Noobstown v.4 is gone, when Joe tried moving it over to a new server, something went horribly wrong and v.4 was no longer retrievable.
They wanted money to try and get it back, but Joe declined, and I agree with his decision. So he is now moving full speed ahead on Noobstown v.5 There are multiple forum posts on the topic, i subject you go and take a look at them to get up to date.

I think we should have a dedicated Auction chat for that reason. /ch auction will take you to an auction chat room where only you and the other people will here each others auctions, bids, etc.
I do sometimes find someone has put up item x and priced reasonably high, but them they set the duration for a really long time in hopes of raising a lot of money for the auction, but in reality it just sits there stale.
When I auction I bid valuables, gold, diamonds, etc. At half and below there regular value and sometimes for free for only 60 seconds at max.
I'm not sure HeroChat is able to only show the auction bidding information at this time.

Just to continue clarifying, Minecraft 1.8 was not "leaked" per-say it is a pre-release version, and that the distribution was authorized by Jeb.If you do download this, Notch said that he is ok with it, but make sure you download it form the reccomended "URL we are hosting". Aswell don't spam him with " Zomg Notch this is borkenz FIZ IT FIX IT". Along if you do encounter bugs please report them at the following address The approved by Notch and Jeb 1.8 Hosting URL along with information regarding the pre-release of 1.8 www.minecraftforum.net/topic/611324-regarding-18-pre-release

I never plummeted to my death every time I had to go to entrolla, before /town spawn was fixed, I had to do /spawn and jump over the fence to the hill adjacent to spawn, then jump down to the Entrolla road.
If I am assuming correctly,(I don't know how the server permissions are set up,) spectators have no permissions on the server, and to use the portals you have to have the permission creativegates.use: With out that perm, you can't use portals

Yes, but In. V.1, Taloria was one of the original towns in Noobstown, I remember it quite well, I bought the first Plot back in the day. There is a difference form people making new towns, and towns returning.

lol dylan you make a backup for those ofcours XD and I have deleted my .minecraft folder like hundred times by now XD
Yea, sorry, I help a lot of people with computer Issues and it's instinct to make people take the safe route, I also have to assume that the people I help have no back up whatsoever. You see the people complain on the MC Fourums about "An update broke there saves and they didn't have a back up...."

Deleting your .minecaft folder i think is overkill, just try to do a force update by clicking options at the minecraft login screen and click force update, and that should fix your problem, this will redownload a fresh mine craft and remove any mods (if any) that might be the problem, deleting your .minecraft will delete all of your saves, texture packs, and everything related to minecraft.

I have unfortaunaly been on the server twice when there were less than 5 people, and once where I was the only person on the server I agree with mass advertising, I would pitch in some aswell. September 3 will be my 5th month at Noobstown, I will be on the server that day having a great time, I hope a lot of people that were on V1 come and celebrate with me, Well if you want to.

The spectator category is a wonderfull idea It will keep the safety of a white list, but with out one, and give new players sort of a "try before you register" witch is a good idea. You never let us down foob

I myself am using the Jolicraft texture pack, it is an amazing pack, it's 16x16 but it it is very well done so it looks a bit more than 16x16. It is done by an artist that goes by name Andréjolicouer witch is french for Andre Happy-Heart. I like that texture pack because it is well done, it doesn't make it all RPG and Zelda like (bleh), and is relatively simple for most Tp's You can find it at http://jolicraft.com/
