mine works fine so far no clogs. the lag is not bad as long as your not trying to put 8 dc worth of stuff in at once.
The lag isn't from redstone, that's just nonsense and very MC 1.4-ish. The lag comes from full chests and a few other things. Dumping 8 double chests into the server is not a problem either. They're as slow as they go anyway. We run the 512 item auto sorter for a month with empty chests, hardly any lag. They got filled up with items, not a problem either. But now that they're filled with clay and few other 1.8 items the lag increases.

Eek, even with 20% discount the spawners are nearly 85 usd, gulp.

Have a great year in the Uni, I hope you finish it successfully (im sure), and best of luck with MineApoc and Noobstown. We are all still looking forward to a fixed towny and the other cool stuff, including a possible upgrade to MC 1.9, and what not when the time comes. But most importantly: have fun offline -- and have a healthy and happy 2016. Thank you for replying to my emails earlier this summer, it motivated me to come back and play a bit more.

I think you guys use the plugin that pulls the heads from here: http://heads.freshcoal.com/maincollection.phpWhich area pretty awesome, could we perhaps get a pack on the donation page to get a chest with some of the heads for specific ends? I'd love to decorate the house / kitchen with plants and pots and hamburger and stuff. I'de love to decorate my farm with mini pumpkin, pots and outdoorsy farm things and stuff. I'de love to decorate my garden and trees with apples, peaches, tomatoes, and such things. I also wouldnt' mind paying a couple of bucks for a donation pack to get these items. Please consider it admins food and larry, thank you.

No I already answered your question. Place a chest in the area in which you'll put those items, even if it's temporary, and keep going back and forth picking up all the items until everything is picked up. I do this all the time and nothing despawns. Once all items are picked up then you can sort them where you'd like permanently.
right. I am not super fast like you .. they despawn. It's what my experience is, placing chests, or /back.

I just keep going back and forth until everything is picked up. Sometimes I'll put it somewhere temporarily until I can organize it or put it where I would like it to go.
If there are hundreds of chests breaking in a plot that you clear, with multiple levels, how do you get it all before they despawn? .. Are you just not getting what I am trying to address here?.. I don't understand.

That's what I was responding about. If I can't get all the items to store, there's nothing to delete .. they have storage rooms with 150+ chests, I can only pick up 7.

But what about the items that despawn, surely the town isn't responsible for being unable to pick up all the items in a /plot clear event. Some have so many that it's just despawning before we get to it all.
