Music / Re: Headphones?
« on: 22 Nov 2013, 14:45:39 »
I used to have Turtle Beaches since the sound quality was great for music and games. I recently got rid of them though because I have gone through four pairs, three P11s and one PX21s, the wires were too long and either tangle like mad or they're heavy enough to pull itself out of it's socket. I was told the plastic that keeps the wires attached in the ear muff was really weak and it's the core to most people's problems with them. The headsets themselves are really good and I don't mean to bash on Turtle Beach, but you'll only have them for a couple months tops unless you're super sensitive and you take very good care of them. I recently went with Cavima.n.u.s' (Got censored -.-) Virtual 7.1 Gaming Headset. The wire isn't annoying and is much easier to untangle. It does make your ears sweat a little because they're cupped with soft padding, but the quality of them overall is pretty good and they're very comfortable. I only paid 42 pounds for them so when these headphones break it's not so much of a problem to replace them since it is only 42 pounds, but when you accidentally break a headset which is around 150 pounds, it's a real kick in the nuts. When it comes to buying things like that, watch video reviews and comparisons so you know exactly what you're buying.

Your channel overall looks pretty sturdy, although I don't speak Spanish, you sound as if you'd be entertaining to listen to and it's good quality, you don't appear to be boring or what not either so that's a good thing. Another thing is your thumbnails, the desperado ones look good, but I'd suggest using different pictures every episode and a more pop-out font instead of the basic one. For the Minecraft survival/hunger games one I'd suggest making your own type of logo and again, use different background images. I would show you an example, but I actually deleted all the Minecraft stuff I had, I'll make a couple basic ones though so you know what I mean:

I'll use The Hunger Games for the example. So what I did here was take a picture of the official mockingjay and used that in the background as it does in fact represent THG, then I made two different types of text which suit what we're playing, the Minecraft is in it's original Minecraftia font and "Hunger Games" is in a scratchy/grungy font which in my opinion suits the feel of the game and movie since it's pretty violent :P. I also added a blurred image in the background, if you were doing this I'd suggest using an image of the arena you're playing in, in that episode. I used a random picture of terrain for the example though.

For episode two of the same series, I'd use the similar looks like so, with only changing the episode number and the background image:

Now, if I was to do a different series, but still with Minecraft, I'd keep the Minecraft text, but swap out the other text and the image in the background that represents what you're playing, here's an example of what I'd do for Hide & Seek, another Minecraft minigame:

Everything I done above is just personal preference of course and you don't need to use it, I believe it's a good example though of what you can do with your thumbnails.

I have a dog and a cat, keep in mind I am no photographer and I don't have a good camera xD. Also, neither of them look very happy, but that's because I was trying to get a decent photo haha!

This is just so sad.  People bash kingtaco mercilessly and without restraint after winning the contest and then when he rightfully attempts to defend himself, he gets bashed again and told to delete his post.  Talk about a double standard.  I'm starting to question if this really is the kind of community I want to be part of.

Well you're staying because you one of the coolest here lol!!

There is the (dreaful) scottish slang word "Gajy"
meaning: friend, someone you know
example: Oy, gajjy's aff tae the park, comin en? haha
No no no no, you only call someone a gajjy if they're a mink, in other words someone who doesn't keep them self hygienically clean. o.o

[EDIT]: Can be used in a joking term to though.

Max, I have a random question, kinda off of this topic, but still space related.. I heard there's going to be four people going to live on mars to begin the process of making it livable with plants and stuff and they will live the rest of their life there, am I totally off on this story or is that actually happening? I could be totally wrong, but it would be cool if you could tell me some more on it ;)

The longer you lot wait, the greater it shall be.
Says the guy who never actually plays the server, comes on the forums to post a few and then disappears again lol.

I meant the xbox graphics are pop out more and as for the ps4 graphics, they are dulled down a little more.
That's not true at all, they use the same qualities and both down sample to standard definitions. The only real difference is that Ps3 can use blu-ray discs.

I know but the lighting looks better on the xbox games and i love the controllers
The lighting depends on your monitor/television screen, and the settings you use, and of course if the sun reflects on it.

I already got a lot of gear throughout the year, super sweet computer with two monitors and a custom corner desk with a whole load of other stuff like a wacom bamboo and a kindel fire hd, I'd feel greedy if I asked for anything else this year since I've been spoiled quite a bit D:

I'm just going to admire how beautiful spawn is first thing.  I mean without that, is there any reason to play?  Other than Adrian, I'm shocked the rest of you aren't doing the same.  At least show a little gratitude and devotion to the server.

Max
It's not really fair to say the people who prefer to get started straight away don't show gratitude and devotion, we've all waited the same amount of time for the server to open, and most of us have done it patiently. I've been thankful enough to Foob for NoobsCraft, it's just that I don't show it publicly. There's plenty of time to adventure later when you've found your special spot on the map.

BVB is Black Veil Brides, quite an awesome band although it's gathered some common hate among sites like facebook and youtube which in fact only helps to spread their presence.. Learn to use the criticism as fuel and you will never run out of energy. - Orrin Woodward

I know exactly where I'm living, kinda looks like some awesome beach resort shaped in a U. Seen it on a mini sneak peek Foob gave me on skype, really hoping nobody gets there first :D :(

I am going to get there first and claim it, and you will have to buy it from me.
My price: 0.1 Noobz.
I'd give you it if you arrived there first, it's one large treck. I think it'll take an hour just to get there if you include the bunking out at night to avoid the mobs, no joke. Fatnoob was using /speed 10 when he was flying around, I'm sure from seeing the livemap, it still would've taken him a good few minutes to fly from one corner to the other.. the size of it is pretty insane :P.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Anti X-ray
« on: 27 Oct 2013, 03:16:25 »
This has been suggested in the past, but was rejected because it just takes up space, anyone who uses X-Ray should know it's not a matter of if they will be caught, but when.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Temporary Server *ftnub pls*
« on: 26 Oct 2013, 12:56:10 »
Ah I see, wasn't sure if that was still in play since it has taken longer than they intended, and Mineapoc isn't temp server worthy lol, it's a whole different scenario.

I agree with your first point, BUT the second one is just not right, yes its not completely the admins fault but they should know that 1.7 is coming out soon, if there are snapshots of 1.7, then its meaning that the new version is close to release, so i don`t understand why the admins make post that V6 will released today, if they know that soon 1.7 be out, and they will need to take the server back to maintenance after the 1.7 release.

You don't have the slightest idea of what you're talking about.

They can't run the server AND update it at the same time.
They couldn't release V6 earlier because they didn't have time to do it (and they're doing it for free)
They surely guessed 1.7 was coming out... and? Should they have obtained stable 1.7 code before Mojang even released it?

Updating a living server would mean having to waste time double-checking for world generation problems, corruption, ruined builds, etc.

They did what's best in terms of efficiency given the resources they had. Stop whining.

It's not that hard to duplicate a server and then work on that to test your new potentially world-breaking coding. So yes, you can work on a server and run it at the same time.
I don't think you recognize the shear size of the server, the map alone is memory busting, imagine having to import it every few days after they'd fixed some bugs, it just isn't convenient. Oh and where is the sense in letting people play the bugged version whilst they fixed it on another database? Like, that's the whole point.. they don't want anything exploitable or rule breaking to be released, they want a nice clean start to v6 with minimal problems to fix.

Suggestions & Ideas / Temporary Server *ftnub pls*
« on: 25 Oct 2013, 19:35:23 »
I was curious as to whether we could have a temporary server setup so we can still play? It would allow people to plan future homes with each other and/or keep the agitated players at bay and give them something to do in the meanwhile. We had a temporary server last upgrade so it would be cool to have another ;).

I don't know how far away v6 is so this could be a waste of an idea really, but if you were sure it'd take around another month to open, doo et pls!

it was only suppose to be one week but it turned out to be almost 2 months. I don't know guys I might not be comin back
You'd be more upset if the server opened on the same day and it had to be closed again due to bugs and glitches which affect the economy or something, leaving now would mean the time you spent waiting so far would be wasted, stick around a little longer.

This really sucks, wish they could've given it a little longer so we could have a taste of v6, it feels like it's not possible anymore, I'm excited for every weekend and it just seems to jump away that little bit further lol.
