I personally think it works fine currently. If a user is temporarily leaving for whatever reason and they really want to, then they can make a topic in the "Other" board and inform other users about this. It really isn't that big an issue that it requires its own board.
Also if you want to specifically inform certain users about this you can use our PM and emailing services.

The links in the main site menu have been updated in preparation of the V5 update to Noobscraft. As part of the changes: - 'Donate' now links to the new donation page (which hasn't been released yet, so you just see the old one)
- 'Shop' has been added in preparation of the new V5 Points System (the shop itself hasn't been released yet, so you just see the donation topic)
- 'Unread' has been now added to the main menu
- 'Guides' has been removed as it was noticed this wasn't used much[/i]
- 'Community' has been re-added
- 'Live Map' has been moved to under 'Community'
- The 'Member List' has been renamed to 'Members'
- 'Members' has been moved to under 'Community'
It is very likely that over the next few days you will see a few more updates to the site as I prepare for the release sometime later this month.

when i first started playing on noobscraft it was alot of fun, with lots of helpful people. so i made it my permanent server. but for some reason now it wont let me connect to noobstown........ idk why but i want to play...
What part won't let you connect? The actual connection to Minecraft.net or the connection to the server? What is the error message you receive also?

joe, i am only putting in my own opinion here, but i do not really like the way that the server is going.
By that i mean that it is turning into an old server which i played on, me and Matt used ot play on (he played on NoobsBeard) it turned out to automated, it wasn't any fun after they made it. the Quests screwed us all over, we also lost our original spawns...
The whole thing won't be automated, it will still be just like the previous version of Noobscraft but with automation on membership and VIP.

As I explained in a post sometime ago this day was going to come...
From the 30th of October 2011 our system will be being updated as part of the update to the V5 site system. Due to this system update: from late on the 29th of October you will be unable to manually edit your Minecraft IGN on the site, whatever Minecraft username you set from 10pm BST on the 29th will be attached to your forum account permanently.
I therefore am informing you all to ensure that you have got the correct Minecraft account, with correct spelling attached (no spaces either side, etc.) to your site account. It is up to you to check, once the system converts you will not be able to change this name.
I cannot stress enough how important it is that you have your valid Minecraft username as your IGN. The whole V5 experience for you will not work otherwise.
How to set your IGN on the forum
Profile > Modify Profile > Forum Profile > IGN (Simply enter your in-game username in the box next to that) > Save

This post is just to clear a few things up about VIPs and Veterans...
Veterans are NOT always people who have been playing right from the start. They are old VIPs (from before V5). As you may or may not know the VIP system is changing in V5. If you don't know I will post somewhere explaining briefly the changes which are coming into place.
The VIP rank will be used for the 'new class' of VIPs once the V5 Donation system is released.

I belive the points are stored separatly, so a map reset wouldnt effect them... I dont know for sure so dont take my word on it
Points are stored completely separately to the actual Minecraft world. The Points system will all be based on the site, and will simply give you items/other things on the server. The only issue that there may be (not that a reset is likely at all) is that you will lose items etc that you have previously purchased. Therefore in the unlikely event that there is a serious rollback or a reset, the Points spent on items (that you lose due to the reset/rollback) will be reimbursed into your account allowing you to re-purchase any items lost.

Due to some issues with the system we were using for mobile payments; we have disabled them for now.
All those who donated using the mobile system while it was active should still receive their Points in V5.

Please be aware that the current server is only temporary, thus making all people apply now, only to reapply later may be annoying for both them and the staff.
Once the new V5 server is released a form of "application" will be reintroduced.

if I donate 20 again (I looked back and I donated 20 in total already)
will I get 2 times 35.000 points or more coz every time you will donate more the amount raises.
but it stops at 20 so how will it work when you donate more then 20?
Once the new system is introduced, the limit of how many Points you can have is theoretically endless. So two purchases of £20 each getting you 35k Points would leave you with 70k overall.
