This isn't something we normally do for issues caused by incorrectly set permissions. Permissions are our way of saying if things can or cannot be taken.
I have however spoken to you in-game about this and hopefully resolved your problem.

Loads of things have changed since you played years ago, and I suppose since the update with bunnies. It might be best to just throw yourself in at the deep end and try things out, and ask as you discover things you're not sure about. We only updated to 1.12 a few months ago after being on 1.8 for ages, so you're not that far behind us in the new features on Noobstown anyway. You can see a list of the more known Minecraft changes from 1.9-1.12 on the Minecraft Wiki: If you ever need any help in-game feel free to ask myself or just generally in chat as most people here are pretty helpful and will explain things if you need .

Noobween 2017 is here on Noobstown.com. As normal we've got candy dropping as you do things around the server! This year it's slightly different though, there are 24 different flavours of candy to collect and trade with! Simply play as you normally would and keep an eye out for the random candy drops! The candy can then be collected and traded in for rewards (including rare heads, money and a range of other random items) at /warp noobween. The selection of rewards available might be adjusted as the month goes on so keep checking to see if anything there has changed. This year there are certain candy that will only drop from doing specific things though, so be sure to try a number of different mcMMO skills and in different worlds to see what you can get . Later in the month once you've all had a chance to try things out I might give some tips on what things give you what flavours. There will be another Noobween Party near the end of the month too, so keep an eye out for a post about the date and time of that!

The Chunk of the Month contest returns!
October's Contest Each month you get the opportunity to submit a chunk you own to be reviewed in our contest, we're looking for creative, interesting and well-designed plots according to a monthly theme! You can find out about the previous winners at Noobs.town/cotm/. How this works: - Each month we'll make a post like this on the site and give a theme for that month.
- You then have the rest of the month to make design and build something in either the Wilderness OR the Town world according to the monthly theme, in a chunk you own.
- You then submit your chunk using /cotm submit while stood in that chunk. Then make a reply to the monthly post outlining your design, explain it a bit if you want to.
- At the end of the month (Early November this time) I will then go around all of the entries and judge which we deem to be the winner. Another post will then be made announcing the winner and all entries/prizes will be handed out.
It's very simple to take part, just use /cotm submit! A few rules: - Your build must be within 1 single Minecraft chunk (16x16), but height doesn't matter. If you're using Minecraft 1.10+ you can use F3+G to view the boundaries in yellow
! - You must own the land you're submitting your entry in, if it's in the Town world you must individually own the plot, and in the Wilderness you must own the land.
- You need to follow the theme.
- You need to actually build something, just submitting a simple few blocks to get the rewards won't count.
- You need to submit your design using /cotm submit before midnight on the last day of the month (UK time)! This deadline is automated so don't miss it.
- You need to leave your build up after the end of the month because we need chance to judge it!
The winner of each month will earn themselves: - A unique winner trophy for that month
- 100,000Nbz
- Your chunk showcased at Noobs.town/cotm/
- Your name forever listed in-game when doing /cotm contests
- 5 FREE Wilderness Chunks This is irrespective of if you built in the Town world!
Plus everyone who takes part will receive a participation prize and a free wilderness chunk (again irrespective of if you built in the Town world). Got any questions? Just ask them below in a reply or in-game! As for the theme for October; with Halloween at the end of the month, the theme is: Spooky! That's anything spooky !

Do you guys reset on the 9th midnight every month?
No, the resets tend to occur during the first full weekend of each month, but that's not guaranteed it's just a guide, and there is no specific time.

... is there a way to see how long the last time the chest shop been active?
Because some shops are outdated.
not sure if they still up.
Do you mean the old shop signs? Or do you just mean the last time a transaction took place on each sign? Or something else?

...It doesn't help anyone, the consumer has to pay me more for something as the seller puts their prices up just so after the 5% tax they still make enough to have a profit compared to selling to /shop what has no taxes. Also if the seller has to put their prices up it starts getting hard to undercut other prices so the seller gets business.
It's a tax that everyone has to pay for transactions through the chest shops, so there shouldn't be any differences to the competition. If you want to undercut someone that's your choice, but both you and them are paying the same 5% tax so it's not like that makes it unfair. Everyone has to pay that tax equally so it just gets absorbed into the pricing that people see, and you should take it into account when putting an amount on the sign. In the transactions, the amount they see on the sign is what the receiver gets, it doesn't directly change it for them, in all cases the seller pays the tax out of the money they would have made, it's your choice to sell knowing what the tax amount is. There is no tax for /shop because this is a sale to the server, not to another player. If you'd make more money selling to /shop then you too can do that just like anyone else. It's effectively a convenience fee for performing direct player to player trades even when you're not online. Or if you want to; you could consider that there is also a 5% tax on /shop but it simply is already taken into account, and the amount listed is after tax . The consumer has to pay more and the seller may lose customers that doesn't seem to help anyone in my eyes...
The consumer may pay more, but that's not directly a big issue because it's an even increase for all sales of all items to all players (back to the point above about it being the same for everyone), it just makes the pricing of everything slightly higher on all transactions. Plus with the items listed on /shop there is effectively a minimum sale price set anyway so the pricing is almost always going to be more than that, forcing the consumer to pay more for those items anyway. Prices are ultimately determined by players, if you want to sell something where you make no money because of the tax then that's your choice, just like a real world business could do that to undercut competition. It would probably be an unwise/unsustainable thing to do though. Taking into account the tax is just something you have to do. ...I know it's to get nbz out of the economy but I'm sure you can find better ways to remove nbz out of the economy instead of making it hard for consumers and sellers...
For the reasons above I disagree that it makes it "hard" for everyone, it's a fair system that everyone who sells through chest shops has to pay and consider. The tax has been in the game for years, and everyone's pricing should already have taken this into account, it's not like it's a feature suddenly added that is going to dramatically change how people price their things. But if you can think of ideas of any better alternatives then I'd be open to hearing them.

New post area for build competition.
Seee my reply at: https://www.noobscraft.com/idea/build-world/. I'm all for doing the Chunk of the Month competition again, it simply needs people to participate. It was a competition for people to make things based in a single Minecraft chunk according to a theme. Maybe we'll give it a go again next month .

Last weekend, my best friend emmabear, and her family, took me in. They are super amazing and I'm so happy being here! ^_^
This is really cool that you met up and things are going well . ...been working on a part of my halloween costume, which I will also use for conventions and stuff. Been slowly painting these the last couple of days. They are skeleton legs, for my cosplay as sans from Undertale :p
They actually look great! Very impressed.

I remember this. It was there when I first started playing. I think a castle one. It would be awesome if it came back but my only advice would be not to make it themed, or open the theme to ideas.
As Powerage_ suggests it would become extremely difficult to judge between different builds if people didn't follow at least some sort of theme. Feel free to let me know about potential theme ideas though.

I'm already pretty sure that afkfishing is taboo enough, and I've been told it's pretty much okay as long as you're able to answer questions from staff, so what if I make it well established that the player afkfishing is me, while I'm doing something else? (No autoclickers being used, only ingame mechanics!)
Doing anything while you're actually away isn't really allowed, how could you be doing things if you're not even there? Anything which allows you to do anything while you're not really actively playing isn't allowed, including things that prevent you from being automatically kicked when you go inactive. So even if you announce that you're planning to do it, it's still not allowed as Powerage_ suggests.

The lottery doesn't actually have a specific draw time at the moment, it is just roughly 24 hours since the last draw took place, but because the server goes down temporarily for all sorts of reasons this might change over time.
I'm working on an update to the lottery system at the moment, since it's quite annoying to be unable to see winners, etc. at the moment, that's something that should be fixed in the future. But as part of that I will be updating things so that it always draws at a fixed time, which would allow you to determine when it is for you. Once that update happens I'll make an announcement on the site about it though.

...I was curious if it would be possible and if this gets enough support/likes if a building world could be added. It would be like wild but you gain land by playing instead of noobs. It would also be in creative and the items would not transfer to other worlds or be able to use ender chests or shulker boxes...
This has been a suggestion we've received a few times over the years, we currently have no plans to add in a creative world/server. As Citebafla suggests, Noobstown is a survival server, it's part of the game that you have to collect everything you want to build with. Plus as others have also said it may require considerable work/resources to implement with the way things are at the moment, something that I'm not sure would be worth it to go against the current survival side of things anyway. If you look at some of the existing ridiculously cool things that other players have managed to achieve on the server enough though it's survival I'm sure you'd be able to do the same if you put enough time into it; including massive redstone machines and huge builds.
