Update: It's Saturday night, and that means another chance to get some fishing levels as a group.

Tell your friends and family you just can't hang out and come play some minecraft with your online buddies. We got fishing rods, food, diamond blocks, and heads to drop, we have mcmmo levels, a couple of repair and acrobatics levels to spread around, and a new airship with probably a treasure chest on it with some freshly imported pirate loot..

Maybe some staff members have time to join in so this is your chance to fish with a noobscraft staff!

There are again golden apples named mrfloris, and who knows what else .. just lying around on the shore line and the river floor.

Things that help:

Helmet with respiration and aqua enchants, so you can find that loot and look around for more. The repair and salvage cave below the jungle tree is still there, the repair and smelting furnaces are still there behind it. And the sunken ship is also still there, something fun to explore, and maybe even more treasure chests that refresh with new items every 15 minutes or so.

The event will be Less than an hour, but hopefully at least 30 minutes. Those who stick around to the end will again get a little extra something in a /gift.

Will there still be money vouchers floris? Heck yeah! I made a 100k just selling wood at the town x farms, so that's a voucher right there. And I just spoke to a fellow fisher Mistic_Ice who says to just drop another 250k to the ocean floor for one lucky person. There is still pirate gold left over from last nights part, so surely that will be flying around or sitting on the tops of trees.

Music? Duh! If you fish up a music disk and it's quiet, just bring it to a staff member or mrfloris, and we will turn up the volume.

Any surprises? If I told you.. it wouldn't really be a surprise. Maybe some new things have been built, maybe something else is in the planning. We will see.

The event is now over by the way, at least for Friday. We had loads of fun.

We started training with 5+ people online. Killjoy joined and we had 12+ people there to play mc with. That sounded like it was time to announce it and get the party started.

Foob joined us and fished with us for a while. Super awesome. Thank you for doing that And not just you: everybody!
I had a blast playing with Macadam, countdown, Edix, Killjoy, Kathy, Warrior, suddenrose... i can go on. Loads of people showed up.

And I took that opportunity to give little rewards for leveling up fishing - well some people. The rest were hunting secret areas and treasure chests. Some people got small loots, others got money. And a couple of people got some phat loot boxes with more than 50k worth of items in them, .. not to mention one lucky mrotto who scored himself the 250k voucher.

Oh yeah, we also caught some fish.

But maybe I also got distracted dropping diamonds, and unique heads, rare and common fishing loot, as well as shooting off fireworks. Mmm I might have to admit, maybe I took a little boat ride with Foob for old times sake.




Hopefully on Saturday we have killjoy online, 12+ people again, and double exp is still on. Because I feel like fishing!

Ok I mean on a monthly level there doesn't seem to be one for that (unless I'm blind)

Nope, and yes! Monthly stats would be nice for a couple of things.

Fishing /party on Friday at least, hopefully also on saturday, and heck, if it's still on sunday - maybe even sunday.

One of the other surprises is to return to the community. If you come fish with us, we come with spoils and loot.

We might have a few shulker loot boxes with unknown items, ranging from dirt to some ph4t l00t y0.

We have hidden treasure chests where they might end up in, or on the global /ah market, they might just randomly be thrown without any warning into the water for others to fish up. So come fish, pay attention, enjoy double xp, and who knows.. you might just go home with a bit more than a fish.

Additionally, there will be daily items on the /ah market that are either overly expensive, or overly cheap. Meaning you might just walk away with the old admin-head for just $1. Who knows..

It's worth being an active player this weekend and especially those who participate in the event.

Note please that if we announce something special it might just be in /ch l (local chat channel), so fisherman nearby will get a headsup on what gets dropped, sold for cheap, or what's coming next.


Hey, it's Friday, almost the weekend

This sounds great, my only concern is that means 1 ender dragon for 3 to 4 months basically. While I know that you can respawn it, that greatly lowers the chances for players that aren't on 24/7 to be able to get to defeat the ender dragon. Other than that, this update seems amazing! ( Forgot to mention this, on one of the mining spawns last time, to get out of spawn, you had to jump, which would kill you with no armor. Happened to one of my friends I was mining with. Thanks!)

maybe i do not understand how this dragon stuff works, but .. if you can respawn it, doesn't that mean that even with 1 player online or 50 players online .. you can just .. spawn it? like who cares if it is there originally once the first time?

Update:

The second one is done too, a little area to discover where you can explore something pretty while you use the public furnaces to melt down your items. Handy if you want to take a 3 minute break from fishing grind.

s1/dxe We've just heard that we might indeed get a double exp event this weekend. So get those fishing rods ready and come enjoy the area this weekend and help eachother get some fun items, (maybe another surprise) and have a party as a community. Bring your friends. Usually when I am trying to give instructions, so you try to use " and ' to surround commands, or -> point at "something", and type: /blahblah

the " ' / : stuff triggers it.

Sometimes something like this:
On the .com site just go to "you" and then "messages" from where you can start a new msg.

It has been fantastic seeing so many familiar faces (as well as new!) on Noobstown. I think a double exp weekend would be a great way to celebrate

Yep, including yours! Cool to see you playing, along with all the new people who signed up and have been active recently.

It's really great to have come back at a time when activity is booming, and a celebration would make for a great weekend to meet and greet between us all as well as have some fun. I am definitely in support of a double exp weekend, and hope to see everyone this weekend either way!

Edix, you were there the moment I started that little corner in v5, and you're here today. It's pretty awesome to have you along with Duel and Tomb and many others around while I play some mc.

The increase in players has been great to see, I agree it'd be nice to reward everyone who is online and playing.

I have previously done random moments of bonus mcMMO XP because of the numbers of players online, there is no plan for me to stop doing that, I'm not sure if you've been online for them, but it's something I have done on many occasions.

As for this weekend, I'm sure something can be arranged .

Top ten online player here larry, I can't be here 24/7 Surely I miss a couple. It's cool to hear we might be able to expect a little reward exp time this weekend. I guess that means I can't sleep the coming 72 hours so I don't miss it.

I mentioned a few surprised, the first one is done. The area will have a little secret nearby with donation chests so people who participated and have items they want to give back to the towns they can find this secret and explore it, and put the items in the donation chests. Tip: Put your name on an item as well, so we know who helped out

Progress is still being made

Update for this week is that the second level of the public farms is ready basically. You can already use it.

and there are holes in the floor to drop down to the next level.

You can find the other tree types there each in their own row.

We've also made progress with the shopping area, and it's almost ready to get the town-design applied to it.

We also rewarded long term players with additional plots, and even gave a newcomer the exception of more plots in exchange for pretty builds.

Additionally we've hired some residents to help out with some areas in town to keep the building going.

Soon, if you "know" what town x means, you might win a fun little prize.

Soon, if you submit your designs for a skeleton spawner (see ender_vine!) you could be eligible for a double plot as earlier explained.

Soon, if you "know" what a town x TOKEN means, and are still in our town, AND still have the token .. you might be eligible for something fun.

So there's more to come, including a fishing mcMMO grind /party event with everybody on the server at one of our prime locations on the server. We're designing and building today and tomorrow, and have a few fishing events this weekend.
