In the original round before locking I had the latest (most pessimistic?) guess, so I declare myself the winner as per Price is Right rules.

I have no graphics lag in any situation and have experienced minimal server lag on the plugin+population heavy server I play on. (No server lag at all on my friend's vanilla server.)

Server I've been playing on also has decapitation as well (of both mobs and players) and also legendary monsters. The heads of legendary monsters can be turned into special custom crafting items used in the crafting of special items, pretty cool stuff. They also have custom enchants and jobs that tie into mcmmo skills, pretty cool stuff. Also a huge population so I can annoy people who have been on the server a long time by being the newcomer who's already breaking into the top 10 of herbalism...kinda like I did in noobstown.
Had some lag issues when 1.7 first went up, but seems to have been sorted out. I think it was an issue with some plugins that didn't make the crossover(like mob catcher).

So, a lot of us are playing on other servers, and since the dev build for bukkit has been out for a few days a lot of those servers have switched over.
How are you enjoying it so far?
I like all the new red stuff personally. I also like that mcmmo was not among the plugins that broke in the changeover, which means they should update it with ease.

As an experienced beta(and sometimes even alpha) tester it is my firmly held belief that a great thing half-finished is better than nothing at all. I'd rather play something good that's broken and buggy than something lame that's polished and shiny.
I guess that's why I liked Arkham Origins, it was a rushed release full of bugs, but it was ultimately a good story and good game.

Unless I heard wrong, chest shops will still exist.
Also...how hard is it to open a web browser? Minecraft doesn't exactly use up a lot of system resources.
I was under the understanding that this system would completely replace the chest shops. I'd love to hear I'm wrong.
Also... of course it isn't hard to open a webbrowser. It's about the nuisance that is alt + tabbing all the time between Minecraft and the site. When I play a game, I want to play the game, and not spend my time switching between all sorts of appendixes to the game. And not a lot of resources? Maybe if you can live with staring at 16x16 pixel blocks, but I prefer to use 128 x 128 texture packs to make the graphics sorta bareable.
Even with texture packs and full graphics options you won't use up that much relative to other games. I almost never have solely minecraft open, I'll do two games at once, a web browser and something on VLC, and that's just on the main computer. I guess multitasking comes naturally to me so it doesn't bother me. It's still not that much more effort than a normal chest shop to sell stuff and you reach a larger, more competitive sales market where you can actually move the stuff. It's definitely way easier and more convenient on the buying end.

I preferred the chest shops. This new system is simply too devious. I'd rather have a more straight-forward system instead of being forced to use the website while in the game.

First thing I am doing in V6 is getting my land at the wilderness and mine mine mine mine mine to get resources for myself and for the glorious town of TORTUGA.
When I hear tortuga my mind immediately goes to Danny Trejo.

If it hurts then make retributions of some sort. Offer to give your prize to Tidal, who probably should've actually won.

The admins stated before that tokens were specifically for the period between V6's announcement and V5's close.
Well since that went out the window with the Halloween contest, maybe other ways to earn tokens until the server is back up wouldn't be so bad. Which on a semi-related note, I think all those who participated in the Halloween competition with legitimate entries should get some kind of compensation given that how the outcome of that one turned out.

... wouldnt this allow people to use it as a big chest that never gets full?
or is that the point of the paying money?
The items can only be deposited/collected at the Auction Houses in spawn and selected areas around the world, so while they could do this it wouldn't be very useful.
Is there any intention of eventually adding a chat command of sorts for it? I really liked being able to /sell all as I mined to extend the length of my mining trips. Also in regards to these "selected areas", would towns be able to acquire an auction house for their townspeople?

I would take it under consideration for the future, but not immediately. Unbiased mediation is the main thing I'd be looking for in a sub-mayor, but I don't know you well enough to know if you can dole that out. So it's not a no, it's more like a maybe. I never did the WayneTech building but I did do the Wayne Tower from the Nolanverse before, unfortunately the server it was on shut down before I could put the finishing touches on it. http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/wayne-tower-from-batman/

Gotham has a pretty open recruitment policy, if you want in, you're in.
Go with a Walgreens while you're at it. Sure it's not owned by the same people, but it starts with Wal.

Here I thought it was a skin creating contest, not a storywriting one. I mean the contest primer didn't even say anything about a story, it said a description.
I don't think my skin is the greatest thing ever by any stretch...but at least I made it myself.

If you're not afraid of adult conversation you're welcome to build a Walmart in Gotham.
Or maybe you should switch it up, go with a Sam's Club.

Everyone relax.
Arkham Origins is out. Go play that.
Nanananananana BATMAN!
isnt that rated M? and some of us can only play Rated E 10+, or in my case, Rated T?
Rated T for Teen. If the playerbase of Call of Duty and GTA say anything...ESRB ratings don't mean much. Plus it's fairly tame, I mean, as a rule Batman doesn't kill. Some of the villains on the other hand...

Shouldn't entering skins that are just picked from a skin site be against the rules? You should really only enter unique skins that you either created yourself, edited to make it special, or got created for you only, not a skin you found on Planetminecraft or other skin sites.
That is just my opinion.
I would say that, except I wouldn't say "got created for you" should count for you, only for the person who made it for you. There's not a whole lot of creativity in asking someone to make you something or finding it on a website, so given the most creative is supposed to win...

The first thing I'm going to do is just gather resources, mine, dig, etc.
The first building project I have in mind is Breaking Bad inspired goodness.

I agree with your first point, BUT the second one is just not right, yes its not completely the admins fault but they should know that 1.7 is coming out soon, if there are snapshots of 1.7, then its meaning that the new version is close to release, so i don`t understand why the admins make post that V6 will released today, if they know that soon 1.7 be out, and they will need to take the server back to maintenance after the 1.7 release.
You don't have the slightest idea of what you're talking about.
They can't run the server AND update it at the same time. They couldn't release V6 earlier because they didn't have time to do it (and they're doing it for free) They surely guessed 1.7 was coming out... and? Should they have obtained stable 1.7 code before Mojang even released it?
Updating a living server would mean having to waste time double-checking for world generation problems, corruption, ruined builds, etc.
They did what's best in terms of efficiency given the resources they had. Stop whining.
It's not that hard to duplicate a server and then work on that to test your new potentially world-breaking coding. So yes, you can work on a server and run it at the same time.

is it just me or does anyone else not feel like joining v6 ?
All depends on the final details regarding wilderness land. I couldn't care less about anything else. Those details will determine whether I will continue to be regular player or not.

We are not customers, even those of us who donate. If we were customers, "donating" would not be called "donating".
When you pay money and receive something in return, you are a customer. If you just gave money purely because you wanted to help the server and received no sort of compensation for said money, then you're just a donater not a customer. I often buy the humble bundle because I like that the money goes to charity, but I'm still buying the games, I'm still a customer. It's not philanthropy when you get something in return.
