Hey all, I hope everyone is doing well and have enjoyed the release so far, we've been super busy answering questions, fixing bugs and making small tweaks here and there.. we feel like the release was a massive success with very little downtime overall (compared to previous version releases). Just so you guys understand we are still in BETA and still tweaking/changing things, we are aware of some skills being completely out of whack and others that need a slight touch up. We're slowly changing things each day and trying them out, gaining feedback and making further changes. Here is a small plan of some changes to come this week, which didn't quite make it into the initial release: - Shops and Villager trading around the town, currently the dock/shop area is completely empty of Villagers but we plan to populate those areas this week! Villagers will only accept the trading currency gems, so make sure you stock up! /gem- VIP Acrobatics training/Shop, as VIP have been asking/requesting those will be updated next week also! - Coupons throughout the entire week I will be working on sending out ALL of the coupons to the respective players and ensuring all players are able to redeem them without issue, I'll be around helping and answering PMs if you have any issues regarding those. - Guest area and tutorial will be shaped up and ready for launch, to give those new players a good understanding of how Noobstown runs! - Game statistics, game statistics will be returning at some point next week! ~ Wonder who has made it to the leader boards thus far! - Further additions to the Donation store - We'll be trialing some more of our spawn games, such as horse racing, spleef and pvp related fun! - Ironing out bugs with the Chunky system - Preparing for Town creations and helping support mayors in anyway we can! - Kick starting the Theater booking system! - Auction statistics (Might not be next week, but coming soon) - Auction tweaks (Messages when you have sold items/how much you earn etc!) - Probably missed more.. but expect more fixes and general maintenance! Next weekend will also be Valentines, we don't plan to completely transform spawn this time due to the whole release but you can expect some Valentines related events and fun! ~ We've got some exciting plans! I would just like to personally thank you all for your dedication to the server, we were a little overwhelmed on Friday night.. so much support and love for this little thing we call 'Noobstown' but alas, the server has re-opened and is back on its way up to 24/7 up time! We hope you are all settling in and enjoying yourself, we've worked so hard on everything, and just can't express how happy we are to see players finally getting to grips with all the new features! We've also discussed possibly lowering the time before we allow guests online due to how smooth the release has been so far, so we might be opening to the public a day or two early Anyway, before this turns into a complete waffling post.. I hope you continue to enjoy the server, I will be around trying to catch up with you all and checking your progress! See you in the server (I can actually say that now.. win!) Noobscraft,

Hey all, As we are drawing closer to the release (excited!!) I feel a post of how to go about your first day on Noobstown is in order and also to clear up some confusion about how money will be generated in the economy. As in all Noobstown versions, we've always had a server shop system that allowed 'Junky' type trades to be sold and bought for a base price and this tradition will continue in v6. However, we will not be allowing purchasing of items through this system, we specifically wish to avoid spawning items through this mechanic, as it simply creates false units and reduces the amount of player trading/demand to that item. The Global shop/Server shop as you may know it will be used to sell goods, which will give you a basic amount of cash to play with and start moving it around between players via player trading. The Auction system will be driven 100% by player based trades, and this will be where your money can be used to buy goods from other players, almost every single item can be sold on the Auction, including personalized books.. you could be the next big author! Alternatively to our auction system we will continue the tradition of Chest based shops, with the removal of the in-spawn Market (Replaced with auction system) the chest shop system should only be used for local trading, as trading via this method is very limited at trading across a wide audience. Auction listings on the other hand will be listed on the main auction page, which every single member can see, buy straight out or bid on if you have opted to allow bids. The auction system can be used in-game or out, this means you don't even have to login to earn money, you can become a master of the auction offline the server and collect your goods when they are ready in-game at a later date, its really that versatile! The new system offers all players a fantastic platform for trading on Noobstown and we are so proud to finally release the system publicly on the 7th. Killing monsters! We've brought a whole new mechanic over to Noobstown and that is a fully functioning bounty style system for hostile mobs. Killing mobs to earn money is an awesome incentive to get out into the dangers of the wild, for every kill you will gain a small monetary bonus! ~ Casino Try your luck on the slot machines, you could win big! Entering the lottery Each day there will be a Lottery, in order to take part you must first purchase a ticket. Once purchased you will then be eligible for the Jackpot. (Jackpot = the amount of tickets sold) Voting for the serverEvery day you may vote for the server. By voting you will earn a reward! Completing QuestBy completing Quest you will earn money based rewards. Important InformationEarning & Prices As you may or may not be aware the prices have been upscaled since version 5, this means that there is a lot more room for prices to go up and down without crashing completely. In the announcement of our town prices we originally stated they would start at 85k in Version 6, since then we have decided to upscale the economy by x10 this means the price for a town will start at 850k.. don't worry! I know what you are thinking, how the heck am I going to make that much!? - All of the sale and reward prices will be upscaled too, you won't notice the different between the length of making from 0-85k to the length of 0-850k. Literally the only change is the size of the number, this avoids items dropping into small digits. (Example: V5 price of dirt being 0.5) Server shop Junk system demonstrationPlease be aware item and prices shown in this video are subject to change before release: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RGxisoUCyQ#ws
More ways to make money, coming soon - Quests (Released shortly after initial launch) - Fully functioning player job system (Released with site update) - Network Game and Hub system rewards (Big update for the future) You've made it to the end, congratulations and best of luck at becoming a Noobillionaire! Can't wait to see you all on release, Noobscraft team

Update: Arrived at New York safe and sound!Hey all, I am pleased to announce Version 6.0 will finally open on the 7th of February at 9pm GMT ( What is it in my timezone?). I and other members of the team and thankful that the project is finally coming to a close, after a series of bad luck and hours upon hours of developing/planning headaches. Just recently we've been having issues with our network in Chicago and are now forced to make the move to New York, this will happen on either the 29th/30th next week. So if you live near/in New York you are now even closer to the machine; Yay! Now for the important information: Release Info! What's happening on release day?On the night of the release, we'll be opening the server three hours earlier for VIP and Veteran members. These players will be auto-whitelisted and will be able to connect when the countdown hits (00 | 00 | 00 | 00). After this time a post will be created in which we will be white listing members manually, the reason for this is that due to both technical and stability issues we think the best outcome of a stable and safe start to the version would be to keep the influx of players completely under control. This means if you are not VIP/Veteran YOU will not be white listed automatically and will have to request access on the post, we will only be accepting members that played in V5 for the first week and will be white listing EVERYONE that makes a reply (no application required). Players will be white listed in intervals and white listing may/will slow down depending on issues that occur or maintenance going on. What to expect within the first 3 hours:- Unexpected issues - Bugs, Glitches, Crashes - Random/Unannounced maintenance's/hot fix What to expect within the first week- Unexpected issues - Bugs, Glitches, Crashes - Announced frequent/random maintenance's/hotfix Will the donation shop be live on release?Yes, the donation shop will be live on release, however, you will only be able to purchase VIP upgrades/lifetime for the first week. After the period of the BETA week, we'll start adding more packages for the donation system, reason being is that issue will occur within the first week and we don't want to create more issues around donation gifts being lost etc. If I buy VIP will I have access to the early 3 hours?Yes, you can buy VIP and be auto-whitelisted into the first three hours/BETA Week. CouponsDonation coupons will be sent out throughout the first week at random intervals, if you are still waiting on receiving coupons from the points convert, please be patient. You will receive them eventually! GuidesDuring the days leading up to the release guides will be posted about certain features of the server, those being for example: the Chunk system/Auction etc.

Hey guys, After hours upon hours of uploading, the wild world is finally ready for preview! ~ The current world is being rendered on the live map. I've set the default load map to the Wilderness, if you want to check the 'Town' world again, simply open the menu on the right of the map and select 'world'. Again, feel free to look around and pick your spot! http://www.noobscraft.com/map/ <- Click the link to see our Wild world. Some elements may be currently rendering, the 3d viewing functions will take longer to update. 3D elements can be viewed on the right hand menu What is the wild world? The Wilderness world is an area for all players on the server to live privately or with a close knit group of friends, the world is completely ran on our brand new chunk based protection system 'Chunky' which allows for personal chunk by chunk protection. The Wilderness world was designed to be feature rich, full of imagination and incredible scenery. We wanted every small area and each small detail to be personal to the player that lives there. Every single corner you turn you will find something new, exciting and inspiring. We've jam packed the entire world with crazy, funky and fun biomes and we cannot wait for you all to begin your journey out into the wild. Time to start planning your personal home, because we're planning ours! Noobscraft Team,

Hey guys, Today I'm going to share with you the full scale live-map preview of our Town (Spawn) world, this world was custom crafted with Towns in mind from the large scale biomes, to the highest mountains our blood, sweat and tears have gone into creating the most easy-building world possible for the most EXPANSIVE town experience. So, have a look around... pin point a spot and get your last minute planning sorted, because a whole bunch of Noobs are coming to.. town? http://www.noobscraft.com/map/ <- Click the link to see our Town world. Some elements may be currently rendering, the 3d viewing functions will take longer to update. What is the town (main) world? The main world is the world which our spawn is located, and also the home of all of our Towns here on Noobstown. This world will enable you to form towns, expand them and build a community within a community! No longer shall you feel the pain of having to trample a small wilderness house, or to feel suffocated by the lack of space. The Town world offers thousands of chunks of space at your finger tips, the biomes have been designed to offer as much flat-land space as possible, reducing all the clearing work for setting up a town. This means, you can jump right in and start building an empire without having to touch the landscape; it's literally build for towns! We hope you all enjoy this preview, and we can't wait to see buildings forming on our landscape. The Wilderness world will be added to the livemap shortly, which is a little more funky and split up (Biome wise); a world built for thousands to share and a place to feel secluded in your own little paradise. Adding the last minute touches, and preparing the version.. Noobscraft staff ~

Hey all, I hope you are all doing well and preparing for the big holiday season ahead! ~ This is just going to be a quick update to inform you all of the current progress with Version 6.0 and a plan of action. As you know, we've been quite unlucky with Minecraft updates as of recent and thus has set us quite far back in terms of releasing "V6". Such quite humorous comments have been thrown around, we'd like to share a few: "V6 is like Half life 3" and "V6 won't happen in my lifetime" but I can assure you, it will and we have a plan of action! On the 20th of December I and other members of the team officially break away for the holidays (Don't know if it is the same for you guys) which means we can start focusing on preparing the version based on what Bukkit has released thus far, which is moderately stable. This means, with regret, we won't have a December release . This is obviously because of Christmas being 5 days following and members of the team spending time with family (rightly so). However, we have quite a large break which will roughly last until the 20-29th of January which we plan to slot the release sometime during the 2nd-29th. Unfortunately, I cannot give a specific date but use that as a rough estimate. When we feel it is appropriate to restart the launch clock we will do so. I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and I apologize once again for the community not being as one for the back end of this year. As always, I cannot tell you how much we appreciate your dedication and support towards the server and your ability to keep the community as one big strong family. We hope the new year ahead will be the most enjoyable for all of you, and we can't wait to see you on the server in 2014. Remember! The Calendar is still on-going via the site and you can still keep picking up some tokens and other rewards during the Holiday season. Don't miss out! Additional Information: - Donation coupons will have a new period set after we release to give you ample amount of time to spend and use them. - Donation coupons will be sent out as soon as possible, don't worry if you haven't received yours yet. - Anyone who has won VIP/Had VIP before the release will have their time added and will be instantly granted access to VIP based perks on Day 1. If I have missed out anything important in this update which concerns you, please comment below and we'll try out best to answer all of your questions/concerns. Have a Merry Christmas and a fantastic New Year, Noobscraft Team

Hey all, I understand that everyone had hoped to be playing v6 by now and believe me, so did the entire team. However, there are reasons why we haven't released and those reasons outweigh any need to rush or push out a release just for the sake of downtime. Let me briefly explain the chunky system and direction we are taking v6. As you know we have been planning and preparing v6 to last much longer than previous versions, this means a lot of thought and preparation has gone into keeping the world clean and fresh for years to come. Our aims are to minimize the amount of inactive builds or "ruins" and generally just have a world full of active buildings and players, who are devoted to our server. The vision meant we had to create a custom system, which you all know by now as "Chunky" ~ The way chunky works is that it records the entire world data as it was naturally formed (Before any players even touch it) this will mean the saved recording will be like the first time you back up a computer, completely fresh and untouched. This saved data will be continuously used throughout the entire version; as an example: Someone wishes to reset their land or an automated inactivity/ban land refresh happens, which means the data will be grabbed and the chunks will be restored to the time before players walk the very earth. So why can't you release in 1.6.4? Well, in 1.6.4 the way data is saved and the way we wanted to save data will no longer work in 1.7.2. Meaning any data we save of the fresh world would not roll back, due to the data being unreadable and old. This is due to Minecraft itself changing the way world chunk data is saved in 1.7.2. What would have happened if we released in 1.6.4?Here are a list of possible outcomes of releasing on 1.6.4 - Data is saved the old way and thus by the time 1.7.2 hits the fresh world data, which is the source of data where backups are pulled from to keep the world fresh will not work. Completely nullifying the entire plan for the version. Which would result in another world reset a year later, due to the world being a mess again!
- The system not functioning correctly due to these changes, which would cause player block and inventory data to be rolled back or possibly lost. Losing items 1 month after the version hits... disaster!?!
- The entire auction system will be broken when 1.7.2 hits, meaning any saved items on there or any items currently listed will be entirely lost. Due to the way 1.7.2 has changed block and item saved data
- Towns being completely lost due to Towny not updating their 1.7.2 saving methods
I hope this gives those people asking "Release on 1.6.4" the answer they needed, it is not ideal and it is not going to benefit us in the long run. However, we are devising a backup plan ~ Which means we are looking into creating a super converter, the converter will change all old data to the new data. This comes with a price! ~ lots and lots of time and devotion which could be spent on ensuring a safer and more reliable release on 1.7.2. Again, this is not ideal and would only be created in the worst possible scenario in which Bukkit don't feel they can update for a long, long time. In saying that, we are still relying on Bukkit to continue their hard work at getting 1.7.2 out and remember, the converter is merely a backup plan and is something we are not going to push too much for as we believe it will not only waste time but also mean a less stable v6 release as it could have been. I hope you all understand and don't vent too much frustration towards us, we are trying our best to ensure v6 will be stable and reliable server for years to come. Rushing the fundamental core development and launch would forever debilitate the version, which is not something we want to happen after all of our work on the version. Since we released all those years ago we have always tried to give our players the best possible experience and service, we aren't miracle workers but we do try our very hardest. We do this because of our great community and the sense of friendship and devotion that our players give to this little thing we call 'Noobstown' so please, just hold on tight and wait that little bit longer. We are thankful for those who still support us and will be there from the day we launch the future of our server. Keeping busy, preparing the version ~ Waiting on news from Bukkit, Noobscraft team

Welcome to Town Web Inventory Access Point Applications. This application is specifically for requesting a web inventory access chest setup in your town, much like the main spawn (Noobstown). This will enable your citizens to use the web inventory without traveling back and forth to spawn.
Web Inventory Access Points require two sets of boxes (chests) Deposit and Collection.
Deposit enables players to transfer items in-game to the website and Collection enables them to collect web items in-game. Before you apply you need to ensure you have the facility for these chests in your Access Point building, please correctly define two sections of space for both collection and deposit chests.
Towns of 10 or more citizens are eligible for an Access Point, please do-not apply until you have the required amount.
The Application:
Town: Type here your Town name.
PLAN: Do you have an Access Point building? Are their locations for both collection and deposit boxes?
CO-ORDINATES: X: Y: Z:
Amount of Members: *Please only make 1 application
Thank you!

Hey guys,
I am happy to announce that across the entire Network we'll be creating an Event/Games environment in which you'll be able to connect to from your home server (Noobstown or Apocalypse) and play with each other in one big hub. This system will be available early 2014 and will be rolled out across both servers, allowing you to compete in mini games and events to earn tokens and rewards for the server you play on.
This games will be run on entirely new machines, so they won't be effecting the performance or stability of the main server and functions. This allows us to add lots of unique and exciting events for our community to share, and we can't wait to see you all playing as one.
How will I gain access to this 'Event Hub'?
You will walk through a portal on either Noobstown or Apocalypse and your character will begin a tracking process in which all your progress and rewards will be transferred to your home server. If you play both you will be given some form of option to select where you want the rewards to be sent to.
What can we expect?
Automated games that include our unique games that have been created by staff including The Cube, Sand pit and Snowball. We will also be working with the community to develop new exciting games for both communities, taking suggestions and advice to better build our Games network for the community.
How will this be moderated?
We are going to be bringing in both staff teams from either server, which can collectively monitor the environment within the games hub system. Interaction will only occur in games and collectively the two servers will share the same rules, we will be working closely to tighten the gap between any rule difference early and ensure that when the two meet in this world, the ruling will be completely understood from both servers.
What will the rewards be?
Most likely token based, continuing the systems we have ran in the past the will be exchangeable for perks and rewards in your survival/rpg home server.
When?
As said above we'll be looking into rolling this out early 2014 for beta testing, and slowly as more games are fully functioning make this completely accessible for everyone.
Thank you and we look forward to strengthening the two communities and creating a fun environment for the two.

Hey all,
I hope you are all doing well and enjoying October, eating plenty of candy and dressing up for the occasion. We are again sorry that Noobween will not be shared properly in the community this year, and we will work to ensure our next big event; Noobmas, is an extra special experience!
I just wanted to write a quick update so you don't feel out of the loop!
1.7 was a huge milestone for Mojang and a lot of their code has changed, this has resulted in delays with Bukkit because they have to catch up on all those changes. I'm sure they are working as fast and efficiently as possible, but for now we are waiting patiently for the release of a 1.7 build. Once released, we can prepare for our v6 launch (finally!).
Later today, or possibly tomorrow there will be a video released giving you a run-down of the all-new Auction system in v6. The Auction is one of the most exciting features of v6, as it gives the community a fantastic tool to create a stable trading environment. Not only this, but you can manage trading on and off the server... so, you don't even need to login to check if your items are selling!
We are excited to share the new server with you all, after months and months of development it literally feels like a life-time since things were normal here at Noobstown. Anyway, we do hope you all have a wonderful Halloween and don't try to miss us too much.
Small competition
We want to see your most scariest Halloween skins ~ Post below your skin and a small description about it!
- The most creative skin will receive: 3000 Tokens and 1 month of V6 VIP
Try to post skins in 3D!
Deadline: Nov 3rd

Minecraft 1.7: The Update that Changed Delayed the World Hey all, It is with regret to announce that the release of Minecraft 1.7 could most likely be on Friday (The date v6 was schedule to launch) we have decided it will be in the servers best interests to postpone the date of launch. We are not comfortable releasing completely newly coded plugins designed around 1.6+ on a 1.7 build, as this will not only require re-coding but also coding to account for the version changes and effects on our custom biomes. As well as this, we also have to wait for each plugin that has been created by developers from bukkit to update, which could also take some time. This also create serious implications for our Noobsween Events. As we are clearly running out of time anyway (Almost end of October), the chances of a full scale Noobween this year will not be possible. However, we do not plan to give up on the event completely! there will still be small Noobween themed events running into November. Again, we apologize for further delays. Quality over quantity! we wan't Noobstown v6 to launch safely and correctly and these are the necessary precautions we will have to take. Information regarding the new release date will be announced as soon as possible. You can expect maintenance to be going on multiple times a day, at any point and unannounced. All bug reports and feedback are appreciated as always, and we'll be working around the clock to re-build the stability that the community grew used to in v5. Once again, we would like to thank you all for your incredible patience and understanding during this whole process. Let the new era and fun begin, good luck and enjoy the experience!
