Other / Re: I want to ask a girl out
« on: 12 Sep 2012, 20:05:43 »
I like and live by the old cliche'  "If I only knew then what I know now".

Stuff to remember (these are based on my own opinions, but some of it is just plain ol' common sense):

1. Be yourself, don't pretend to be something you are not (yes you will hear this alot but it's VERY true).
2. Make her laugh.
3. Be considerate of her feelings at all times.
4. Listen to her  (don't just nod, really listen to what she's saying).
5. Be respectful, always (goes with #3).
6. Girls do not care if you are nervous, they are too.
7. If you decide you want to ask her out, be open with her and just ask out right.
8. Remember the small things.
9. Get to know her friends too. They are just as important to her.

The list goes on forever (yes, I missed alot) and trust me, this is good advice.

Noobstown General / Re: What is YOUR noobstown story?
« on: 12 Sep 2012, 19:38:28 »
I've been playing Minecraft for about 2 weeks now.  I joined Noobstown a little over a week ago, and this is my first time to play outside of single player.  At that time I had no idea that individual towns even existed.  After reading several forums and server reviews, I decided to settle down in Noobstown.  I feel that I made a great choice.  The support is great, and everyone is extremely friendly and honest.

I've played MMO's for roughly 10-12 years now  8) and have beta'd 100's of them (everything from AO to WoW).  At first I was hesitant to play Minecraft because of the throwback graphics and interface.  My nephew plays, and always talks about it so I decided to give it a shot.  Instantly the game felt vaguely familiar and reminiscent of 90's FPS which I love.  Needless to say, I'm addicted.

That is great! Just curious, but have you joined a town yet or what are your goals on your server so far?

Yes, I've been settled in Winterhold for a short while now, and find the town pretty nice.  The mayor and TA's are awesome (when anyone in the town is actually online).  I would like to find myself in a TA role as well as a builder role somewhere.  Right now, I've gotten my house (nice contemporary setup) completed and a massive underground multi-level farm, which keeps me busy when I'm not adventuring.  I've started running the 90210 seed on my own server this week, and love it so far.
