Noobstown will be undergoing some changes during the next few weeks, we have some good ideas to improve the server and keep the experience of Noobstown and multiplayer at it's finest.

Changes:

Out with the old world and in with the new!

PVP World has now been transformed into an events world, this world will contain Games, PVP (Player vs Player), PVE (Player vs Environment) and finally Seasonal for Easter, Christmas, Halloween and Valentines related events.

The world is all about fun, it's a great way to break off from your average minecraft survival game. The world only currently contains PVP Battlegrounds but we are adding more events such as mob arenas, spleef, races, party rooms, horde games and much more.

Chatting

We understand that our current chatting system is annoying and confusing. I personallly find there is so much unwanted chat in the global channel that really doesn't need to be there. Here are some examples: "Hey John, throw me an apple my hunger bar is low" Why would you wan't to see this? It's something that should be said in Local chat if you are near a friend. Another example is "Kill John he's up in the tree's" As a player not PVPing this would be quite annoying.

Heres where the new system comes in!

Chat channels for each world you'll not be able to leave these and you will be forced to join them upon entering a new world, this will significantly reduce the amount of unwanted spam in the main world chat.

Chat channels:

General (Main world)
Nether (Nether world)
EnderRealm (The End)
Events (Events world)
Mining (Mining world)
Local (localised chat for every world, 100 block talking distance)

This new system will categorise players into the correct channel depending on what world you are in. Example: If you are playing PVP and talking about who you just killed you will be talking to other players PVPing or playing games.

The system will also block spam and spam bots, convert CAPS to non caps and censor swearing.

Rewards & Community voting

In the future I hope to host a community voting and reward system for hard work and dedication to the server. This would allow the community to come together to vote for your favourite staff member, town, player or even Admin!

Noobstown is currently converting to 1.2, we should hopefully be online later today. Expect some plugin's to be down or broken. We'll keep you updated on the conversion as it happens!

We have introduced a Dynamic Economy that of course updates prices of items depending on the amount of sales or purchases made. The Global shop is now stocked from the players of Noobstown, every sale you make contributes to the overall stock of the shop allowing buyers to buy the items.

New commands:

/sell (item) (amount)

/buy (item (amount)

Example:

- /buy stone 1

- /sell stone 1

- /buy 1 1

- /sell 1 1

This shows that you can not only use the name of the item but also the ID. (Stone ID = 1) You can find the ID's of all items by typing in Google "Minecraft item and block ids"

As we have just introduced this new system tweaking will be made over the coming weeks to ensure everything is running smoothly, we hope this will bring a whole new level of trading and earning Noobz. You can now buy and sell almost every item, how exciting!
