Just a weekly update, I have managed to fix Towny everything should work correctly now. Automated donations are coming soon we are just waiting for the developer to add some features that will work well with Noobstown. Our brand new Hub is nearly ready with around 15 teleport spots for towns!

Our big server update will be next month after this months payment runs out then I can buy a better server, so that will happen next month along with Update 4.0. Hopefully by then 1.8 is release and we can have our new worlds.

We are still waiting on our Live help system on the website and a new ticket system will be coming to Noobstown, you will be able to leave tickets to moderators for any type of problem, a Moderator will then answer the ticket and help you.

Next month we are hoping to hire 2-3 more Operators to the team get your applications in now or upgrade them, we will be looking through them soon.

On another note, people of Noobscraft will be or have started back at school. From all of the staff members we wish you the very best in this school year, work hard!

Chest shops

An easy way to create shops!
You don't need to be on-line to earn money anymore!

How to create a ChestShop?
- Place a chest, if you haven't already.
- Place a sign 1 block near the chest (for example, above the chest)
- On the sign, write:



(Item name can actually be item ID or alias)
First line will be filled in by the plugin automatically.
Price is a combination of buy and sell price.
You have to have B near buy price (people buy from you), and S near sell price (people sell to you).
If you have both B and S, separate them with a colon - :
For example:



means that AcrobotPL wants to sell 64 diamonds for 10 currency, and buy them back from you for 5 currency.

- Now, when you finish editing the sign, if LWC is turned on in config, shop will be automatically created.

USING SHOPS
You could buy and sell by right and left clicking the sign for a long time.
Now it's the only way to use the shops.
It's SIMPLE!
Just LEFT-CLICK to SELL to shop, and
RIGHT-CLICK to BUY from shop.
(This can be changed in the config file)

DESTROYING SHOPS
If you want to delete your old shop, simply SNEAK and destroy the sign.
It's that easy =)

STOCKING THE SHOPS
You can either open the chest and stock it up, or click on your own sign - it will open chest's inventory (that way you can have chests not openable by other people for sure )

Money when starting Noobstown decreased from 100 to 20

Donation Update


We are planning an installing auto-donations you will simply be able to type a command, choose a package and follow the link to the website to pay. Once you have paid you simply run a command /buy claim and you will receive the package you have paid for.


This makes Donations auto-mated and makes my life easier, no more waiting to receive your items.

It's getting nearer the time for our next big update, here is the list of changes/updates:

We are changing the price of towns, so that the increase in towns being created slows down. Hopefully this will encourage more people to join the current towns and work their way up to the top. If you were thinking of buying a town, buy one now before the update begins.

The price to claim a town chunk will stay the same.

For the past few days the server has been crashing and the error messages I am getting are due to red stone and pistons, this might be a problem with bukkit or someone has created a huge red stone/piston contraption that lags at the server enough to crash it. I will look into these issues over the next few days.

Upgrading to latest bukkit and also updating all plug-ins... 5mins!

Hello all, just thought I would share this if you did not already know about the coming update! - Enjoy


 Most of the basics of the game engine is in place, so it’s time to flesh this game out into something more gamey. More content, more exploration, more things to do, and interesting combat! Once this update is out, there will only some tweaks, optimizations and code cleanups left to the core game before we can call it a full release.

We’ve got a list of some 40+ things we want to add to the game, some small, some big. Some huge. We’ve finished a fair number of the items, but there’s still a significant amount of work left. While I can’t reveal the date yet for various reasons, we do have a release date for the Adventure Update in mind, and we’re hoping we’ll be able to hit it.

Jens and I are keeping the exact contents of the update secret, but we do leak some information every now and then to keep people interested and to stop us from going insane. For the most immediate spoilers, you can follow us on Twitter (@notch and @jeb_), or on Google+ (+Markus Persson and +Jens Bergensten).

Here are a few of the things we’ve revealed so far:

Here is your history lesson on the Noobstown server

Version 0

Noobstown began in Minecraft Alpha when Long_Cat, Fatnoob and Waterworth began building on a flat land world, the town was very small and had around 5 plots we only had a player maximum of 10 people!

After awhile we decided that flat land worlds were a bad idea () lol the reason being that the whole world was made up of grass no ores!

Version 0.5

Our next world was an interesting fort type town with few buildings such as shops, barbers and a Inn. This world had NPC all over town we had guards, Archers, Yogscast NPC (Granny bacon, Old_Peculier, Israphel and much more) Our player maximum was increased to 17 we almost felt like a "big" server. This world ended badly when Fatnoob blew a huge hole in the world (Never install voxel box)

Version 1

Ah version one the begging of Beta, as many say this was the original version of Noobstown... well, they are sort of correct! in this version we had gained quite the popularity spike and we had to up our player count to 20. Version one was much like version 0.5 it was a fort and had shops around the town, there was an OP planet, Docks, Market, Theme park and Noobywood, this is where you could buy plots. The first town ever created was a small town called Adonia (Owned by rshuttle1337) This was much like the town "MorningWood" a compact village that was rather popular, then followed the town of Entrolla where a small community began to emerge, ran by the well known player Geoboy66. Interesting fact: The town Entrolla has been on every version after Version 1 - Even V4!

Version 1 had gave us some interesting characters that we still known today such as:

At the end of version one we upgraded our player maximum to 48

Version 2

Many of our current players joined in version two, the town that was based on lord of the rings minas tirith, this town took quite a long time to build as was crushed by a fault with Minecraft. This server was open about 1month before it died.

Version 2.5

Based on PVP was quite a mess but we had to try keep our server open for all to play on, this server only lasted two or three days. (Factions for the loose!)

Version 3

Version 3 was designed by Meshpet our ever so lovely operator that is missing in action! () the world was a pretty quick design and was quite a mess after the shock of version 2 we had to work to get a server online. This world was the begging of a very popular town Morningwood!

This server was wiped out by the Great flood, long live V3?

Version 4

Version 4 is our latest world that is built around the Great Noobstree. We have not had much luck with Minecraft in the past.. .but can version 4 be our very final version we can always stay on? we will have to wait and see.. lets hope for the best!
