I am a wool-house builder, as I find the different colours of wool which is given, can be used for shading effects etc etc. My perfect home in minecraft would probably be one which had an actual efficient chest room, along with a furnace and alchemy/potion room, and looked good, and was finished down to the final detail with perfection.

I would take a block of endstone, as each block is about 3foot by 3foot by 3foot, and is basically apart of the moon, if that wasn't possible, then I would take a dragon egg as it would eventually hatch in the real world.

Out of curiosity the enchantments you mention are the aqua infinity and the respiration (apply to helmet) and for the fall damage is a enchanment to the leggings no?
The fall damage is a enchantment on boots, known as Feather Falling.

*cough* *cough* do you know how HEAVY that thing'd be?! you would need a dang crane to move it! i personaly would like to have creeper hordes at my disposal and under my control, then we would see who can boss who around while at school and where-ever i go!  *cough* *Cough*
A problem with that would be the amount of pollution the creepers make when they explode, and the amount of land damage which would be done..could cause world war 3 if you aren't careful.

I'd do what AQW said, it's probably the best thing to do, having a diamond irl is a little too unrealistic unless your rich  .
The only difference is that I'd have more than just one ingot, maybe a block 
The only problem with that though, you can't separate the gold block easily.
