ok, i get the money part, what about doing nbz for vip upgrade ingame. Like 1.5 million nbz for vip, and 3mil nbz for vip+, also do this for spawners and such. Like the /shop to sell things, do a /donate type thingy where you use ingame money for things to buy
There are a few reasons why this isn't happening or planned: - It is my plan to allow certain VIP features to be purchased in a paid store (similar to the old Donations) if we introduce one again in the future.
- I don't want to horribly reduce the value of such things for those who have already paid their hard earned money for it. In-game money is effectively endless and I don't want people who have paid out of their own pocket to feel like they've been had because they can now obtain the same thing without paying.
- As Foob used to sell that for real money I didn't want to cause any confusion for Mojang in terms of what is and isn't obtainable through payment. Sadly Mojang aren't entirely open about what is and isn't allowed for sale; I previously contacted them about whether we could now sell the same things in-game and wasn't given a useful response, this made me feel uncomfortable about whether or not we would be following their guidelines.
I understand you might want to purchase it or upgrade but it's just not an option right now. I am planning to bring back a store as I suggested but again it won't be completely the same as the old one as that's just not allowed anymore. It's just taking me time to sort things out completely.

After the Wilds update it seems there are some problems with chest shops. ...
Thanks for letting me know, I will look into this issue now. Not entirely sure of the cause, but I'll definitely look into it and report back once I've sorted or found the problem.

I dont know where to put this, and I do not even know whats happening, Maybe I missed it. Where is the donate area. how is it possible to go from VIP to VIP+ I truly think that if you are not able to get VIP+ then at lease make it so the VIP'S have VIP+ status. I know that is seem unfair to the VIP+ people, but the VIP people have no way of upgrading to it... can someone please let us know whats going on...
As Adam suggested the previous donation options aren't available anymore. When Foob stepped down late last year I decided I'd take the donation options down for the now. This is for several reasons which I've outlined a few times in other posts but I'll do so again here: - I can currently afford to pay for the server costs out of my own pocket, it's a project I do for fun; I'm not in it to make money so it's not a big issue spending a bit each month to run things.
- A few years ago Mojang decided they'd suddenly change the rules in terms of what monetisation is allowed. Until Foob left last year he hadn't adjusted any of the items he was selling in relation to that change. I obviously don't want to break their rules, so until a suitable compromise is worked out I'll try not to sell anything which might be a breach of their rules.
- Due to the way taxes work in the UK any money given to the running of Noobstown through a store of some kind would be classed as a personal income for me. As I currently have a job unrelated to my role at Noobstown, I would have to pay taxes on that money taking into account all of the work I do elsewhere, etc. until recently this would have been quite a hassle because of the way that personal income taxes are declared here. When Foob stepped down earlier last year I decided it wasn't worth that hassle at the time.
On a positive note though; over the Christmas break I actually worked on steps towards bringing back a store though. There will be several changes both to pricing and what is available, but hopefully sometime in the future you'll be able to pay for things again. There will be an update post obviously explaining the new store once it's ready, but for now as Adam has suggested it's not possible.

That has now been sorted too, sorry about that.

I just want to quickly make a post to apologise to anyone who missed out on receiving any emails from the site over the last few weeks. A few issues meant that a number of emails which were queued to be sent were actually never sent, this includes: any password resets, account activation emails, personal message emails, notifications etc. The overall issue which meant that they weren't being sent has now been resolved, so if you were waiting for an email please try again now and you should get it now! Included in the emails which weren't sent was one for each of you wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year; I'm sorry you likely never got this but I hope everyone had a great time! - ItsLawrence

I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas from myself and the rest of the Noobstown team! I hope you all enjoy the holiday season, and that you get to spend some time with your family and loved ones doing something you enjoy. 2016 has been a big year of change for Noobstown and hopefully we can look forward to further improvements coming in 2017! To celebrate the Christmas and New Year it'll be double mcMMO XP on Noobstown.com all week now and next from tonight right up until 2017! Remember you can still claim the Noobmas Advent gifts each day up to and including the 25th itself too! Plus there's the new Wilderness features to explore! We'll see you in the New Year!

Wilderness Menus are finally here! The update to the Wilderness I've been working on for a few months is now available on the server. This introduces a era for Noobstown; the ability to manage your things through simple to use menus over typing dozens of commands; if the Wilderness menus are liked then I'll probably expand it out to other areas such as mcMMO and Towns, etc. There's more than just those changes to the commands in this update though. You can see some clips of things at https://www.noobscraft.com/server/wilderness-changes-in-the-works/. I've hopefully improved lots of different features: Commands- Almost all commands will now work using the quick menus. Simply clicking around in the menus should allow you to do most things. All the old commands will still work doing the actions they did before, but with menus to make it easier hopefully.
- You can now just do /wild to view an overview of all of your Wilderness stuff, and to quickly access most of the other menus! The help has moved over to /wild help.
- There is no longer the need to use commands such as /wild chunks list and /wild builders list, etc. simply doing /wild chunks and /wild builders now automatically bring up the lists. If you need to get the commands as before, simply use /wild ... help.
- Introduced short alias commands for /wild chunk info so you can now just use /wild info. Similarly you can also just do /wild highlight to highlight the current chunk.
- You can now easily find the 'number' of your chunk for use in /wild home [number], simply do /wild info when stood in a chunk and it will tell you the number.
- Friends are now determined independently, meaning just because you add someone as a friend it doesn't mean they have to add you. This means you can now remove your Wilderness Friends even if they're not online. To take advantage of the friend features you must both have added each other though.
- Using the new /wild chunks list you can now manage each chunk even if you're not stood in it!
- Using the updated /wild map you can now buy land when you're not even stood in it.
- Confirming is now done in a menu, there is no need to use extra commands for it now.
- Added new command /wild chunk icon (accessed by clicking the icon in the chunk details screen. This allows you to change the chunk icon in the lists, map, etc.
- Help commands should now give a little more information and can be accessed for the main command options simply by adding "help" to the end; such as /wild builders help.
Pricing- The price for each chunk has been dramatically reduced. You can now also work out how much you're likely to be paying using this simple formula:
(Number of existing chunks - 20) * 500 = Next chunk price - Reduced the minimum price of a single chunk down from 1,000Nbz to just 500Nbz.
- Reduced the maximum price of a single chunk to just 100,000Nbz.
- The disconnection fee has been reduced from 50,000Nbz and 500,000Nbz to just 30k and 100,000Nbz.
- The transfer fee has been reduced from 50,000Nbz to just 5,000Nbz per chunk.
- You can now buy 3 separated areas without paying any separation fee at all.
- The lower pricing for separations now lasts for 10 separates compared to the 7 previously.
Land- New chunk borders now have a torch every few blocks.
- New chunk borders now automatically clear the borders in other chunks you own for the connecting sides.
- Borders now ignore a number of extra blocks so they should no longer spawn on top of trees, etc.
- When a chunk is regenerating you can now stand inside it. Be aware of the blocks as they reset though!
- Adjusted the fireworks which shoot up when you buy a new chunk.
General- Removed all teleport delay.
- Removed the horribly annoying warning preventing you from placing blocks against the edge of your land. The prevention with the message "You can't place blocks against land you don't have access to!" is no longer used, place blocks all you want against that land!
- Increased your Wilderness Builders limit up from 25 to 45!
- Increased your Wilderness Organisers limit from 25 to 45!
- Increased your Wilderness Friends limit up from just 6 all the way to 45!
- Added the ability to immediately/quickly run Wilderness commands simply by clicking on them from the [Wild] messages in the chat.
- Re-coloured and reworded a lot of the messages shown when you do things.
- Plus general minimal bug fixes.
As I said above, some videos of some of these features can be viewed at https://www.noobscraft.com/server/wilderness-changes-in-the-works/, but to really experience how easy some things are now you're best of giving things a go. As always if you notice any bugs please immediately let me know. Plus I am definitely open to feedback on these changes, the menus is a big change in how you do things on Noobstown so if you like or dislike it please let me know. I hope you enjoy this change just in time for Christmas too! .

... I'd love to see the time to the next free chunk added to the output for /wild free, if it's available. Right now one has to to the URL to find that out. It'd be nice not to have the number and time 'till in different places.
When I make the above changes in relation to merging the server and site technical information for the Wilderness then this will definitely become possible. At the moment it's not possible because the site manages all of the free timings, but this information will be moved over all to the server eventually and therefore make this possible, and will be added when that happens.

I've been talking about it a lot recently, but I've been hard working on some big changes to how commands will be used in the Wilderness hopefully to make it much much easier to make use of all of the features that the system has to offer, and to allow for you to get going with things without a massive guide of commands. I promised I'd post some previews of some of the changes so this post is just going to be a few videos of the coming features. I realise that the videos below are likely quite small, but you can click the expand button in the bottom right of them to make them bigger! Things aren't completely done yet so there might be changes to what you see, and I'm definitely open to feedback too. There's more changing than just what I'm showing in these videos, I've listed a few things to note about each video but a full change log will be posted once the changes are available on the server, which I'm really working forward for it to be before Christmas . You might see a few of the changes in the video which aren't specifically highlighted by my mouse wiggling, if you've got any questions please feel free to ask them. Changes to the Wilderness Chunk ListIn the video: - New chunks list preview
- No need to use /wild chunks list anymore, just use /wild chunks will do the job
- Ability to manage aspects of any of your chunks even if you're not stood inside them at the time
- Ability to mark specific chunks using a certain block in the list to quickly identify them
- Quick view of the options in the individual chunk menu
- Ability to quickly teleport to chunks without using the home command
Changes to the individual Chunk commandsIn the video: - New individual chunk menu, replacing /wild chunk info
- No need to use /wild chunk info anymore, just using /wild chunk will do it
- Ability to quickly see and then toggle all aspects of the chunk
- Ability to quickly sell the chunk
- Quick view of the new help list The text it shows in chat will be adjusted before release
- Ability to quickly find out the 'number' of your Wilderness chunks for the home command
Changes to buying new Wilderness LandIn the video: - No need to use the confirm command anymore, it's all done with the one command
- No need to type out the long borderless command anymore, it's now all part of the one command
- Chunk pricing has been dramatically reduced
- Disconnected/separated land extra fees are much lower now, and are clearly outlined when purchasing
- Chunk borders now include torches every few blocks automatically
- Chunks purchased directly next to other chunks which have slabs at the highest block now don't have borders on the connecting sides, and they'll remove the borders from the other connected chunks too
- The border slabs now nicely go under trees (and several other blocks too) so no more having to climb trees to find them
Changes to Wilderness FriendsIn the video: - New friends list menu, quickly listing all of your friends
- Increased Wilderness friends limit
- No need to type out /wild friends list just using /wild friends does the same thing
- Ability to quickly add in friends from the list of online players just by clicking
- Ability to remove your Wilderness friends irrespective of if they're online or not!
Wilderness Builder and Organiser options also work in a similar way to the new friends menu. That's all the previews for now, I'm working on the final parts of it now and any final fixes etc., but all going to my new revised plan it will hopefully be ready before Christmas . As I said above if you've got any questions or feedback I'm open to hearing it. This is a big change to how you'll do things so I am definitely willing to listen to your suggestions and hear about anything you think might not be as nice to use. Just to be clear none of these changes are actually live on Noobstown yet, they're all being worked on ready for release soon; there will obviously be a post on the site once it's actually live on the server.

Just a small update to let you know that on top of the daily advent gifts you can now find the Holiday Crackers as you're mining, digging, etc. around the server! They're not that common, but will hopefully be a nice extra surprise! We've also moved to a more snowy/Noobmasy version of the site ready for the 25th! Everyone's got their Noobmas Hats on hopefully .

Great thanks to everyone who voted last month. We're very grateful for everyone who voted and remember every single vote gets you 2,500Nbz straight away, plus enters you into this competition. The Top Voters for November 2016 were as follows: They've all won themselves the money prizes plus eboniics has earned the rare head for being the top voter. Those with + amounts next to their name have earned the bonuses for being in the last months in a row too! The base prizes are as follows: Rank 1 - 100,000Nbz Rank 2 - 80,000Nbz Rank 3 - 60,000Nbz Rank 4 - 50,000Nbz Rank 5 - 40,000Nbz Rank 6 - 30,000Nbz Rank 7 - 25,000Nbz Rank 8 - 20,000Nbz Rank 9 - 15,000Nbz Rank 10 - 10,000Nbz If any of those in the top 10 list make it into next month's list too they'll earn a bonus 10,000Nbz on top of the prize for their rank too for each consecutive month they've been in the top 10 for! (So those with +10k this month could get a bonus 20k next month , 20k get 30k, etc., and the rest still +10k if they keep in the top 10!) For more information about this read this post. Actually; I see that search is included in a newer version: *auction-house-1-7-1-11. If that's the plugin you guys are using (it looks 100% the same at least) then perhaps an update will include search, woot woot.
If that's the case I will definitely look into it in the coming weeks. It might be unsuitable to use at the moment since we're still running 1.8; but if it's a new feature they've added then we'll definitely introduce it down the line.

Are you hinting at a couple of obvious commands being togglable through a /wild menu (gui) ?
Yes, lots of the commands will work in a hopefully stupidly simple menu, you can find an example of this at https://www.noobscraft.com/server/recap-of-october-2016/. Later this weekend/early next week I'll be posting some more previews as it's very near the release of this update. I was originally planning for late November but it will hopefully be soon now. There will also be extra help commands introduced too, hopefully things will become really simple, but if not I'll be open to feedback/improvements once you've had a chance to review the changes.

Starting from the (midnight tonight) 1st of December we'll be continuing our annual tradition of the daily rewards and advent countdown to Christmas (25th). Each day simply go to the chests at /warp noobmas (right in front of spawn), and click to open and claim the daily reward. Each day a new box will open at midnight GMT (UK time) with different rewards, with the rewards hopefully getting better and better as we get closer and closer to Christmas, including an extra special reward for collecting it during Christmas day! You need to make sure you open each box on the day it's related to otherwise you'll miss out though! There's a countdown timer on each box so you know how long until it will open! We'll also be starting with more fun Noobmas themed activities ( including new Holiday Cracker drops) in just over a week too, so keep an eye out for that too! Plus remember that December's Chunk of the Month competition will begin starting from the 1st!

Another quick post to let you know that the final part of November's "Fall Quest" is available now at /warp theme2. You can also do part 1 at /warp theme. Remember it's /kit theme to get the items to begin. Thanks again to WarriorBen for organising the quests this month.

October's contest for the theme of Halloween is of course now over, and I've been through the entries, once again lots of great entries. The winner for October's contest is: rueyeet. You see see the design at Noobscraft.com/cotm/ and it's in the screenshot below. Thank-you to everyone who took part in last month's contest...participation awards and prizes for the month including those for taking part will be given out soon.
December's Contest Each month you get the opportunity to submit a chunk you own to be reviewed in our contest, we're looking for creative, interesting and well-designed plots according to a monthly theme! Since we're so far into November already we're going to skip this month and give you the opportunity to get started on December's builds early. You can find out about the previous winners at Noobs.town/cotm/. How this works: - Each month we'll make a post like this on the site and give a theme for that month.
- You then have the rest of the month to make design and build something in either the Wilderness OR the Town world according to the monthly theme, in a chunk you own.
- You then submit your chunk using /cotm submit while stood in that chunk. Because we're early this month you'll need to wait until at least the 1st of December before submitting this time! Then make a reply to the monthly post outlining your design, explain it a bit if you want to.
- At the end of the month (Early January for this time) I (and possibly other members of the staff team) will then go around all of the entries and judge which we deem to be the winner. Another post will then be made announcing the winner and all entries/prizes will be handed out.
It's very simple to take part, just use /cotm submit! A few rules: - Your build must be within 1 single Minecraft chunk (16x16), but height doesn't matter. If you're using Minecraft 1.10+ you can use F3+G to view the boundaries in yellow
! - You must own the land you're submitting your entry in, if it's in the Town world you must individually own the plot, and in the Wilderness you must own the land.
- You need to follow the theme.
- You need to actually build something, just submitting a simple few blocks to get the rewards won't count.
- You need to submit your design using /cotm submit before midnight on the last day of the month (UK time) (again that will be the end of December)! This deadline is automated so don't miss it.
- You need to leave your build up after the end of the month because we need chance to judge it!
The winner of each month will earn themselves: - A unique winner trophy for that month
- 100,000Nbz
- Your chunk showcased at Noobs.town/cotm/
- Your name forever listed in-game when doing /cotm contests
- 5 FREE Wilderness Chunks This is irrespective of if you built in the Town world!
Plus everyone who takes part will receive a participation prize and a free wilderness chunk (again irrespective of if you built in the Town world). Got any questions? Just ask them below in a reply or in-game! As for the theme for December; the theme is Winter! Remember you can't submit your entry until the 1st of December, but you can start building or planning from today .

Just a quick post to let you know that you can now connect to the server using the new Minecraft 1.11. We've not completely updated server things fully so you won't get access to the new server-side features yet, but you can at least play on the server even if you've upgrade, and will get access to any client side changes . This isn't our complete update to 1.11 (or 10 or 9) we will eventually be updating to give you all of those new features, but it's not ready just yet, once it's all done and we're ready to update we will do so, and I'll post explaining that at the time.

At least for me, but when I am in a wild chunk that I do not own I have limited access to the help command. Example: /wild unit and /wild unit info report back I do not own the chunk.
To help others it would be nice to be able to be *anywhere* and have at least access to the help side of the commands.
Coming hopefully by the end of November is a complete revamp of how the Wilderness commands work to hopefully make things much easier to manage and so there's less to remember. This includes introducing a simple /wild ... help option for most of the commands. I'll not create a separate work item for this suggestion at the moment because it might be sorted in terms of how you think it should work once this update comes out; but if you still think this could use more work once that's introduced please just say at the time.

When the market place is flooded with items, especially during events, it is harder to just find what you are looking for. There are normal coal and enchanted coal, finding the specific ones takes extra time.
My suggestion is to have the ability to click (on the bottom row) a paper or whatever and then in the chat type what you are looking for. Then the page updates listing only those items.
I don't see why something like this couldn't be introduced longer term sure. I've created a work item available at https://www.noobscraft.com/work/full/auction-search/. It's likely to not be a high priority unless lots of people want this soon though because there aren't really too many pages that you can't just easily look through at the moment; but longer term this sounds like a great idea.
