Tried donating but once again paypal dont work with ma maestro card this is begining to annoy me the card is actually useless but i'll see if i can get myy dads card and use it instead and pay him back in cash.

Thats because the server is outdated, meaning we are running Minecraft version 1.5_01 as version 1.6_6 is extremely buggy and crashes Multiplayer. There is a downgrade guide on the forum under Server announcements.

I'm a trained audio engineer and play guitar. Lately I've been too busy with Minecraft to play guitar, not sure I should be proud or upset about that...
I've been playing Minecraft since Alpha and realized a few days ago when I was wandering my lonely single player castles that I'd never played online before. This is the first server I've ever logged into and I'm already impressed! It's nice to play this kind of a game with some social contact.
im getting tired of people who just join the server not having respect for the people that help all of us. i think that if they dont respect them then they dont need to be playing cause they just proved they cant respect anyone on the server.
Well, there is already a rule for that... But it says respect all players. I dont see the point in this. You ought to respect every single person here, with the same amount.
I'm sick and tired of this server effing up all the time, remember the server wipe? Yeah, I lost 220k of HARD EARNED money, and now even more BS is getting thrown at us.

:dwarf: Fixing the currency bugs, sorting the shop [goldblock] out and preparing plugins for 1.6. Bukkit are working hard to release 1.6, should be released some time this week. :poptart:

Most of the issues on the server are from Bukkit or plugins. Complain at them
The forum has been moved to a new server after some issues which caused site downtime for a few hours on the last one. (Many of you may have noticed this, sorry but at least it is back up now.) Obviously you are able to see the site however this may not be true for all users yet, as their own computer's cache will need to update. (It shouldn't take long though!)
Due to this sudden change there may be a few errors around the site, but these will be sorted in the next few days!
There will also be a new theme coming to the forum in the next few days, for now you will have to put with the default one (sorry). Plus I will be updating the forum boards into new categories etc. to make using this forum more pleasant and easier!

When you wish to update to 1.6 simply load minecraft up don't login click options and then force update. Login and you'll be on 1.6, bare in mind the server is running 1.5 at the moment.
I would just like to inform you all with a weekly update, this helps everyone know what is going on with the server. I have received many personal messages this week about the server, the server is currently running version 1.5. I know you all want to play 1.6 and myself included, its just not possible to update at this time. Why? you may ask, well we run the server off something called Bukkit, bukkit supplies all the plugins. We can't update until Bukkit released a stable build, once bukkit updates I will upgrade the server to 1.6 instantly.
Changes to Noobstown in 1.6
Town prices are rising, upkeep and price per town block. This is due to the rapid increase in towns, the price is obviously too low. Noobstown will also be reducing the amount of items in the shop and the prices. Trading will be implemented on the update, this means you will be able to trade items between players. Operators will now be able to answer tickets with the new upcoming ticket system, simply send a ticket directly to an operator. When an Operator logs in they will be able to check the tickets and reply to them as soon as possible. We may also make the nether a PVP only zone.
Teleportation Hub:
We are also adding new rules to the Teleportation Hub, towns that have at least 10 residents are allowed a portal, this will rise when the server popularity increases. Inactive towns will have there teleport removed.
I am deeply sorry that some of our players are unable to downgrade, I have made a short tutorial on how to downgrade. I do hope this helps most of you guys and that you can login and enjoy Noobstown.
I cannot stress enough that we are trying our best to get on a 1.6 stable version.

As some of you may know many users on Noobstown have found I bug with the shop, as of tonight this bug will be fixed and there will be changes to the shop.
For starters, It is too easy to earn money. I am adding less items to the shop and the buy price will be higher than the sell price, this means only rich players that want to be lazy can buy everything from the shop. This also creates I use for trading, I will be adding a trading plugin so users can trade between each other, this makes it more fun, you can run your own shops at your own prices.
