We're in the process of going through all items including Potions and enabling them for sale in the auction. Potions specifically are taking sometime because there are so many variants of them and depending on how you create them it gives a different item ID. Don't worry though they'll be sellable eventually.

I think the gift command should be made permanent if it's not already (and unrelated to general celebrations) since it's a nice way to surprise people.
After all it requires the receiver to empty all the inventory so it's not going to substitue proper trades: no one would want to waste time opening a lot of boxes one after another and you can't tell what's inside until you open it.
Please refer to this suggestion topic regarding this feature: http://www.noobscraft.com/suggestions-ideas/itemparcel-sending-system/

We have plans to introduce/keep a system similar to the current gifting system. That was always part of our plan, however hearing that you like the idea too is really nice.

If you want to sell stone, place it and use a non-silktouch pickaxe to mine it back up, thus you have cobble to sell! Or auction it; I'm sure some people won't want to go through the effort of smelting it. Or even store it and save it for future builds; smooth stone is required for a large number of crafting recipes for some nice blocks/items. Or the best tip: don't use a silk touch pickaxe if you're trying to make money from stone!

The odd/fast food depletion is appears to be a bug in the current version of vanilla Minecraft. We have tried to equate for this temporary bug by introducing /kit food. Other than that there isn't much we can do at this time.

This is partly to do with how the game is coded with the first row of your inventory being the hotbar then going to the top of your main inventory. There are however also those on the other side of this argument who hold the item they wish to sell and therefore your system of taking it from their inventory may be just as annoying to them as it is to you currently.
Unless there is an overwhelming response to this request we aren't going to change this system for the foreseeable future, it's not too hard to just open your inventory and shift click the item you want in your hotbar back there. Or even wait to sell the items once you no longer need them?

What Duelcon explained is part of the reasoning behind the pricing being as it is. We want growing your land to be really something you need to work towards. In V5 we experienced a point at which people had more money than they knew what to do with, this way you have to choose wisely how to spend your money, to either buy items, perks, land, towns, etc. It will eventually get to a point for many players where money isn't an issue though; which is why the pricing increases as it does, as you have money making more money becomes easier; hence the exponential factor in the pricing.
If you are wanting to build a massive project we suggest you start off small or do small sections of it until you can afford to expand it further.
All players need to be aware that our current V6 economy is just starting and therefore the selling prices of items may not be at what they will level out to be at. For example we are trying to make the economy 10 times larger than it was originally planned to be; with everything else being 10 times larger relatively (so you won't notice the change) land pricing also reflects this thought on everything else being worth more. You can make tens of thousands simply from mining out a small area with cobble and dirt.
I will still however talk with Fatnoob about this and review our pricing plans.

I understand why it's like that, but I'd like a commnad to set one channel as the default one.
The most annoying thing is when I'm going back and forth from mining trips and my channel keeps switching and the people I'm talking to (or will be talking to) are not physically close to me.
As Fatnoob said, if we implemented something like that then main channel you set to use would become overcrowded with people who are always sticking into that channel, this way you are normally talking to those in the world you are in until you specifically select not to.

When you sell land will it reset back into it's original state (i.e. will a hill you flattened reappear)? If yes, may I assume that chests on a chunk will disappear or become inaccessible when you sell that land?
All items and chests are lost, everything will be removed when the land regenerates after a sale.
Question:
When you do the command /wild chunk lock, can you unlock it somehow, or is it permanent?
Yes, simply type it again to unlock the chunk.
... Along with that, wont that allow you to spam on diamonds? You know claim the land, pinpoint diamonds, dig diamonds, unclaim land, claim land and so on?
All "Rare" blocks are cleared when you sell the land, so any ores, chests, spawners, etc. are set to stone so that this cannot happen.

If they have a /wild help command, I'm fine ...
There is no /wild help however if you just type /wild it will give you information about all the commands.
So everybody will have a command to teleport to their Wilderness home and another to teleport to their Town home, correct?
Related questions: -Can we set home on a chunk we do not own? -Can a builder set home on a chunk with building permissions? -Is there a specific permission to allow someone to set home on my chunks?
The sum of those would make possible to turn a wilderness area into a pseudo town.
The /wild chunks home command is not the same as /sethome these are different things, the wild chunks home command will only take you to land you specifically own and cannot take you to other peoples land, you can however if you have homes to set set homes around the world.
Since this is about the Wilderness world I was wondering... Will there be a Mining world at the start? Or does it take time to get ready? Do we have to start off with mining in the wild?
A little off topic but yes there will be a Mining world at the start of V6. You can also mine in land you own though if you want to.
I have a question. I was just telling craftymatt13 about the wilderness guide and he said that he had heard somewhere that there may be like a "forcefield" keeping others from walking around on a claimed area in the wilderness. Will that be the case? Will others that are not added to your chunks be able to walk around on your chunks either just looking or passing by? Just wondering because if you cant just walk on others chunks that might make it a little harder to get around the wilderness when everyone starts claiming chunks...
You cannot put up a forcefield around your land no, the only time that a forcefield is created is when land is sold off and so it has to regenerate to the natural terrain, while it is doing this you cannot enter that particular chunk (to avoid damage from the blocks), it shouldn't be too hard to avoid and there are always many teleport commands to get you to different areas as you need to.

People normally tend to really dislike sounds from websites where they haven't explicitly asked it to play, therefore I'm not going to add it. You could however simply open this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHIVeWhCMU8 in a separate tab and then view the timer if you wanted the effect?

This is not the place to really be asking for Veteran, this topic is designed so that I can know who people would like to give it to. If they don't really already have someone set out they don't have to give it to anyone, it's not required. As I explained in the first post: ...If your name is not listed below then you aren't entitled to gift another player Veteran and shouldn't reply....
Any future requests to receive the title will be removed. Please continue posting who you'd like to get it if you are in the list on the first page though.

I have a question. If we get a friend to join before the 1st, can we gift it to them?
They have to have a forum account by the 1st.

This is a post targeted at those users who are meant to be receiving multiple Veteran status' before the release of V6. If your username is listed below you are entitled to receive 1 extra Veteran title (or more if red info is next to your name) to gift to another current player of Noobstown. Before the 1st February GMT you need to reply to this topic explaining exactly who you'd like your extra Veteran to go to (post their username). If you fail to do this before the 1st then you will lose the chance to do so. If your name is not listed below then you aren't entitled to gift another player Veteran and shouldn't reply. Please note this is not a list of players who will be actually receiving Veteran it is simply a list of those who received more than one and so are able to give one away to another player. ( Giving the title is to be a gift only and not to be sold.) We reserve the right to decline any suggestions you give us for people who are to receive it.- 86MaxSmart x 1
