so all skills and all money are gone or only the things on the banks of nations and towns?
As I said before we have made it our number one priority to save the money and skills, I can't know if they still work until everything is correctly set up.
why cant you just let me be sad! I worked hard for that money and then its gone I didnt even get the time to put it on my acc and all other people get to keep their money so its really unfair!
Nobody had time to sell or do anything the data centre basically robbed our server files I cant do anything about that.
I asked Matt to ask you to safe my town so I can use it in single player did you get that before you lost the data? and I still had an almost full chest with iron blocks 18 diamond or so and 3 double chests with dirt, 3 double chests with cobble and 1 double chest with sand 1 double chest with sandstone 1 normal chest with wooden planks, 1 normal chest with 5 full stacks of normal wood, 1 double chest with gravel, 3 double chests with pork, 2 double chests with apples, 3 golden apples, 3 double chests with bread, 1 normal chest full with cake, around 10 stacks of redstone. will I get those back? coz if I knew about the map thing I would have sold the sellable stuff first and I would have around 100-200K extra and will we get money for claiming the land 2?

Basically our data centre decided to not give us the data back for the server, I managed to keep the money and stats. The last 15hours or so I have been trying to contact them to ask for them back, they want me to pay to get the stuff back... I declined.
To clairify is the server up? if it is will there be scheudled down times for you and the staff to build more of Noobstown or anything else that needs attending to? Is the 1.8 server up yet?
The server will be up later for all to play, that's the 1.8 temporary vanilla server.
Due to complications with our current Data centre we are not able to retrieve version 4, So we are quickly pushing out our final version of Noobstown. The server should be done over the next few weeks, we are setting up a 1.8 vanilla server for anyone who wants to play on Noobstown while the main version is being created. We are going to be accepting builders to come and join us and New Operators over the next few weeks, again sorry for the complication we are trying hard to get things sorted.
Money & Stats should be safe and we are making that our number one priority, town owners will be refunded the price to buy a town again.
Ever wanted to promote your shop and have a prime location where you can get many potential customers? Well now you can!
The Market place is where you can host your own little stall, these are 100% free you will just have to ask for one. If you are apply for a free stall you must always keep your stalls stocked, if not we will have to remove them.
Shops at the docks cost 50,000 Nbz please contact Fatnoob if you wish to buy one, these shops are much bigger than stalls. The shops at the docks are house size.
The shops and stalls are where you can get rare items that are not on the /shop for low, low prices! So why not visit the Market Place or Docks via the teleports in the hub!
In another news if you wish to Auction you now have to join the auction channel by typing /ch auction
Unfortunately Minecraft.net is down, nothing yet has been released to say why the site is down. Servers cannot operate when Minecraft.net is completely shut down, hopefully the site will come back up soon.
In other news related to 1.8
I managed to set up a 1.8 server with Tyja and Waterworth (Vanilla) Everything seem to run fine there were no clear problems that the server was facing.
Gold and Iron ingots and ores should be raised back to there normal prices. (Around 150 for iron and 400 for gold) Instead of 6nz a peice... I mean, come on xD
I think with that things become too easy and its a knock on effect for Town price etc..

1.8 is expected to be released in the next few days. Do NOT upgrade if wish to continue playing online. We will upgrade to 1.8 as soon as the software we use is updated for 1.8 (which typically takes 2 to 7 days). We will make an announcement when its safe to update.
Noobstown will be re-made when the final version of Minecraft is released, this is because of the changes that are occurring to Minecraft worlds such as: Ravines, Rivers, Strongholds, NPC villages. As our world has already loaded out we cannot current have any of those new features, that's why we had to take this route.
Our final world will be a huge project and we want you as the long time players of Noobstown to help us build it, if you do not know about Schematics you should Google them!
Basically if you make a build and turn it into a Schematic we can plant that building into the world and use it. We want you as the players of our server to help shape the begging of the final ever version of Noobstown.
After the final release of our server all the old players that have stayed with us will earn the Veteran title, this will show you are a dedicated member of the Noobstown Community. VIP's that stay with us will be put into the Platinum category of super ultra epicness.
Our new server will be a huge town, you can go inside different houses in the town and buy materials it will be Medieval so get creative!
We are keeping some buildings from the current server such as the great Noobstree!
As you know already this is a BETA game and a BETA server, we cant stress enough how many problems Minecraft has but we want you to know we are trying our best to make Noobstown the most exciting and entertaining server to play on. We hope you understand about the new world that will occur when Minecraft is fully released, we are only doing this to make Minecraft and Noobstown the best experience possible. I have researched into many other servers and have spoken to the Owners they are all following this path with creating a new world on the final version of Minecraft....
Minecraft is supposedly coming out of beta on the 11/11/2011 our new server release will be around Christmas time!
Just a weekly update, I have managed to fix Towny everything should work correctly now. Automated donations are coming soon we are just waiting for the developer to add some features that will work well with Noobstown. Our brand new Hub is nearly ready with around 15 teleport spots for towns!
Our big server update will be next month after this months payment runs out then I can buy a better server, so that will happen next month along with Update 4.0. Hopefully by then 1.8 is release and we can have our new worlds.
We are still waiting on our Live help system on the website and a new ticket system will be coming to Noobstown, you will be able to leave tickets to moderators for any type of problem, a Moderator will then answer the ticket and help you.
Next month we are hoping to hire 2-3 more Operators to the team get your applications in now or upgrade them, we will be looking through them soon.
On another note, people of Noobscraft will be or have started back at school. From all of the staff members we wish you the very best in this school year, work hard!
Many people are unsure what is going to happen when 1.8 is released, all I can say is our main world will hopefully stay the same. Of course I realize people want to explore new areas like ravines, rivers, npc villages and Strongholds so we are adding two new worlds that will be generated after 1.8 is released. To teleport to these worlds you will have to go to the Hub.
One of these worlds will be a Wilderness and the Other will be a adventure/RPG world, that we can hopefully hold events in.
I'd also like to mention that next month we are getting major upgrade to the server this will hopefully kill of any lag on the serve. Up from 8gig to 24 gig.
We are also planning on bringing back the Nether at some stage since Notch is making the Nether more interesting, that of course will be awesome.
