I was speaking to Angel_Lord about this suggestion and she thought it wouldn't be as good as we think it would be because someone could come online and be a griefer but not grief the server until they become a Moderator as a group of them could come online and support one of the griefers until they become a Moderator which would cause havoc on the server. So if you have any responses for what she said, I'm all ears. 
I can see where Angel_Lord is coming from, but the players the Admins/Mods choose will be trustworthy, long time players, is a well known person in the server/forum community and knows the staff pretty well, like some of us do. But it really boils down to personal preference on the Admins/Mods and who they think will be goo potential candidates. They are the ones picking the people first and us as a community decide who we think would be better suited for the role as a Mod

Ye I see where you coming from, ask the players 'Who would be good and a helpful Mod/Op' and get them to decide between the two best candidates INEED and the Admins have decided upon I would like the idea anyway

So ye basically what the title says really. The reason for this is because I have so much work to do in so little time  So I've had to stop going on Minecraft to catch up with this back log of work  Once every so often I will be on the forums but for the server, I won't be on that for about a week maybe (I may come on the server for a few hours on the weekend for a sneaky break hehe) So ye I hope I'm not missed all that much lol and I shall see some of you around on my sneaky breaks Chow for now

We altered the growth/decay time to reduce stress on the server and increase performance.
Thank you, I feel less crazy for thinking that it was slower then.
To be honest, I have spent so much time on this server that everything here seems normal

Nope, as far as I know the server runs fine with rendering the trees. Although it does take a while for them to grow but make sure there is plenty of room around the trees (atleast 5-7 blocks away from the sapling) and the leaves do disappear eventually, again it just takes time Just be patient with the more tree's

No, you cannot. The whole system is designed to help both the server out (with the fees of hosting and what not) and to give the people who have donated a better in game experience. It's a way of the server saying thank you donater The only way you get free points is on on a special occasion, for example the forum reaching 4000 members.

For the time being, this plugin will not work on the server because and I quote from the website ... 2.2: Major cleanup, Towny integration
2.3: Economy integration
Which both of these plugins mentioned there play a vital role on the server. So if this was added now it would clash with two of the main plugins. Also this server is a survival server. Just be more careful of where you are, having this plugin would make things to easy. Also how would it stop griefers? Could you care to explain please

Karl I agree, lately every time I get on there is roughly about 40 - 60 members on. This is great, the community is growing fast and I don't know if anyone noticed but we already have now 4100 members.
Ye I have seen, It's nuts how much it goes up by. This time next week we will hit 5000 members But I must say everyone does a good job ncluding the Admins and Mods One day I hope I can also help the fellow Mods but that might not ever happen, Its just a matter of being accepted by the staff Anyway keep up the good work everybody P.S. Gudpoe, if you ask JayJay nicely he may go easy on your kid
