I'd Like to add to this.
If you want your town to become popular then the forums is the key.
What you need to do is make your post interesting. Make it have a lore and sections such as: "Story" "Members" "Information" etc.
To find good players that probably wont leave the town for a long time, you should make a mini application to join the town.

All existing members of Noobstown will get a 10,000 bonus as we have started a fresh economy. Donators will receive their full package and Town owners will be given money to support the re-building process.
Hope this clears things up, sorry about the new map.
P.S: I will be live streaming around 6pm GMT while we re-build the new town, if you want to watch the new server take shape feel free to.

Its not any of my business but I dont think you can earn OP status if your reason to want it, is to fly. Even if you were to get it. People would report that as abuse.

The nether isn't that great i would just like notch to stop doing add-ons and do bug fixes but thats too hard to ask.
Nether sucks on singleplayer, But on multiplayer it might not be so bad
