If you could give some more specific examples of some enchants we might be able to consider it some more. We already have quite a number of special items and perks you can gain through mcMMO for example which might negate some of the want for custom enchanting so I was just wondering what exact ideas you had.

"Noobstown" soon?
Ah ha! I didn't mention the word soon on purpose so you can't blame me for thinking it might be "soon". Not likely to be very soon, but definitely on the plans now.

In version 5, I remember when there were trophies for active people that were given every year. Since this is the year of the heads, it would be nice to see heads as trophies for people who have been active all the years. I think a rank would be nice like year 1 head..2..3..4..5(maybe?). The old trophy was a portal block encased in gold blocks. A personal favorite head of mine is emobunny's head, maybe a pacman head?
This is something that could definitely be added; I do think it would be cool to be able to show off how long you've been on the server and to show your dedication. As you suggest a head of some sort would probably be the most useful because we could use them to actually indicate years and it would allow people to move it around unlike the previous portals. It is however something we'd need time to implement as a more robust system than previously since it takes a lot of time. I've added it to our ever increasing list of things to do! Look forward to it in the future!

... Well, whenever its nighttime and I'm near the town borders, stray skellies or ten shoot arrows at me ):
And I've nearly died from getting hit by them. Is there any way to stop these projectiles from going through? ...
I can understand the reasoning for wanting this, but because there is a really simple way for town staff to avoid this for their residents, I don't see a major need for it. If the town buys enough land around the edge of their town (or don't put popular areas right at the border) then the skeletons shooting wouldn't be an issue for you, because hopefully they would despawn before reaching you, or wouldn't be able to reach that distance. We are still a survival server and towns just offer some protection, they aren't there to make you invincible; there are many dangers within towns which can still hurt you. If you're not current town staff this might be something you could discuss with them regarding extending the border or possibly putting up a wall. Or if it's your own land you could do that yourself as long as your town allows it. Thanks for the suggestion though, even though I've put it down right now I am in the process of completely redeveloping the Town plugin to resolve existing bugs. This is something I will consider during the development, it's just not likely to be something we'll implement in this version of the Town plugin, sorry for now. If it is introduced then I'll try to remember to bring it up to you, but it would definitely be in the release information once it's ready if included.

Thanks Larry I might start one in a few months but I heard I needed permission to record your server
Not at all, if you want to record feel free. It might be nice to mention it to existing people who are online before you do so; but you are free to record as you want. If you do end up publishing any recorded content it would be nice if you could refer/link people back to our server too though.

...i am curious about a new rank, the YouTuber rank or something, I wonder. ...
As others have suggested being a "YouTuber" is possible for everyone and as such we'd have to introduce requirements possibly for minimum views or subscribers to determine who would be entitled to such a rank. That would likely leave to alienation of those who aren't able to reach those amounts, not something we want to do. At this time as far as I'm aware no one who plays on Noobstown is popular enough to warrant such a rank; if you know of anyone who is then please let me know and we can look into something though. But otherwise for now this isn't going to happen. Thanks for putting forward an idea though; if you have any others please just post them like you did this one.

Quick replies? You mean /r or...?
I assume he is referring to the box at the bottom of site topics which allows you to enter a reply without having to go to a different page. (Scroll down a bit and you'll see it ) It was already available to everyone through your site look and layout settings I just updated it so everyone would see it by default now rather than it have to be enabled, so some of you might have already been using it which is why it was never announced. Glad you noticed it though; a very useful feature

A quick update post about things going on in Noobstown right now, and looking into the future generally... WorldsWe've reset the Mining World, the Nether and the End for January! Coming Soon...We have lots of great plans for this next year, and we look forward to showing them off as they come (things do take time to make so it won't all be happening overnight ). There will be some features coming really soon (that's actually soon, not a normal "Noobstown really soon" ) allowing you to decide the plans for what we should be focusing on. Exact details of that will all be explained when it's released. Theme of the MonthThis month we don't really have an exact theme as such, but we'll be continuing on from last month with a Winter theme; there will be some unscheduled events over this month so be sure to be online to get a chance to take part and the quests from Noobmas will be around a bit longer. We'll go back to a proper theme in February!

Just like we did last year we've compiled some possibly interesting facts from the past year of Noobstown and the Noobscraft community. So how about your rules when people that use multiple accounts get banned on one account. Are you finally gonna ban the others as well, or still allow them to circumvent a ban this way?
As others have explained; in most cases we treat each account as its own entity and as such when a bad action is made on one account then we'll punish that account only. There are some cases when we'll act on all accounts under an IP or another identifier but they're much less common (an example is the change which I explained in the first post of this topic).

There may be a way to do this already, and that i would not know of, so correct me if I'm wrong, but say i have 4 messages and want to keep one, i think id be nice to be able to clear the 3 i don't want while keeping the one i want, instead of being forced to clear em all at once like it is now. This way if someone send me a mail about a future i want to save i have a nice reminder but don't have to see all of the other messages i get that i don't want.
As far as I'm aware there isn't a way to do what you're suggesting, we also don't directly develop the plugin which includes /mail and as such couldn't easily add this without re-working it completely. (Something which is planned but not at all a high priority.) One (possibly annoying) way to get around your issue would be to write down the mail which you want to keep, either in real life or by a screenshot of the chat or even in a book in-game? I'm assuming the reason you might want to keep it is incase it includes coordinates or something; those ideas might solve that? I do like the idea and it will come eventually but isn't a high priority, that's for suggesting it. or a way to retrieve accidentally cleared mail. I've done that on a few occasions, typed /mail clear instead of /mail read and miss those messages that I had.
Similar to the main suggestion of the topic and my response to that: during the rework it might include a confirmation message which obviously should solve this issue. This won't be added for quite sometime though. For now my suggestion would be check what you're command is before you issue it , sorry not that helpful.

Sorry for the late response, I'm just working through recent suggestions in bulk now. ...Please, consider making it rain less often. It seems like it rains all the time!...
We haven't adjusted how often or not it rains on the server, that's just how often/long it randomly rains for in Minecraft. We don't really want to adjust things when there isn't a need for it, I'd love to hear other opinions on this though. ...We should have a Princess Bride theme month. It might sound cheesy, but I think it would be awesomely fun...
As I tried explaining in a different suggestion we've tried so far to make the themes as general on topics as possible so that everyone (even those who might not have specific knowledge on a topic) can take part. Princess Bride is a very specific topic (I've just Googled what it actually is since I'd not heard of it ) and obviously there are general themes from within that which might be able to become a monthly theme themselves, possibly with quests that could be associated to Princess Bridge's plot or similar. So if you've got any ideas for how to generalise it slightly more I'd love to hear them. I will however still try to bring this up when we're next planning out the themed months. Thanks for the idea.

Sorry for the really late response, I'm just working through all of recent the suggestions now. a doctor who month would be great
We're trying to make the themes as generalised as possible to ensure that everyone can take part even if they've not heard of the specifics required for the general theme (items and quests might be more specific though). As such I'm not sure whether a Doctor Who month would work in that sense, I will however bring this theme up when we're next planning out the themes. Thanks for the suggestion.

So here is my little suggestion/rant about vipshop , why call it vipshop if only vip+'s can use it? Like this makes it very confusing, so I was just wondering if like you guys could like change the name of it to /vip+shop or let all vips use it. idk its a dumb suggestion but I need to get it out of my head lol.
Sorry for the really late response (only a month late ), I'm just working through all of the suggestions now. For simplicity we excluded the "+". Getting the plus character is hard for some users and isn't really needed to put across what the command does; we do try to keep commands as simple as possible. I can understand some of your confusion though, it does however mention when purchasing VIP/VIP+ what the upgrades included are, so hopefully people will understand this before purchasing.

I was thinking maybe the server should have a skin contest for Christmas like we had on Halloween.
Sorry for the really late response (only a month late ), I'm just working through all of the suggestions now. We have taken this idea on board and published the "Costume Contest" last month https://www.noobscraft.com/server/noobmas-costume-contest/.

...my friend got banned for almost a year so I wanted to make him unbanned...
If you know of a player who has been banned but who feels they've been banned incorrectly you can suggest to them that they appeal by posting a new topic at https://www.noobscraft.com/ban-appeal/. If they have already done so and that has not been successful then there isn't anything else they can do to get that account unbanned. We make the decisions when the information is fresh and the issues have just been dealt with, it would be very hard in many cases to look back on issues which happened many months ago and as such appeals can only be made once. I'm sorry you feel disappointed by this but it is their actions which will have lead to the ban not us for acting upon it. We're just enforcing the rules we have set to ensure the game is safe, fair and fun for as many people as possible.

Answers for all of the comments made (check through the post I've responded to everyone who has responded):
Thanks Larry for this update. I hope those players have been put in their place. I have multiple accounts but they are all accounts I've purchased with my own money and I barely use them.
That's fine we don't want to punish you for accounts you own or have explicit permission to use ( Read about shared accounts); if you notice any issues regarding this please contact me.
I have no alts. lol.
You shouldn't need to worry about this change then; just don't use accounts which aren't yours or you don't have explicit permission to use ( Read about shared accounts).
Not sure how you're tracking, but I connect quite often through multiple VPN endpoints in countries all around the world. (Aways with my single account though). ...
You are allowed to use a VPN, we know some people rely on these for a safe and secure connection; that's fine.
Is it ok to use a account what one of your family members gave because they don't play minecraft anymore?
If you have received permission from them and they own the account then sure ( Read about shared accounts).
The accounts i use are mine, I paid for them - and have an understanding with the people (my offline friends) about how and when we use them.
That's fine, as long as you have explicit permission to use them from the owners then it's fine ( Read about shared accounts). If you notice any issues where you reach the new limits please just contact me and I'll sort it for you.
Just the three of us here. I have an account, my bf has an account & my daughter has an account too. My son got too scared of endermen since a past GM of a past server a bunch of family friends all played on filled his house up one day to spook him - he hasn't played MC on any server since - even though I have tried telling him people on Noobstown won't fill up his house full of mobs! lol.
Three accounts isn't going to trigger anything; that's fine. You can use accounts for people who have given you direct permission to do so as long as they own them; so that shouldn't be an issue too ( Read about shared accounts). If you notice any issues with connecting because of this change please contact me though.
Both this current account and the alt (Godhunter213) are shared with 2 friends of mine. I got his permission to use these accounts. Maa maa, he uses both accounts to build stuff in creative, I use it to connect to servers like this, and another friend plays survival in her own world. So this is basically a community account, except that you need creative builder guy's perms to use it. Hope this is allowed!
But if its not, the creative guy said that he'd give this account to me as a Christmas gift.
You are allowed to use accounts that you have direct permission to do so on by the owner, we don't want to punish for that. Just be aware that irrespective of who is using an account on Noobstown we'll act accordingly; so if someone were to break our rules while on your account then we'd still punish it (but hopefully that won't happen), check https://www.noobscraft.com/server/minecraft-accounts/

Due to the recent actions of certain players we'd like to reiterate some specifics in regards to those who have/use multiple accounts. If you don't use more than one account and never intend to this is mostly irrelevant to you.On Noobstown we allow people who own multiple Minecraft accounts to connect to them individually and play on each independently; we'll treat each account as its own entity and as such they'll all be entitled to take part in our events and claim prizes. That's irrespective of if the same person is playing on many different accounts. We have however never allowed people to connect to Noobstown using accounts which they do not own; the use of accounts which you do not own is not only against the Noobstown rules; but can be considered illegal in certain places including the UK, the EU, and the USA. If you are caught using an account which you do not own we will act. As a result of the actions of certain individuals recently we're therefore also introducing a new policy regarding the number of accounts which can connect from the same household in a period of time. This limit is more than enough for any legitimate user to have their whole family play together; if you aren't abusing it's extremely unlikely you'll ever notice this change. If however you reach this limit you (and every account you have ever connected with) will be automatically be banned from the server and we will investigate your account activity and act accordingly. If you have recently been using accounts which you do not have appropriate access to (and we haven't already been in contact) now is your final chance to own up through PMing me on the site. If you're caught from this point onwards the action will be more serious. If you are simply playing with accounts you or your family own then there isn't anything you need to worry about; this change is to tackle those abusing the rules and to ensure everyone is aware of our stance. If you have any concerns or questions regarding this please contact me or reply and I'll be sure to answer; we don't want you to be concerned. - The Noobscraft Team

Hi, in order to receive a gift of two items (stacked) I had to clear my entire inventory to accept it.
This is on purpose to ensure that people can make a special layout for the items they are gifting (they can make a fancy pattern with the items). For example if someone puts their items in the layout like the picture in the first post; then when the person receiving it opens it, it'll be laid out exactly like that. If we were to allow the number of items to simply be added to existing items within the inventory it would be much harder to establish what the gift actually was and wouldn't allow the layout customisation like it does currently. You can however keep your hotbar with items; it is only the main top three rows which must be cleared. If you just want to give other people items which aren't necessarily gifts (and as such the layout doesn't really matter) you can do so using /trade or through a chest, or by simply passing the items physically to them.

/gift is now back on Noobstown! You've been asking for it for months now and we've finally brought back a new form of gifting just in time for Noobmas! You can now use /gift [name] again to send gifts to other players in-game. This time it uses a slightly different (but hopefully nicer) way to collect though. Each player can now receive 54 gifts at once without having to collect them (that's a possible of over 93,000 items which could be waiting for them)! When you send a gift just use /gift [name] and it will open an extra inventory on top of yours, put any items you want to send to the user in there and then close your inventory; they'll automatically then be sent to that user. You can now sent up to 5 gifts to each player without them having to collect any from you! To collect a gift you've received just do /gift collect. This will open a new menu which lists all of the gifts you've received! Just find the one you're looking for (most recent ones are shown first) and click on the sender's head to claim it; the items they sent will then be passed on to your real inventory! It's that simple! There is no extra chest like previously. We were aware with the old system that people often received gifts annoyingly from players they didn't want to. So now you can block a player from sending you gifts; just use /gift block [name] and they won't be able to send you anymore gifts! If you believe you had items left from the previous gifting system which you never collected please PM me, and I'll transfer it over to the new system for you!I hope you all really enjoy this change, we know people loved the old system and hopefully this one will be even better! If you've got any questions or ideas regarding this just respond! If you notice any bugs with it you must report them.

We already plan on releasing a shop allowing you to get certain head items to decorate in-game ( https://www.noobscraft.com/idea/head-shop/) using a trade however I can't see a reason why it couldn't be a donation perk too, maybe to get a group of them or some special ones. Great suggestion.

Explosions on Noobstown don't do any block damage and as such Blast Mining wouldn't really do anything of use; hence it's disabled.
