop, and the wood shop is right of spawn in the wood dragon head.
Key: Item Buying price per : Selling Price Per [The left price will be the price that I sell to YOU for, and the right is what I buy FROM you for]
Anything on the list bolded means there is space in the chest to sell that item to me. Message me if the chest is full and I will remove the bolding on this list, I will NOT empty the chest.

Dracomere now officially has a large public mob grinder! Anyone has access to it, although you are required to behave while using the grinder. If someone else is using it you're to make sure that you don't run up and kill the mobs that are aggravated on them, as that is against the server's rules and is considered stealing from the player.
Feel free to cooperate with other players, join a party together to share XP! When you have ten bones from the skeletons feel free to summon a wolf to run around with you to raise taming up a bit as you go on. The beacons in the grinder will also help with your regeneration and defense as well.

It was a rank where the person only had access to inviting people into the town.

This has now been updated today! Please note that it's been a while since I last updated this, therefore quite a few of the differences are going to be higher than normal.

So I was reading about how in towny there's a configuration for the wilds plot types that allow the server owners to designate which blocks/items can be destroyed on any plot that's set to the wilds type.
I was curious if it would be possible for the configuration to be set so that people could only destroy the logs/leaves of all the tree types, and all the types of farming equipment that would be within a town, such as: Cactus, netherwart, vines, cocoa beans, pumpkin/melon [not the stems, therefore people can't remove those], carrots, wheat, and potatoes.
Lily pads could be kept off the destroy list as I know that some towns would prefer to use them in their sugar cane farms as they make movement a lot easier unlike slabs, however people inevitably always end up smacking the lily pads and would require one to keep replanting them as needed.
If this was implemented it would make it extremely easy to keep town farms protected without any need for grief fixing when we get the odd griefer that decides they want to take advantage of a town's kindness.

I'd like to mention that apparently 16 easter eggs can get you vary differing items: From enchanted things, to iron ingots, to gold ingots, etc.
The golden egg I've heard only gives you a diamond and 64 bottles of enchanting. [Which is the same as killing 64 skeletons/zombies/etc]

For potions you'd need to talk to Adam on whether you'd be selling something that he's already selling and whether that's okay with him or not. However everything else sounds okay to me. I'll have to build the shop for you and set it for sale however, so I'll inform you when that's done.
