I joined in November of 2012 and I think this was the first screenshot I took. I don't even look like gg! I hadn't come to terms with my identity yet, I guess.

Is that taken at spawn? It looks really different.

This was originally just a post about this screenshot i took like a couple of months ago but a "post-your-first-noobstown-screenshot" topic sounds more productive so




This was one of the first screenshots i took when i came back (i originally joined a year ago and then left and came back in like late march.)

So there i was, chilling and talking to Derek the villager, and suddenly i was sucked into this parallel universe with this big portal and all these different ores. If you notice the sign in front of the portal it says "herobrine's arena" or something. I'm sure some of you have been here before, i just wanted to be sure of what it is before i go in there and possibly die

If you ever want to know whats up with the stuffs

Everyone is all about Bernard or Horse Handler Henry and Derek gets no spotlight just because he is in the back with all the others. He is the real hero here:

-He helps out the community by having great deals (i mean let's be real here 7 emeralds for a cake who wouldn't jump at that opportunity.)

-If you look closely at the photo below you can see him grooming our cattle because he's the one that actually cares.

-It's obviously not fun standing all the way in the back when the others get to be right in the front, but Derek manages to keep a happy mood at all times. He does it for us. So please people, next time you visit spawn and greet Bernard and HHH, also remember to send a happy hello to Derek. Thank you.

So i decided maybe having a little chat with him would maybe clear his mind and this is what he told me.

~Bernard's Story~



This is Bernard. He's been working in noobstown for as long as he can remember. He meets many new noobs every day and he loved his job. Until one day, the server brought a new guy into town by the name of Horse Handler Henry.



They got along just fine, until more and more members started talking to Henry and forgetting about Bernard. They even gave him a cute little nickname, HHH. Bernard stood in his usual spot going back in forth in his head about what he was going to do about this "spotlight stealer". He eventually decided that he was no longer needed in Noobstown. So he ran away. It was his only option. A cry for help if you will. So everyday at 6:30pm EST he would "fake" his departure in hopes that someone would notice and finally give him the recognition he deserved. For the first couple days, no one saw. Bernard got discouraged. But on August 13th, a day he will never forget, a cool cat by the name of WindowCreeprr came to the rescue. She had a talk with him and opened his eyes to all the fun memories he's had with his favorite n00bs.

Bernard is staying in noobstown.
