Ummwelcometonoobstown. If you have earned enough noobz, you can go town-hopping. (Actually, just one vote will give you 500 noobz which is more than enough to tour all the 40-something towns currently on). It's /town list to check the names of the towns, and /town spawn townname to get there for 5 nbz. Some towns are open, and you can readily join em (like Skyland). Some towns are old and sort of inactive but are large and have great builds and facilities.
You can be part of only one town, but if you want to have plots in another town and live there, that is possible. Look for [Embassy] plots or ask a town staffer if you can buy one. (This makes it possible to actually live in 5 towns, which I've done before lol). Be careful though; if one leaves a town, they would lose all their plots.
Good luck!

What about giving a name to a thousand noobs, since that denomination is frequently used? Yeah, it's short-handed as 'k' but, I'd like to buy a stack of diamonds for 12 Knoobz (with the 'k' pronounced-- "kuh-noobz"). Or maybe 12 Groobz ("grand" + "noobz").
"Knoob" sounds so Jedi-ish. A charm for mind-tricking the seller to lower the price? Lol

If it's gonna help, you can change the number of posts you can see per page. When you view your profile, there's a Modify Profile mini-tab, and under that is Look and Layout. Find the Topics to display per page and set it to 50. Here's a shortcut link that I hope would work/help-- http://www.noobscraft.com/profile/?area=theme

Looks like we won't know until some dedicated member reaches that post count. I did a search on "forum rank" and... The system that was on a old forum to the server I used to play on was the same as here the ranks was achieved like this:
Carpenter: Normal 0 post's Farmer: 50 post's Stone miner: 100 post's Iron miner: 300 post's Gold miner: 800 post's Diamond miner: 1500 post's And they also had End destroyer which was 3500 post's don't know if that is here And off course Moderator, Admin and VIP
Hope it helped
Those post based ones are not quite right, but as I have explained before I am not going to tell you the correct list because it ruins the fun .
Also sorted List of Members by Position, and based on the range of post counts, it seems like: Carpenter 0-50 Farmer 50-100 Stone Miner 100-250 Coal Miner 250-500 Iron Miner 500-750 Gold Miner 750-1000 Redstone Miner 1000-? (no Member beyond this rank at the moment) But either way, it seems that only plain Members can have this rank. If we were Supporter, VIP, Moderator or Veteran, those will be our forum ranks regardless of our number of posts.

In the event that a mob (zomb/skelly/pigman) spawns with armor (which is sort of rare in itself), the occurrence of any single piece of diamond armor is 200 times rarer than that of any piece of leather armor (MCWiki--Zombie Trivia). In comparison, a Spider Jockey will likely spawn just once out of 100 naturally-spawned Spiders, making the Spider Jockey much more common than a mob wearing one piece of diamond armor. So this full-diamond-clad skelly is especially rare (possibly one in tens of thousands). But I guess if one has been working at the mob farm all the live-long day... To complete the info. In the event that a mob spawns with armor: 49% chance of the armor being gold 40% leather 9% chain 1.8% iron 0.2% diamond (loosely related) The one thing I fear the most:

You know how on TV they give away trophies with tiny little gold people, after playing a clip of all the nominees for that award category... Then they open an envelope.

clevelandbrown26 and kjc_123, my very first Noobstown buddies. Ahh, fishing right outside of New Caprica. Good times. fish_james, ohlookawall, and my Oakvale friends. And coolquote of Nova, who was my very first Acro disciple (loosely related) Recently our town founder iboabdalla came to check things out. While I've never met him before since the mayorship has been passed on, it was pretty epic to meet the legend... the guy who started a town that is still thriving in his absence.

is a 20x20 too large, looking for a aprox size
Same question. How small exactly is fairly "small?" Does a 1x4 chunk area count as small?

Umm. Today I reached PL 7777 and Acro 1111 at the same time. I also found someone named ummjohn(something)--finally, a similarly named... person... as me!--but he thought signing up for membership wasn't worth it Ohh. And I learned not to use 8:00 Fire Res and Swift Pots before /ma and expect the effects to carry over in the arena.

I've had PvP set to ON for most of my plots, but it doesn't work. So I leave it ON anyways lol
Pros: - Combat skill leveling in town! No need to go to Events World for PvP! - PvP Arena as a bread-n-butter town facility (new build designs)
Cons: - More moderation needed for multiple PvP events in multiple locations - (after 3 minutes of being invited to town) "Aha! He's AFK! Quick, get his 5-enchant diamond gear!"

Giga means those who are completely unregistered, not just inactive. Twisty (I'm assuming) is still registered, though inactive. But some, like craftixen, and perhaps jeroen in /mctop fishing, have been too inactive that their names have been removed from the list of registered people on the server. Giga's point is (and I have verified) that a small percentage of people in mctop are now server-unregistered due to prolonged inactivity, and what'll happen to them if they stay in mctop until V6. Removing them from /mctop will allow recently-active players to move up and earn Vet. On the other hand, they worked their way up there a long time ago just like we're doing now.

Builds/Map Reset: Have you ever walked out of spawn, and looked at all the grief, holes, and useless builds? Well there is a great reason to reset right there. We will have bigger borders, for more builds. We will have plots so we can't get griefed, and with the new rollback system we won't have to look at the wastelands created by time. That hit the spot. Lots of newly-registered members go looking for untouched land, but can't find any. Money/Towns: Your worried of losing all your Noobz and having no money at all, but everyone will be like that so the millionaires will have to regain all there money too, also you'll have a chance to get more money through hard work. People will want things at the start for building town, structures, etc. so you gotta sell them what they want. And with towns, towns will be cheaper, and you have the chance to make a town like Dragonfire, Kingdom, or any of those other towns. But remember, it takes a lot of hard work. Might I add that our V5 world will be available for viewing for a limited time ( post reference) so the towns won't be instantly lost, but we're given a chance to look at em. Museum world. And about mcMMO leveling, that starts a whole new topic of "Which skill are you gonna level up first when v6 starts?" People are kinda finding their niche(s) even now. Miner's got Fishing, Anime's the new Acro King (thanks to my abdication of it lol). More than 10 players vying for Herby. Ten or less for Lumberjack. Mish has 350 levels to get to the top of the Repair list. And Miner's got to fend off around 10 people to maintain his perch at /mctop fishing. The mctop combat skills are just ...fierce. Tomb and San's Axes, Max and Fire's Bows. If I had the ability, I'd commentate on the mctop action like a sports show lol. But that would be like watching LeBron commentate a Heat-Knicks game*. At any rate, it goes to show that for right now, everyone has a fair chance to strive for mctop. And come V6, a fresh new start. Those with Vet will have a full month of double xp at the release of V6 (See here), so activity now will be rewarded greatly later. *No, I'm not an NBA fan, just making a reference lol

About to get on building. It'll probably be on the second floor right above the dye shop. Also considering the name Redstone Exchange as a name since I have been buying redstone and will now be selling redstoney stuff. Umm. Thank you thank you thank you for voting (ummyes that's a grammatical sentence loljk), now I have an idea of how many stacks to prepare; right now there'll be an enormous amount of redstone lamps and daylight sensors available. Dispensers are on their way too. Selling price analysis kinda made my head hurt (Accounting class, who would've known) but they should be relatively affordable. I'll have the shop ready by tonight. Screenies forthcoming.PS. You can still cast or even change your vote(s) Screenies:

Sethbling's logo? :p Nailed it Thanks for the response, you guys! Umm. The things don't necessarily have to be bought in large quantities; I guess what I meant to say was, assume that the supply is unending. And I will definitely consider making a redstone shop in V6 as well.

Hi there In preparation for a redstone shop, I'd like to have an idea on what the community demand is like for redstone stuff. So go ahead and pick one, two, or all, if you're in need of it. Votes can be changed at any time. Assume that the items will be available at an affordable price and in mass quantities. -Fred Side note. What should my redstone shop be called? RedstoneShack, kinda like RadioShack? Or maybe The Fredstone Shop, but I find portmanteaux nauseating lolPS. +500 respect points (via Respect Voucher) to the first one who correctly recognizes where the image at the top is from.

It's a toggle thing, so just do /ignore <name> again.
(Oh, and don't try "/ignore list" to see who's on your ignore list lol)
And hmm. I wonder if that (everyone's ignore list) also gets reset when V6 arrives.

A few changes that merit a bump(ish) post: - Dye shop now sells in small quantities [8] as well as large [128]--the item frames directly above the d/c's tell what they are
- All discs are now sold for 300 (Do you hear that Progressive lady's voice saying "Discount!" ?)
- More Enchanted Diamond Picks
- A few chain pieces still available (in private)
Oh. And two chests where you can sell your redstone and redstone blocks at the rate of 50 nbz per stack of redstone dust. I'll be setting up an everything-redstone shop soon (at the request of one foxy Burai-dono ) Scroll up to see where the store is located (screeny in Reply #1).

Thanks Matt, for keeping things in perspective. This is a game. It seems like it's been a little tense around here at Noobytown. People trying their best to get top 10, to level up skills for tokens, to keep their grinding secrets (that's me, I'll admit ). At face value, the only two things that will pass on to v6 are the tokens and veteranship. My daily to-do list has been like, "(1) Go to work and do work, (2) Maintain Top 10 spot in <certain skill(s)>." But in the end, Vet or no Vet, it is all just a game, a source of entertainment, a great online social environment. Besides tokens and vet, the friendships we make/made will still be there in July. And I find it so easy to miss out on all that while trying to stay ahead of everyone else in Taming. We need some lightening-up. I need to hand out more of those special Respect Vouchers of mine. And I'm with GG--an hour or two daily (instead of going for those 6-hour Noobstown sessions) and doing the right things, may get one into the top 100 active. (Probably at least 2-3 hours a day, spread throughout, if shooting for top 10 of a skill). I was gonna add "Keep checking every Friday if it's gonna be a 3x weekend," but then... Perm-2x tomorrow. Nebs, you've been around for so long, I think if anyone deserves Vet it'd be you. (I remember being in your 1-year party with lots of cake ). That's just me though, and the criteria for Vet has been laid down. So, all the best to you bud. Hope you have more time in the weekends... or just more time in general.

What Duel said. (He always has a way of addressing the topic directly and explaining it reasonably)
The thing is, some of us may use blocked words irl out of habit. But...
Maybe the deeper issue is about how we express frustration in words. Funny thing is, those words change depending on who we're around (i.e., we tend to choose not-so-harsh words when we get upset around someone respectable). If that's the case, then I'd say that everyone has the capacity to hold their tongue depending on the situation. If the situation is an online environment that involves a filter, then people should consider that or adjust to that. As Jaeger said once on /ch g, (and what GG and Max touched on) we gotta "get creative"/find other words when we're tempted to say a blocked word on chat. In the rare chance I vent on chat, I think I tend to use a simple "gah!" in a frustrating situation ...where the number of a's is directly proportional to how upset I am.

But.. But.. Being a supporter while unable to become VIP is not the least bit enjoyable. :o 20,000 points that can't be used. Just half of that XP multiplier when you could've gotten double that. Which means double the work to gain those levels to get V6 tokens. It's not to be taken lightly.
EDIT: Umm. ... Now where can I find that bright side? Ah! Just wait until we see what V6 VIP is like?
