The trades using the Easter Reward Token eggs are now available from the villagers at /warp spawn. There are a range of coloured armour pieces available, plus a few novelty items; hopefully something you'll enjoy. It's unlikely you'll be able to afford everything so be selective about what you might want and save up/trade to get hopefully those things . There is a small chance more items might be added over the weekend too, so keep an eye out for those in case they happen. The trades will be available for at least this weekend and beyond for a few days so make the most of them while they're here! For the Easter weekend I've also doubled the rate at which eggs spawn around the world! From all of the Noobscraft team I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Easter!

Does this mean /wild home doesn't work anymore?
No, both /wild home and /home wild now do the same thing. /wild home will continue to work. It was requested that we make it so that people can just use /home for a range of their different things, including for their Wilderness land so that is what the change was, if you never want to use /home wild it will make literally no difference to you , all of the old commands will continue to work, this is just an alternative to it now.

The latest Noobstown Quest and theme, this time for Easter has been released! You can get started at /warp theme and get the beginning Tokens once per day using /kit theme! This month's story was created and designed by Hexidecima and the Town Staff of Silere Hills, so be sure to thank them for the story, rewards and great builds. The story revolves a lot more around searching their town so keep looking if you're lost; it's a hunt for the characters, they're all definitely there and shouldn't be too hard to find! As we normally do we've also got the server Easter Eggs randomly spawning for our annual Easter Egg Hunt around the Town and Wilderness worlds. They aren't dragon eggs like we've used in previous years, they're colourful Egg heads, the look like the Eggs in the picture above! If you find one of these eggs anywhere in the worlds simply click it (Obviously not an egg someone has already found and placed though , if you place these heads they'll be perfectly safe!) and you'll be given that Egg itself as well as a Token to trade in at spawn. You'll be able to use the Tokens for some rare items over the Easter weekend, but not until then; so be sure to keep hold of them and come on next weekend for that! There are lots of different Egg designs to collect, so keep an eye out for all of them! We'll also be hosting some Easter events over the next week or so keep an eye for announcements regarding them! I hope you enjoy what we have to offer for Easter this year! Happy Easter! I managed to go the whole Easter post without any Egg-cellent Egg related puns too!

Just a very minor update. It was requested just under a year ago that we introduce a way for people to use the /home command for getting to a range of different homes including those in the Wilderness and even Towns. We've now finally added an alias of /wild home [n] you can now use /home wild [n]. With the optional number obviously. As part of the new upgrade to the Town system that we're working on there may also be the introduction of a way to quickly access your plots, which if added will also have an alias using /home ... I'm aware that some of you might have manually set a /home wild previously and therefore it now won't work, if you have please just let me know and I'll adjust it so that uses a different name for you . I hope you enjoy this small change, if you have any feedback or ideas we'd love to hear them . The work item regarding this change can be found here.

I was thinking, when playing on Noobstown after a while it gets a little bland. So my idea is to add some things like RPG or Skyblock to the server which may raise Server players. My other idea is to merge MineApoc and NoobsTown into one server where players can enjoy the MineApoc feel added with the survival and building aspect of NoobsTown.
There are already plans to introduce a more apocalypse-type survival aspect area to Noobstown as what is being called 'Noobstown Dungeons'. If you have any specific questions about that please refer to https://www.noobscraft.com/support/mineapoc-information-thread/, it will hopefully be what you're looking for; we are however only a small team and things take time so you'll just have to wait for now , but it seems like what you're suggesting is already planned.

I've noticed that I lose money from not beeing online. I guess that's bc of some tax plugin. Just wondering what it is, and why we have it.
Noobstown as a server doesn't currently have any tax on players, as sir_Andrew99876 indicated it might be that your town or a town which has an embassy you own is charging a tax though, just check your own town and any you've got plots in. However also as sir_Andrew99876 said, it is most likely you're losing the money from a shop, check any chestshops you've made and make sure they're a sensible price, etc. If you're still experiencing issues after that let me know and I'll look into it for you .

UPDATE: The server is back online! Just to let you know that Noobstown.com is currently experiencing some unexpected downtime. The server is currently offline due to what appears to be a problem with the network that the physical machine is on. The team responsible for this are looking into the issue.I'm very sorry that we're down and have been for sometime today, but we'll be back up as soon as we can be. Updates will be posted/edited once we know more. The site should be up while these issues are on-going so if you need something to do feel free to make a post or two here . Again, sorry, we'll be back up again as soon as possible.

I've replied to your message.
Bumpety bump
You don't need to bump so soon . I personally am not able to provide 24/7 support for the server, if you don't get a response in a few days maybe bump, but less than 1 day isn't giving me enough time ; I do aim to get back to everyone as soon as possible, but it isn't always feasible to do it literally overnight. I have responded to your message now though .

I think you should make it apparent that we cannot change our names when joining this server, perhaps in the tutorial.
Me and my partner joined a few days, unaware that we could not change our names. Now we cannot get on for 30 days...
I have sent you a message on the site regarding this. If you could respond there it would be great. We do however have tips in-game which indicate that your name cannot change currently, I'm sorry this has become an issue though. Previously we had much more obvious tips which explained this but because of how obvious they are, they became annoying to the point where we toned them down. I can completely understand where you're coming from though, and it is something we'll look into improving. In general though; allowing those with a changed name to connect to the server is something we're working towards, it's just not possible yet.

... I think daylight savings happens March 13, so would that affect the time of double xp week?
This is unlikely to change the times, since the UK's daylight-savings doesn't happen until the 27th of March.
And also those who are concerned about possibly missing it, obviously we've not set a time yet; but the main party is likely to be at a similar time to those we've done previously, which tends to be later in the UK day (even after a lot of people's school/work finishes for the Friday in the US). A time will hopefully be given closer to it happening though , and obviously there is the week long double mcMMO XP. .

Just a short update post to say all of the temporary worlds have been reset for March now! Also just to let you know about the other quest/event related things we're doing this month: - The Noobentines Quests have all been released and they'll be available for a while longer, so be sure to complete them if you can get to part 1 using /warp love, part 3 using /warp love2 and the final part using /warp love3. They'll be removed later in the month, so be sure to make the most of them while they're available
. - The Top Voters of the Month competition started up again on the 1st, so be sure to vote for a chance to win. Click here for more information about it.
- Noobstown's 5th Birthday will be later this month, and we've got a party to celebrate it too! Click here for more information.
- The Easter Quests and events will be coming later this month (very soon they'll begin), so keep an eye out for them too!
I'm personally also working on the new Town System hopefully they'll be more information about this released soon .

just a quick suggestion, take me out of jail, i have been here for the last 2-3 months
Hey VanillaBlock, great to see you back. For the jail timer to count down you actually have to be online. This once I have removed your jail time though so if you connect you should be able to simply leave, if not just say and I'll sort it for you.

Just an update letting you all know we're bringing back the Top Voters of the Month competition each month again! ( Work item). Starting from next month (From the 1st of March) the Top 10 voters within each month will receive themselves one of the prizes below! For those who are new and aren't aware how this works, if you vote using your Minecraft name at noobs.town/pmc once each day your vote will be recorded (plus you'll earn a straight off 2,500Nbz just for it). At the end of the month we'll then calculate up how many votes you've made and put you up against every else's scores, the top 10 players (the ones who voted the most within the month) will then receive a bonus of the amounts below depending on your position in the list! If you tie with someone else we'll use a random number generator to pick who gets what spot.Rank 1 - 100,000Nbz Rank 2 - 80,000Nbz Rank 3 - 60,000Nbz Rank 4 - 50,000Nbz Rank 5 - 40,000Nbz Rank 6 - 30,000Nbz Rank 7 - 25,000Nbz Rank 8 - 20,000Nbz Rank 9 - 15,000Nbz Rank 10 - 10,000Nbz We've doubled the rewards since last time too! Plus we're going to introduce a new twist: if you can keep yourself in the top 10 list successively then we'll give you a bonus of 10,000Nbz for each successive month you stay in there! So if you are in the list one month, and you stay in it the next month you'll get 10,000Nbz on top of the other prize listed above; stay in another month you'll get an extra 20,000Nbz, etc.! And we'll be giving away a rare head item in-game for the player who is in the Rank 1 spot each month too! I hope you like these changes and the fact we've brought this back, your voting really helps so we want to reward you for it. We'll be posting the top voters each month hopefully within the first weekend after each month ends, note though the next month's competition will automatically begin again on the 1st even if we haven't posted about the last month's winners! This starts on Tuesday (1st of March) so we'll be posting the first lot of winners early April! If you have any questions or comments please let us know! Thanks, The Noobscraft Team!

I think that everyone on this server has been in a situation where you are so bored, that you leave the server and watch a YouTube video or movie instead. I'm sure that if we got a parkour, that wouldn't be a problem anymore. Of course there is someone on this server who doesn't like minecraft parkour, but it would still help those who like it.
This is perfectly the sort of thing you could make yourself (solving your possible boredom problem even more because you'll be able to spend time both building and then using it ). As others have said the one built in Dracomere as others have mentioned is popular and as you get further along it increases in general difficulty, try that out. It was built as part of server events by the server staff so feel free to enjoy that. If you need directions I'll be happy to help if you see me online.

I think it would be good if we could have the ability to hide from the live map, in case we're in a secret area that we do not want anyone seeing, or if something your making is under construction and you want it to be a surprise and things like that etc.
This isn't something we're likely to be allowing in the same way we don't allow you to hide the fact you're online. Obviously if it's something that enough people want then we might consider it but currently I think it's great the fact people can actively see where other people are. If you don't want someone on your land both in the Town and Wilderness worlds as the owner/town staff you have the right to ask someone to leave that land, if they refuse you can contact server staff who will be able to forcibly remove them, and punish if they return.

This is slightly off the topic of the post but I'll explain here anyway, if you want to make a full discussion about this please do so in a new topic. Just a general comment about this topic. I can't imagine a town being 'cheaper'. Not only for the unfair factor.
We had to pay 900k and 5500 per plot, and another million for resources and time building etc.
But another person can spend a small amount to skip those steps and end up with no effort, all the benefits AND the residents ..
If a town is abandoned the residents should be contacted ahead of time that they can move to a move active town, before the staff takes the town out of equation. This way we end up with active towns with active residents.
Why would I spend an average of 3 million to get a town, plots, resources, residents, build spawn, roads, grinders, outposts, etc. But someone else can just get it for free, for less than this 3 million average? Makes no sense to me.
There are 3 different sorts of way you can gain a town considered inactive: - You are existing Town staff and the Mayor is completely inactive, in which case we'll offer the mayor roll to them so they can continue running the town.
- You are a resident in a dying town which has no active staff, in which case we'll give you the mayor title to prevent the town from being deleted
- You are someone willing to invest in a town with no active staff and only a tiny number of inactive residents.
In option 3 the towns which are given to other players are only likely to be given out if they are up for deletion anyway (as in no active staff and very few inactive residents). Giving them to another player saves us the job of having to remove the buildings which are on the existing land; hence why we're willing to do it rather than force everyone to purchase new towns. And I have refused giving towns to certain players because they either didn't have enough money/activity or the towns they were interested in were too active. We'd obviously much rather give a dying town to a resident/staff member who will keep their own town running, but this isn't possible with the numbers of inactive players we have right now. You also need to consider when a town which is inactive is purchased then it becomes extremely difficult for them to expand further without putting in an enormous amount of work since they are likely to be limited by the lack of residents in the town. Plus they are likely to have existing structures which might not fit into their idea of what the town should be, which might involve further work. As part of the mayor agreement when creating towns you agree that: ...everything within the town is 'shared' and is not yours to keep...
That includes the land you purchase, it becomes the Town's when you invest in it. The reason we're giving them away is because we'd much rather have someone running a Town and making it active and putting effort into it than just letting it die, it is a last resort for if the town is pending complete removal anyway. If this is something you want to discuss further please feel free to do so, you can make another Topic about this, or PM me and I'll go into more specifics if you want.

I'm new to towns so don't judge me, please?!
Are there towns that have been abandoned that someone can take over? I see what looks like several towns on the town map via the website but they have no names marking them on the map. Just curious! (and wondering if it would be cheaper than 900k for a brand spankin new town)!
On the Town map all towns are labelled (even the inactive ones). As sir_Andrew suggested you are probably looking at the outposts which aren't labelled at all. As for inactive towns there are probably some available, if you're active enough and have enough in-game money to fund one, time to dedicate to running one and are interested please contact me in-game about it.
