Okay so Ive looked it up and in past forms Ive heard that Automatic farms are ok as long as your not finding ways to bypass the afk kicker. Does this still hold true since Ive heard from other people that Automation farms are okay but have to be activated with a button you press.
(Exsample) So it comes down to is a completely cactus automation farm collected from a hopper allowed or does it have to be a button pushed piston activated farm?
Sorry for the late response from me. You are allowed to make farms which activate on a timer or with redstone however that may be. You aren't allowed however to have these farms running while you are AFK; whether cheating or not (anything which defeats being kicked isn't allowed; farm or not). If you're not actually active when near them you shouldn't have them. The exception to them being allowed is anything which abuses mechanics within the game that are clearly bugs or don't work as intended or fairly. If you're unsure about specifics please contact me and we can discuss them.

Right now we have /advertise which allows you to pay to advertise something to the server. This however only affects the people that are online at the time and is really only for current events. Say someone just built a new shop and wants to advertise it, with this you'll be able to buy an ad that run through the server every so often, like tips (maybe you pay for an ad that specifies what type of shop you have). This way players aren't constantly spamming in chat. It will also affect everyone that plays within the time of how long the ad runs for, not just the players online at the time of the original announcement. Whether its old players promoting their shops, or new players starting up there shops, i think this could help them.
While I can understand the reason for wanting this it, I imagine if it were repeating it would just become more random chat that people ignore, which then makes them even less useful to on the whole. Currently with it being a one-off it stands out because it isn't something commonly seen in the chat. As long as you aren't being SPAMy and follow the rules with how you're advertising your shop you can mention it in the chats. Just try to be respectful about it.

hi. I have a cow spawned I bought and I placed it down and it was a pig spawner please change this admins!!!
Sorry about this, in the future it is probably best waiting for me or Foob before you place it. If you see me online just say and I'll teleport to you and adjust it for you. If we're not likely to be on at the same time just let me know the coordinates (either here or PM if you don't want them public). Sorry about the issue it won't take long to sort once you let me know where it is.

While I appreciate your commitment to Mineapoc.com; Foob can't currently manage the work load required to actively support continuous new content on both servers at this time, therefore for the benefit of both communities we believe it best that they be merged so they can be both managed together. For more information regarding this please read http://www.minecraftapocalypse.com/news.html. If you have any specific questions regarding the merger please make a Support topic and ask your questions.

...He Said It Was A Halloween Month Only Thing And You Cant Get Them Anymore Can You Please Fix This? ...
It was given out as a theme month reward yes, it is however possible that in the future we'll give them out again; since there are only a limited number of pets and we're aware that new players come along it is only fair that in the future they'll be another chance to get them. For now though they aren't obtainable without buying directly from another player.

Just a quick update regarding a recent bug fix. Earlier today you may have noticed that the balances within certain towns changed slightly. This is because we've rectified an issue which causes town balances to be frozen for the last week or so.
Any towns which spent money during this time have now correctly had that money withdrawn and those towns where the balance should have increased due to income or depositing have had their money correctly increased. The balances are effectively now correct to what they should have been had the bug never existing. Just to keep you updated.
This fix also sorts out any issues players have been reporting with /town deposit and /town withdraw.
If you notice any further issues or questions regarding this please let me know. Sorry for any problems the issue may have caused at the time, it is now sorted.

I'm curious, how are tome rates doing right now? I've heard that perhaps the tomes might be messed up drop-rate wise?? Like that the rarer tomes are dropping more often than the basic ones?
So, I'd love to see what your drop rates are! How much of each type have you gotten? Is there any imbalance that you can tell?
Since we have 10 days left before the tomes are over, if there are any issues it'd be good to figure them out before it's all over. Especially if we're going to have an event like this again!
I literally just checked through all of the rates for the different tomes and they are following the correct random levels. It is likely you're just getting unlucky with what is dropping. Obviously I'd love to hear if others are experiencing this issue though.

UPDATE: The downtime is hopefully over. More InfoWe are aware of the current unexpected downtime. We're sorry about this and are working to get the server back up as soon as possible. Until then you could join others on our TeamSpeak server ( voice.noobstown.com). Again sorry, we're looking to sort this as soon as we can. More information/updates to follow.

Sorry for the lack of response previously I've been waiting to hear what others had to say about this. It is something we considered introducing when we first brought out the wilderness system over a year ago, and have again reconsidered several times over almost the last two years. As a team however we've decided (as some have suggested already) that it won't be introduced currently for some of the following reasons: - (As some have suggested already) The likely knock-on effect of using towns it's one of the major perks for actually being part of a town. By making it a feature that is only available in towns we're encouraging the use of towns if that's a feature you want.
- The fact that the danger is so minimal if you light up the area or build a wall. (And with the free wilderness land now you can easily expand around to ensure that you're lighting up past the area you actually want to build in too.)
- The fact that mobs can already be disabled in the town world is limiting our survival Minecraft role slightly anyway and if this were to be expanded to the wilderness there would hardly ever be any danger, even slight (which is one of the features of the game).
- The fact it's much easier in wilderness land you own to build a structure which can keep you safe than it is in the towns (even that you are part of) where hopefully most structures are protected from normal residents.
I do want to thank you for actually putting forward the idea publicly though and all of the comments that were received, it has been noted that a number of people wanted this. We did discuss it as a staff group recently and decided against the idea at this time though, for the reasons above. It is something we might consider again the future but it would have to be an expensive perk if ever introduced to still ensure that the benefit to towns existed.

I've been mining sand all night and I got one tome. Yesterday I got way more by doing the same thing. If it was decreased, why?
As far as I'm aware the rates hadn't dropped; you might just have been "unlucky" in the last day. Just to be sure though I went back in my time machine and made sure more were around in the past so there might be even more a of chance you could find them now in the present. AKA the rates should be faster now .

I was told that it was broken a long time ago and that no matter how high your salvage is you only get one piece. I have talked to several people with even higher salvage then mine and they have only ever gotten 1 piece of anything (leather armor, gold armor, etc). I was just wondering if maybe it was still glitched/turned off?
It's definitely not turned off, because of our high maximum possible levels for mcMMO skills everything is spaced out much further than you'd imagine, so for you to actually notice that getting more than one can occur you'll have to be an extremely high level. I've checked and it isn't turned off in our settings unless it's broken in the version of mcMMO we're using but I doubt that. The number of items it might drop increases (as a percentage of the total possible that you could earn (the amount of items you put in during crafting)) as you get closer to the maximum possible level. It is quite complicated to work out how many items you might get because of a number of variables. For example salvaging a chestplate made up of 8 pieces is more likely you'll earn more than 1 item back because it's got more in it in the first place, so the level you have to get at to get multiple back is lower. Whereas with a sword for example which contains only 2 of the material, you'll have to be much closer to max-level to get 2 items back from it.

I've overridden the stored copies of your skin so it should now be updated if you check.

Sorry I completely missed this post.
Salvage now has its own level, (An average of fishing and repair) as this level goes up you'll gain more and more items from the total possible amount.

The skin we've got recorded for your account has been updated. The way the site works however means that images can take a few days to update sometimes. I'll try to explain why this occurs in a way that is easy to understand: The site servers keep copies of the original images (once they have been loaded) and stores them around the world to reduce loading speeds locally for you (and so does your browser to reduce your loading times and reduce bandwidth). Because of this it doesn't always ask the site to update what is actually shown in the image, it just shows the copy it has stored on a server nearer your physical location (thus keeping the loading much much faster and meaning we can provide much more content from our web server). (a content distribution network and caching for the technical terms) Because of this the images don't update immediately and depending on when they were last loaded they'll update at different times. The image on your profile will eventually update to show your skin, it just might take sometime to do so. You can find out more about how your browser will cache images and other content; plus information about how to clear this at www.refreshyourcache.com. It will still take time for our server to physically update the image though.

Just as a suggestion for a way to give credit for time spent. A title system could be enacted, somewhat like Mineapocs. You unlock titles from time spent (some for expensive amounts of noobs as a money drain? ), then can select one using /title. All that would change would be the in-chat title, kind of like the architects (magicman27, Batuus). Overall it would just be a cosmetic with no other benefits, unless it is seen fit to add a slightly useful /kit or slight mcmmo buff. ...
As I tried to explain we sort of use the titles to set distinct ranks/levels within the game, adding "fun" titles or even more serious ones people could simply buy would ruin some of the structure we currently have in the title matching your rank. Something along this idea might be something for us to consider though.
... Also Elder Class..
The Elder title is simply a renamed version of another existing rank just like Architect, which is why I didn't directly mention them and did explain: ...
- VIP+ (Another paid rank, this is simply an upgrade of VIP; more perks) (This is also re-labelled for several individual users who are known for doing certain things)
...

Firstly I'd like to say thanks for the suggests it's great that you've got some input for us being such a new player. The feedback is always welcome. I'm going to go through each of your suggestions and explain my view on them (I'm not going to say a right out no I'll explain things, hopefully.) ... 1) A CENTRAL SHOP This would be a shop open only at certain times when the server is up. It can be ran by paid volunteers and moderated by Mods. The point of this central shop would be like a black Friday sale for the server. Here you can sell anything and everything as well as buy. This will give Econ focused players something to look forward to and encourage more farming/mining from players overall. To encourage players to visit this place the shop will open at peak hours for the server, items sold by this shop would be at bargain price, and items the shop sells would be worth the wait. ( For example make sugar cane farming meaningful than just improve your farming skill! ) ...
I'm slightly confused by what you mean by this, but I assume you mean have a location which is actually open a certain hours where players can come and buy/sell things to the server? If that's the case; we already have /auction which allows you to buy and sell things with everyone anyway and you can do this at any time from any location. We also have /shop which allows you to sell common items back to the server; this again is available from anywhere and at all times. I can't see how having a shop open at certain times would be better than ones available from anywhere all the time. Your idea would also involve a lot of organisation of players to be on at times when the shop is supposed to be open; and very often real life schedules get in the way of certain things like this. If I've completely misunderstood your suggestion regarding this please explain it again and I'll reread it. 2) Improved ranked system. Correct me if i'm wrong, but this is what the ranked system looks like to me:
Members/Guest = Average People VIPS = Pay 2 win Mods = Da police
That's boring and straight forward about adding these ranked and have these requirements:
Guest = No Requirements Member = 24 Hours on server Veteran = 200 hours on server Donator = Someone who donated to the server ( 1 time ) V.I.P. = Close friend of High mod/owner Rookie Mod = A mod in training High Mod= A very trusted mod Retired = Mods who stepped down Youtuber = A somewhat big youtuber who plays on the server ( 1,000 subs min? )
As others have explained we do already have quite a number of ranks on Noobstown, they stem back from our years of being around and have become a standard in our community now, it would be quite a large step to suddenly change them. As others have outlined we currently have: - New (A player who hasn't yet registered on the site) (What you described as a guest)
- Member (An ordinary registered player)
- Supporter (Someone who donated during our previous server version, this isn't currently obtainable.)
- Veteran (A special rank given to those players who did certain things in previous versions, again this isn't currently obtainable.)
- VIP (A paid for rank, giving you several perks in-game and on the site)
- VIP+ (Another paid rank, this is simply an upgrade of VIP; more perks) (This is also re-labelled for several individual users who are known for doing certain things)
- Chat Mod (A player selected to moderate the server, they tend to focus on more chat related things though) (This would be similar to your "Rookie Mod" possibly?)
- Moderator (Explains itself really, normally given after they've been a chat mod previously)
- Admin (Those who manage the day-to-day running of things)
I do like the idea of giving credit for being active however I'm not exactly sure how we'd go about that considering the way our ranks work currently. It is definitely something for us to consider though. 3) Warps
To encourage a better sense of community and economy allowing warp sets would do wonders. For example bob wants to create a shop to sell stuff to his server, but not have it on /visit bob. Instead he can name his own warp and store such as /warp bobs burgers.
What you described is the whole reason why we added /visit players can set up a cool location they want people to visit and then can let people know about it. They then as a player become more known due to the use of their name in the command and then their location becomes more popular and the cycle continues. Remembering the name 'bob' seems much easier than having to remember the random name they set for it? We also use /warp for much more official things such as cool locations we've set and for events, giving everyone access to that would mean we'd need to move the more official locations to a completely different system; again just adding more layers of complexity. While it might seem I've just completely put down your suggestions I don't want you to feel like that. The suggestions were really useful for us to hear they're just not things we're currently looking to change (we've been around for a long time and some things have been set in a certain way of doing things and changing that now would be a lot of work for both us and players having to relearn things); and you're the first person to have really put them forward (if anyone else agrees with them please let me know). If you have anymore ideas though I'll be sure to review them.

... *extra info-I did revert my name back (case sensitive) but when I join the server it states "failed to verify username"
Have you tried connecting again recently? This is an error that shows when our server can't connect with Mojang's username verification system. If you're still experiencing this and your username is exactly as before we'll be more than happy to help and look into this for you.

This looks pretty cool, while I'm not going to confirm or deny the validity of the values (I'm sure you could check them out). I will tell you it's not the algorithm we use to calculate the pricing even if the result may appear similar (I haven't checked myself so I actually don't know ), this is nicely recursive though. Just to let you know, the first 10 chunks aren't actually 0 in their own right, they just happen to be free because you start off with 10 for free when you first join. (If you sell off your existing land and then go to try and buy some they won't be free hopefully). On a similar note, currently one individual chunk will never cost more than 200,000Nbz (excluding any extra fees).
700
« on: 19 Oct 2015, 17:56:53 »
If you have a or some free chunks saved up but you want to use Nbz to buy the chunk instead, is that possible. For, because doesn't the price still go up if you buy a chunk for free?
You can't use Nbz if you have a free chunk. The next chunk you buy will be free, why would you want to pay if you can get it for free ? If you don't want the money then I'm sure someone else would be willing to receive it .
... If you delete all you chunks will buy get these free chunks back? How about those 12 free chunks from the beginning of the game? And how about those vip+ free chunks or those bought from the RL money?
- If you have already used them and then sell your land you won't get them back no, but you'll continue to earn them so you'll get them for free eventually if you keep playing!
- The initial 10* free chunks you get still exist, these are on top of those, so if you are new and haven't used the free 10 then you can earn your 11th, 12th, etc. free too. It just adds on top. *People only got 12 previously because they were a free gift for the move over from V5 to V6; new players only get 10.
- Regarding purchased chunks, these new ones just stack on top of any other free chunks you get. They're all exactly the same thing; free land!
