Whoop whoop!! I’d love to know and see if there are or will be embassy plots available!! You can find my work at not only the upstairs of my visit, and the ravines of /t s Lunarfalls but some things at /visit thelynx74 as well as the fishing area in town x. (So sassy!) I’d love to have a home in x!!
We have a few limited locations for embassy plots, but we're planning (now that the town is open) to have a few multi plot exclusive locations at spawn and the main outpost for experienced builders and other town members to still put their mark on town x through an embassy plot. Keep your eyes open in game to be able to call dibs, but we're most likely to announce them afterwards in this thread as well.

Hey everybody, Enjoying your wild plots, but want to be part of a town? Well, our not public, and private town is now open for perhaps a short period of time to the outside world. New players, registered players, veterans, vip, and vip+, heck, even chatmods and moderators are more than welcome to join the town and find a plot. But we're not like any other town. So I'd like to point a few things out. We might be open, but not everything in town is 'unlocked'. The Spawn area for example is kept exclusive, but we're slowly changing this. The outposts are kinda private, except for the main one where we have the resident plots. So please go there to find an available plot. Plots cost 5000, this means if you go to the town and don't have enough money that you might need to type: /vote, and get an extra 2500 that way. Just a pro tip. We do only give single plots and on a very select basis we offer a double plot to a select few players. So be an active, friendly player, that can show a few of their builds to impress us, and we might give you additional plots. About being part of town: If you get a temporary ban, we do /plot unclaim and/or kick you out of town. So please respect the town rules, but especially the server rules. We usually do not kick anybody out of town for being inactive. We don't want you to go on vacation and come back to a griefed plot or whatever (again, we are not like other towns). We tend to only unclaim your plot if we check your player profile and you've not connected to the server for nearly two years straight. About what to build. We are a cozy old fashioned town, we like wood cabins, nature-y like builds, and nothing that screams super modern builds made out of obsidian or straight up quartz mansions. So please check around the main outposts and you should get a pretty good idea as to what we like. We have no problem with you making a tree farm or some sort of harvesting farm, but it should be part of your house build. We're not selling "farm plots", we're offering you a place to live. The same goes for mining. The server has a public big mining world that you can use to get all the resources you want. Mining down for diamonds in your plot isn't welcomed and so we dont allow querie.. quary? however you write that.. you know what i mean.. But yes, you can build up and build down. No big deal We're super excited to break the rule of "we are a private town" since August 2012, and after 5+ years we've decided to just go public, open the town up and let people freely explore, look around, join it, go to our outpost and find a plot to live on. Bring a friend! Heck, bring ten.. Plots are 5000, if it's for sale it will say so. Have fun building, and we're looking forward hearing from you. PLEASE NOTE: if you are supposed to get 1 plot, or you permission to get 2 plots, please do not go around buying other plots, because we will just plot unclaim the extra ones. You can always ask us first, but don't just go around claiming more than the plots you're allowed to get. Just so we're clear on that Oh, we have a mailbox, if you're an active player and we notice your name multiple times per day, each month .. chances are little freebies might show up in your mailbox. Keep an eye on that. Floris, are you guys looking for town assistants or anything like that? Hmmmmm..... going public is already a big deal for us, we have a tight crew and aren't really looking to expand that at this point. MORE QUESTIONS? Great! This is a forum, if you can't catch me in game: ask it here Your town sucks! Well, maybe don't join it and find another one OR .. OR!! Join it and claim a plot and show up how to make awesome builds and maybe that inspires others to do better as well? I mean, teamwork,.. right? k, cu guys ingame Floris, mayor and owner of town x, and his little squad of fumblehead, mistic_ice, nixxy73, paprikaatje, and the rest.

Update: We've done great so far. Quite a few of us have been selling and buying, trading and completing sets for us and our friends. Larry has already been around taking a look at the area where we all play (tnx btw) and we've put out shulker boxes up with the whole set. Anyway, there is another 500k set for sale in /ah And each day I've been doing a one time sale for a few left over easter eggs, today while stock lasts, the /ah has easter eggs down from 75,000 for only 7,500 nbz! So get online, be quick to type /ah and keep your eyes out for those cheaper eggs Happy bunny hunting, the LAST week has started!

Ah, I understand, and thanks for explaining this on ts last night as well a bit more. Hey! btw, it was good to see you on ts again It is nice to hear that this might be in the works and possible at some point. It would be nice sometimes to just reset that to 'no longer allow on any chunk', knowing it overrides whatever chunk we once might have setup - guaranteeing that players can't toggle in those chunks we forgot about, be it a switch, herd, or whatever. Looking forward to this

Hey there Nice to see someone else but me post suggestions And I like quite a few. The /spawners page is not covering the mobs we've been able to get ingame since the EULA change and move to 1.12.2, I would not mind seeing at least a rabbit spawner and a few others in that list. I agree that it would be nice to have the ability to place a certain angry mob type spawner in a location that fits the design. But i can imagine someone just getting 4x skelly and making a bit overpowered grinder. Not sure if it's perhaps an idea to limit the purchase to 1 a player or whatever. Idea 1 by the way, for the /web, /website, /url, /forum, /forums, .. or whatever is reasonable is pretty good. I just use the url: noobs.town, this resolves to the full url. Idea 3, yeah the "sell specific stone" has all the stones like smooth too, but not cobble, it's no big deal but it feels like you'd expect it there too haha i agree idea 3 (i guess you meant 4). If we get /visiit i think we need /visitt too and /shoop, /sop, /shopp and /monday, /monay for /shop and /money i keep mistyping it

Yeah, but sometimes just having a little "safe spot" for fishing or mining base (temporary) is fine. We know to remove it. If it turns into seasonal resets, aweeesome tnx

This is a brilliant idea, it could solve a lot of things if that were possible! I will look in to the complexity and solutions around implementing it as a feature as soon as possible.
One thing to consider would be that the residents of the town which was taken over (to become an outpost) would have to forcefully become residents of the town which was taking over; but I can't see that being a major problem. I think if they own a plot, or more, .. or embassy, a shop etc, . .it just all stays 100% the same, and the only thing that changes, for example I take over town-y or whatever and merge it into town-x, that the resident plot becomes a town x plot at that outpot. One problem I can imagine being a thing is that the mayor and assistants of the old town should just become regular residents. They are already inactive, so i dunno why risk adding 'strangers' into the new town and giving them the ability to get upset and grief the place. I have thought around the possibility to allow temporary short/expensive flight as a similar advantage to /jump (jetpack maybe?), but haven't found a nice way to limit it safely as to avoid players dying from falling, etc. and to not ruin part of the survival feel. If you've got ideas around that let me know too. A jump or jetpack might be great, but not sure how well that might work with building the edge of a roof that's hard to reach for example. Unless it has a slow decent hoover or something. like you jump and only slowly slide back down for 5 to 8s and then just drop. Survival aspect? heck, learn some acro we will survive. I can see that specific titles for staff in towns might be a good idea, but I believe this used to be a feature in Towny before we switched; however I recall it being abused somewhat to just give players amusing/pointless titles, which can just lead to confusion more than being helpful. If it's a GUI interface where you can set someone as assistant, and then the next step is title: default, plots, farms, .. then it's not so much a braggy title perhaps as it is informative - and limited? This is a feature I have been slowly working on for ages, it is my intention to do this; you'll be able to manage Towns just like you can manage things in the Wilderness. GUI yay, hopefully soon I'm not sure what you mean by this, just more stats on what's going on in your town? Or do you mean that players would level up things by doing things in your town? I am not sure how it would work or how possilbe things are, but adding more to the town itself, like how much there's been built in it, or how much players are active, .. but in a level kinda way. Just to work towards something. i wish i could word this better. This can already be achieved by purchasing Outposts, or do you want more than that? Outposts can be set anywhere inside your town land, so you could easily buy an outpost and then move the outpost spawn point to be in your shopping area, etc. Outposts must be claimed in an unowned chunk, but once purchased the outpost spawn can be moved anywhere inside your town. You can then also name the outpost to literally achieve almost exactly what you're asking for. Yep, you are right, i forgot we can name outposts basically and move their spawn around. They're quite pricy, but for a few things like plots/shops/farms, this might actually be worth the money. Thanks for pointing this out again! Thank you again for replying to everything, me and others are excited about possible updates to come

I can will look in to the complexity/technicalities of doing this, I'm not sure if it's possible to set biomes on a chunk by chunk basis which would need to be done to allow a feature like this to work sensibly in the Wilderness system.
If it is possible then I don't see a major problem with a feature like this being added in the future.
I am perfectly fine with changing the whole biome, but money wise or survival reasons etc, i thought on a per chunk basis might fit more. I of course rather have it do the whole biome in 1 go Thank you for replying and for considering this. I can imagine I would change a few sections and have the beach area feel a lot warmer and be more motivated to change it into a summer paradise.

Currently the only way to obtain specially "enchanted" or shiny items is to get them from events; by limiting the only way to obtain those items to events it encourages people who want them to take part. At the moment, you know that if you've got an enchanted item that can't normally be enchanted that it's at least semi-rare and came from an event of some sort. At the moment I don't really want to lose that perk by allowing anyone to make anything glow.
If anyone else has got any feedback either way about this idea I'm welcome to hearing it though, if there's enough interest I'd reconsider my opinion.
Fair points, my thinking was more towards the decoration of things. Maybe make such a voucher a droppable item for an event so a few lucky people who pick it up have something unique to trade, or make. But yeah, making shiny items is a pretty cool decoration block but i can see that it will turn those items in somewhat rare items and that kinda defeats the purpose of keeping things rare. Thank you for replying, I really appreciate it. Maybe others have some feedback on this too or some ideas. And I will think about this a bit more

When we joined a few years ago the waterfall areas were gone within the first 30 minutes, it was hard to find an area for example that has the luscious green vs the more bleek cold that we have now. It's fine, we've build with it and love it.
But we're a few years down the road and I'd love to perhaps change some chunks here and there or an area to a different type. Maybe more cold so perhaps polar bears can spawn there. Or perhaps turn it into a summer theme finally with some luscious green with flowers etc. I know it won't magically put snow blocks down or change it to flowers everywhere, but the way the textures look will be colder or warmer, and the weather would be rain or if we change to a desert, no rain- or perhaps all snow instead of having chunks that for some reason only have rain despite that it's a snow all around it.
If we could perhaps use /gem to pay for a biome change, that would be cool.

" Imagine if we could build railroads in our nation between towns !! or have the plots connect up and work together with other towns."
I was told that this can be done, if towns are allies with each other.
We'd require to buy all the land this time around though hehe But through allies this might be possible? Interesting!

Bryan Adams, because Bryan Adams is king.

I haven't listened to him in ages, I used to try and learn some guitar by listening to his songs. Maybe I should dig up his old cd.

I probably have 0 by now, with all the towns being renamed and dead, etc. I hardly remember any of the stuff from the start of v6 at this point.
So .. especially because of that, it would be nice to figure out if i however actually do have a plot ..
Is there a way to see what all my embassy plots around the towny world are?

Hey everybody,
I'd love to decorate a little more, but sometimes I really really wish I could enchant the items I put in item frames, etc.
I don't need them to have any abilities, but I'd love to get the glow from it.
It would be perhaps kinda awesome to buy a one time use voucher for say 10k through /gem and when you use that on almost any not-yet-enchanted item, in an anvil, that you can enchant it to get that glow effect.
