Butter is "SkyDoesMinecraft's" thing...
He called Gold Budder in one of his videos, and then it became this huge deal, then he made a series about it, and it all just blew up.
Then people started taking it to other channels, commenting on videos saying "stop calling Budder for Gold", making fan art about it, as you can see on the original topic post etc..
it is stupid, and I will never in my life sink so low to calling Gold for.. Budder -.-
Agreed this is like when captain sparkles called a slime Jerry
That is kinda different in a way, Gold is a item, with some purpose, the baby slimes are just hoping around, can't even attack you, so naming it as a pet is always nice :p

No offense or anything, but wasnt the reason you were banned Miner was for being disrespectful? I am not trying to offend you or anything of that nature, but its best not to say that other people are annoying or stupid :/ Just trying to look out for you man; I do not want to see you get banned again.
I didn't call him stupid, I called what he did Annoying, which is was... Reading something people write, and they don't know what they are talking about, is annoying.

i think vetren should be for players who have played on the server more than a year and who have donated money and are active
100 Players gone get veteran after what I know, and if you gone only give that to people who have donated money, it is less then 100 players that are still active... so that wont work, and it would also be very unfair. Same goes with the Time on the server, not that many people that are still active has played so long, so again, way to little people.

Top 10 Money might be a bit stupid, as what Magic said, people got towns and nations filled with money, so they can just withdraw the money, to get on the list quite easily.
But the other stuff is still there to discuss, so if someone got ideas, spit out! :p

What I would suggest is...
Earning Veteran will be based on the CURRENT lists, as in
- Top 10 Mcmmo
- Top 10 Money (People can withdraw money from towns and nations, therefor this is crossed over for now)
- Top 10 Time In Game
- Top 10 Blocks Placed..
And more stuff which is already achieved, not by being active, doing stuff, earning stuff etc for the next 2months or so.. but what you have ALREADY done.
The Token system will do about the Opposite, it will...
- Count your Activity from NOW and till V6, giving those active in this time period some extra Tokens.
- Winning events, or participating in events.
- Training Mcmmo, this can then also earn you Veteran, if you managed to make your way to the top 10
So to sum it up, Veteran will be given to does that has gotten some form of Milestone done, From when they STARTED on the server.
But, the Tokens, will be given to does that Achieve something over the next 2 months, like the things i stated above.
Did I get this correct? Cause if so, I find it much more fair, Veteran should be given to the people, that has achieved something big, Tokens shall be given to does who do a lot of stuff, been active, for the next 2 months.

I am not sure if I like the whole "be active to earn veteran" thing, I really don't have very much time atm to be on the server, as I got a job, a music channel so I need to edit the videos, which can take almost 2 hours, and while does are uploading/rendering I can't be on the server anyways, as I lag to much.
I agree, and upset that some who just start can get veteran just being active just a couple of days. There are people who work hard to build up money and stuff but have other responsibilities and they wont get rewarded.. just another kick in the teeth...
You should look a the history of the server and see who put the most into to it and who made towns and help the communities..
That is an old quote from me, before I was told how activity wont really affect your "Veteran Rank", it will only affect your tokens, read the whole conversation next time maybe? :p

Here it goes. I lose. - My Town, which can be rebuilt, it will take time, but it CAN STILL BE REBUILT.- My Items, which I can get back, it will take time, but I CAN STILL GET IT BACK.- My Money, which I can get back, it will take time, but it CAN STILL BE EARNED BACK.I get. - New chances, to fix what I did wrong in V5 - A new wilderness, wish will stay good looking. - Lots of new events, and stuff to do with my server buddy's - A better and re thought economy, which this time wont be broken by people selling stuff for stupid prices. - I will have to rebuild my stuff, which means more time having fun on the server. - New friends, cause people join and might actually stay, cause the wildy don't look like poop. But.. it is 1 thing I didn't add on the "I Lose" list, which is... - Many of my friends, cause they are only looking at the negative. People are threatening or have said that they will leave the server just cause they have to restart? HA, it makes me kinda give them this look...  [R.I.P Michael Jackson, you were a great man] If you gone leave, then fine by me, but you will probably be noted in my book as "The One Who Gave Up" I find it lazy, and actually just straight out stupid by leaving, cause if you leave, you lose your stuff, if you stay you lose your stuff... and if you do leave you will probably end up on a new server, you wont just give up on Minecraft, and this I am sure about, which will mean you don't have any items as well.. so what is the point?
I hope this might switched the thoughts of some people, that was thinking about leaving.

Before the switch over, can we have an apocalypse event in v5?
I kinda wanna see what the world would look like if someone - a certain handsome ninja with a habit of tossing melons at innocent bystanders - set off a doomsday weapon and dropped a few dozen flaming netherrack meteors onto the landscape. It'd also make for a an amusing canon explanation for the reset - after "the event," the server deities saw fit to save us all and teleport us to a brand new new world.
Ideas: - Enable TNT - Enable Lava - giving all players permission for /lightning and /pt (pt is to combine a command with a item you are holding) - give all players /kittycannon... cause why not? - give all players /fireball... cause well, IT IS FUN! :D Would be fun... blowing up all that we love, I would more like that, then just getting it deleted, and I am sure many agree with me :3

No, this has nothing to do with Veteran, cause I am pretty sure I already got that rank, but, I didn't earn that rank by being on the server A LOT, but using the time I had when I was online, something to think about right there c:
I already understood the Token concept, and that it is different methods of earning it, But I am still not a fan of exactly THAT form of earning it.. I would more like it to be straight up Mcmmo only, and off course events as Foob and Lawrence already said, that way does that got less time, are informed when to come on for the events, and mcmmo is something you train by literally playing the game.. so it kinda work in the favor of all, not just a set group of people that like to play a lot.
So I will probably stop there, cause it has already been cleared up how this token system will work, so to continue discussing it is kinda pointless :3 but I would like a opinion on my last "coded" area.

Really? I've seen people selling zombie and skeleton spawn eggs before... I assumed you could use them on a spawner :(
People sell them cause they are often dropped at Drop partys/events, they do not serve any purpose, other then just being in your chest, or a item frame to show it off ;p

you can't use a skelly egg on a spawner, a spawner is for none hostile mobs only

I seriously hate the "Be active to earn Tokens" ... it just doesn't work for me, in any way.
If the top 10 most active on the server is gone get a bunch of buff's at the start of the V6, I just lost all faith in the new version, and I will tell simply my opinion on the whole "Be active to earn yourself stuff" idea...
1: People got stuff to do outside of Minecraft, and people also are less wanting to play now cause they know it will pointless, as all their stuff will be gone anyways.
2: By giving a buff to the top 10 active players, once V6 starts, is like giving a million to someone who is already a millionaire, cause they are a lot on the server, they got more time using their V6 starting buff, which makes them get far ahead of everyone else, as they got the buff, and they are also more active, you see what I mean?
3: People can easily AFK their way to the top, it is ways to cheat the "AFK kick system" I am sure, and many probably know how to.
That is really all my points, being given lots of tokens cause you are on the server a lot, cause you don't have anything important to attend to, like school, work etc.. is it really no other way to make this system work in a more fair way..?
I seriously hope so.. :/

So, is there any way to tell if you are in the top 100? Cause I think I might be but I probably am not. I mean, i've been playing on here since early V2, and I have tons of in game time, i mean, I'm no mrfloris but I think I play a heck of a lot on this server, especially since i quit school. So, just wondering, can we have the list of people who might be in the top 100?

That's good to know, I suggest to consider lowering the idle kick time to 15 minutes for the last few months, preventing people from being afk pretending to be active. Best of luck everybody, it will be exciting to get veteran on the new server.

Regarding Old Veterans,
All old veterans will be moved to the new rank, we are just giving 100+ people the chance to join the rank in v6.
Fair enough, I am not a veteran in the first place, but I know a lot of people that is :3 So I think it would suck for them to lose their rank, but as they wont, it is all good! :)
