This post has been removed because it features another server, regardless of the fact that it is a v6 testing server.

So how long do,you think the server will be down for, is it possible to put up a temp server like there was in the past with some cool things?
The server will be down for 1 week or so, this will give us time to transfer the world, test plugins etc. As far as I know, there won't be a temporary server, however MineApoc will still be up so you can play there if you wish.

I'm not sure if you have seen this, but this was the first video ever of Noobstown; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmMazRuqB-U#wsWe actually had a carnival, but it burnt down when lightning was introduced to Minecraft

I used to be third, but I took a break a while ago, still I think 72 days is quite impressive

I think this is a brilliant thing you are doing, because it encourages individuals to speak up about any issues they may have, and it gives that person access to a social network so they can chat to other people who may be going through the same thing. Just having someone to listen to you and care about your feelings can improve your day tremendously.
Keep up the good work!

Hi,
It would be possible to make a command like /switch to change ranks, and it would work, HOWEVER;
The current system we use for ranks requires the person to be kicked for the title to change successfully, so whenever you wanted to change your title you would get kicked, the problem with this is that it is an inconvenience to players, and it could potentially cause spam with the kick message - "Your rank has been updated!". Another drawback of this is that our system will give you certain permissions for your rank, so if you were a VIP and a Veteran you might not be able to use all the features you've paid for with VIP if you chose to use the Veteran title.
Regarding the mob arena class - Armour and weapons repairs itself (as mentioned above) , so there isn't much use for the rank, thanks for the suggestion though!
Hope this helps!

First of all, Noobstown is a Survival Multiplayer server, not a creative server.
Secondly, our plugins block anyone apart from Admin's (OPs) to be in creative mode, if someone got into creative mode it would instantly ban them.
Finally, I don't think we need this, there will be lots of things to do in version 6, starting again and creating towns, mining with friends, apart from this we will have spleef, pvp, capture the flag, and lots of other events.

THANK YOU FOR EVERYONE THAT TOOK PART IN THE EVENT! In the past couple of weeks, I have been running events to earn tokens for the release of version 6, since we are gradually getting closer to the release, I have planned one big spleef event that players can compete and win a Veteran title in version 6 of Noobstown. There will be 20 rounds of spleef, at the end of the tournament, the player with the most wins will be granted a guaranteed veteran title in version 6, second place will receive 1000 tokens, and third place will receive 500 tokens. This event will be hosted on the 27th July at 8pm BST - For other timezones click hereI hope to lots of players joining in, having fun and celebrating Version 5 of Noobstown -WW

Just for an official response to this:
No this isn't going to happen because the world is being saved as a kind of 'museum' world which a lot of other users have mentioned already. Also we would rather avoid a server crash so it doesn't cause any technical issues with our server box.
I understand you would all like a big event to finish Noobstown version 5 but this isn't the way to do it. There will be a big spleef tournament in the next couple of weeks where you have the chance to win the veteran title for version 6, probably also a few other events like this.

Unfortunately, VIP's will never get the ability to fly, to put this in its shortest form - it ruins the aspect of survival.
We will be adding more VIP benefits in the future (v6) which I'm sure you will enjoy.
-Hope this helps

This idea has been asked in the past, but you have to have a license to play copyrighted songs on a radio station, whether it is amateur or professional. Radio licenses can cost up to £150 and we would rather use the donation money to upgrade the server ram, processor etc.

Hi, Just to answer this for you;We also have to run MineApoc, which now also has a forum of its own like Noobstown, not to mention the fact that we also have lives ourselves and don't have time to come online and socialise, because of our work schedules etc. Admins don't need to be online 24/7 because we have Moderators that can monitor the server and ban players. I'd also like to remind you that we do dedicate time to do events on the weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). On to your second point - We will be having events in version 6 which will be automated, for instance, Spleef. If you read my section of the first Version 6 post you would see that I said: Firstly, we are implementing more plugins to aid in server events for example we will be adding plugins to support large scale events and adventures!
I am also very happy to announce we will be implementing better PvP team games, such as Capture the flag – I believe this is a great change as it gives players other activities to take part in on top of the normal survival Minecraft experience. We want to make Noobscraft innovative and not just another multiplayer server I believe this is very similar to a minigames world Sure Noobscraft is getting 50+ new guests logging in each day and 20+ new members a day, but look at how much that has dropped recently. This is because of the exams - because most of our fanbase are young adults, you will notice that most other servers are dropping in players. There are other reasons why our members are dropping, but they are fixed in the new version. Finally,Our staff did not leave because they were bored of Minecraft, they all stepped down for reasonable reasons - that I will not include for privacy. past-Moderator's like AQW_Assassian01 and TidalMewMew also still play Noobscraft. The staff team is changing, and will be until the release of version 6, I am preparing the team for a transition because a lot of the moderation features are changing. Just on a last note, if it makes you happier - Admins will be on a bit more in version 6, when we have more free time - but this doesn't mean we will replace Moderators and be online '24/7'. Hope this helped! -Waterworth Original v6 post here

I think you could have mistaken them, I normally add points the day after an event and I can remember adding the spleef last week.

It must have not registered me adding the points, I've added them for you now.

We call them ghost locks, its when a block that was locked for example a chest or furnace is deleted, through WorldEdit or a grief rollback.
A staff member would happily remove the lock for you, just use /helpop.
Hope this helps

Hi, We try to reset the nether every month at the same time as the mining world. Currently everything has been a bit hectic, developing plugins and creating the world for Noobscraft version six as a result of this we sometimes miss out refreshing the world - (This also applies to the End) - I apologise for inconveniences this causes to your gameplay. We plan to eliminate issues like this in version 6 by adding larger nether's and ends, and resetting them on a regular basis. *If you've not already read about the version 6 announcement, please click here Thanks for the suggestion though! -WW
