There is way too many bugs for pistons to be re-enabled at the moment.
Maybe if the bugs are fixed in 1.4 they could be re-enabled, but we aren't sure yet.

The rules are very clear to understand, but I can expand on all of the rules if it makes it easier to understand. Advertising is always a permanent ban, and it will always be a permanent ban. We don't want to lose our members to other servers. In the Forum Rules it states; You are also not allowed to use our services for commercial gain.You are receiving commercial gain if you are taking players from our server to play on someone else's.

I would suggest that you completely reset your Minecraft.jar, you can do this by following these simple steps below:- Load up Minecraft.exe
- Press the button labelled "Options"
- Then press the button that says "Force Update"
Next time you log into the game, it will automatically update the files and give you fresh ones. Hope this helps!

As Duelcon said, Maybe the Mods though you were being hostile towards them, that's why they told you to back off.
You also have to acknowledge that Noobstown is a big server, and with little staff members online, your question may be ignored as the staff may be fixing grief's or helping out other players, if you urgently needed an answer you should have send a in-game mail, and they will get back to you ASAP.

Firstly I respect your decision to leave, as it is your choice, however I would urge you to reconsider, The staff aren't AFK on purpose, we are just very busy trying to maintain the server. Secondly, you need to read Rule 10 of the Forum Rules which states; No Threatening to Leave
You may not make posts threatening to leave the site or server. This tends to be a cause for abuse/trolling to occur. If you wish to leave, we don't have any issue with that; but please do it quietly. Could you also explain to me how you were "threatened" by the Moderators? I sincerely apologise for any issues that have been caused.

To answer your question about Mods and Textures;
You are allowed to use most texture packs, unless they give you an advantage in-game such as an x-ray texture pack, this is also the same for Mods, you can use mods like Rei's minimap, but you can't use Mods that give you an advantage over other players on the server, as that is unfair.

No, only the person that was banned can make a ban appeal.
Any ban appeals made for other players will be ignored, and the person will be told that only the banned player can make a ban appeal for themselves.
