1.8 adds new blocks such as granite, andesite, and my favorite: Slime blocks. Now slime balls actually have a use outside pistons and brewing! The blocks are bouncy and you take no damage falling on one!
Im not much of a fan of the new stone block types in 1.8, They dont look as smooth as I hoped them to be. Sure texture packs would change them, but I wanted them to be smooth looking by default, other than that, 1.8 has a lot of amazing and usefull stuff in its sleeve.

Massive FPS drop when entering the market, because of the signs and other stuff like item frames.

I rather see it as cleverly using the games spawning mechanics, if mojang thinks its an exploit, then it probably wouldn't have been ingame at all.

I was speaking for all of us dedicated members esp, using me as an example. None of us were asked and if Fatnoob is annoyed (whinning as you call it) he might want to look at the rest of us and what we've gone through. That is the point. How dare you claim that I think I'm more special than anyone else. You couldn't be more wrong.
I haven't seen much "dedication" lately when it comes to you, first off all that other servers thats "better" because it does things different then we do, lets be honest if you say such things over and over again are you truely dedicated to this server? Second we are a special server, we have always been we now have a very unique map, which is to please as much people as we can, that ofcourse does not mean we can please everyone, but that doesnt mean either that a couple of rotten apples should spoil the whole bag. We give you the freedom to change the area to your likings, if you cant do that then why even bother us with it. I apologize if this feels very hostile towards you, but to be honest I got kinda sick of all this negative talk. Just a note: since this is really going too far, please avoid quoting my previous post together with other stuff not coming from me.
The facts:
-The map offers an isometric view, not in-game 3D as the pics Fatnoob posted.
-The map is all I have at my disposal to make up my mind.
-Indeed the screenshots looks amazing, but I can't see that in the map and it takes quite a bit to load for me, so I judged based on what I could see in a 10 minutes scrolling.
-I failed to spot those underpasses, canyons and good stuff and focused on the "suspiciously convenient green circles around flattened land".
-It's been confimed that the land is partially manmade, with convenient access routes to wild spots.
If there are the 1.7 default biomes out there, good.
I couldn't find them in a 10-minutes scrolling, or I failed to recognize them hence my previous comments.
FYI: you can edit a quote, so when you quote something make sure to keep it in context.
You have not been listening/looking, -first of all it doesnt matter if the map is not 3d, you judge on a map from a high up "eagle view", which is nothing like you will see it ingame, its just not the way to judge a map properly. -I just posted the video of the custom biomes again, are you to ignorant to watch something before you post? -Again like above, watch the video then you kinda get the idea other then that just wait for the actual release then, before you judge. And yet again, you fail to pay attention to what has been said over the past months since the first delay of the release, I ask you nicely read every single v6 related thread, before you even start thinking about posting. Yet again I apologize to people who feel like im being very hostile, but I hope people understand. EDIT: Also a question, to people who dont like the server as it is, then why are you still here? Critism is fine, but complaining is different.

Maybe it's because i can't view the map in 3D yet, but all four of my favorite 1.7 biomes don't seem to be present. Roofed Forest (Black Forest), Mesa (Bryce), Ice Plains Spikes, and Flower Forest. I might be missing something though. Also, would it be possible to add a smaller alternate wilderness map that has been generated by a random minecraft seed?
My first impression with the Town World was "this is clearly not the default terrain generation".
Seems to me all the area around spawn is carefully manifactured, with clearly visible circles of trees/rough terrain around flattened land.
I'd rather have a natural looking land that I could _choose_ to flatten to build a town and a wilderness world that is truly wild.
Feels like for some reasons the admins thought that no one wanted to build a mountain village, a lake district or anything different from a featureless place with houses.
Flattening the terrain takes hours, agreed, but crafting mountains, forests and lakes takes even more...

Hmm, I dont know where to put a house, in the townworld, or in the wildernis, Maybe ill juts put this RV at the gate of noobstown.   Basicly got everything I would need in such small space , to bad it doesnt drive.

I hope the timer would be reduced a bit, for some redstone contraptions to work good, maybe 1/3 seconds?
This was to stop duplications, because of pistons firing fast, but that was alot faster then 1 second. I think a 1/3 second delay would allow different handy contraptions, yet prevent duplication.

Ive been yelling this at fatnoob quite alot of times durning construction of v6, mojang should add damn mod support, something that would let you auto download mods and auto install them for that specific server.
That would pretty much infinitely extend the lifetime of minecraft really.

I like the idea of a fair MCMMO system, but moderators not being able to fly? That would be like a ship without a steering wheel, so im not sure about that.

The worlds are pretty small on PE too... Plus the servers are only capable of holding 10 players at a time, both of which would be major nuisances. The server would have to be reset like once a week and I'm pretty sure no one wants that. I would say that there are many more downsides than upsides at the moment, so I would wait until the PE dev team updates the game to make larger worlds and add more of the items we know and use in Minecraft do much... Pressure plates and redstone haven't even been added yet, which greatly limits the things you could do. PE is also lacking plugins and mods, as well as texture packs and skins. I don't think Noobstown would be nearly as enjoyable on PE as it is on PC.
Of course, that being said, I would definitely be interested in a PE Noobstown, but not in the near future, at least not until they add some of the stuff from what i said was lacking above.
The lack of texture packs is kinda untrue, there are ways to mod a texture pack into your PE edition, you just need to know how. As of the server idea, pocket edition still is in its very very early stages, still loads of stuff gets added and things from the PC get converted to PE, its very likely the best idea to wait and see what future updates bring, before even planning on having PE server.

I will feel normal, because I am just stating my point and what I think, doing nothing wrong. Kingtaco is supposly 16 years old and plus what does it affect you max if we start a discussion in a forum, lets all go on with our lifes and hope for the best, hope to still be friends max but I still continue defenting my point.
Opinions are made to be accepted, they dont specificly have to do something other then proving your point, something that I have been doing lately on the forums showing my aspect of how I see something, which usually never turns out good as apperently nobody gets my point of view. Im willing to drop my opinion and quit this as a mature guy, as my opinion wont be accepted, yet as you say im still going to defend my point of view.

Plagiarism and cheating are some pretty strong words. Although I may have missed something, I didn't read anywhere in the rules where Fatnoob said it had to be a skin that you personally created. Nevertheless, it is reasonable that people could have interpreted it that way.
Cheating is wrong, but I feel it would be more wrong to accuse someone of such a thing when it is not clear cut. I will wager none of us really knows who kingtaco is or what age he/she is, or what they thought was allowed. What if this was your 8 year old little sister just trying to fit into the community? How would you feel after all the vitriol in this forum?
Lastly, if people are upset about the fairness of such a mega-trivial contest, they are going to have a really hard time in this world.

- The most creative skin will receive: 3000 Tokens and 1 month of V6 VIPIm not trying to put fuel on the fire, I love being creative and I admire hard work others put into their creations whenever its good or bad, in my eyes these people are the winners. But what we see here contains a minor piece of creativity, yes alot of people are probably gonna disagree with me but everyone can sit on the toilet write a story thats 45 words long about tacos while he/she is dumping them in the toilet  I hope things like these wont occur in the future and I hope people will accept this opinion. EDIT: To make it short, creativity should have been awarded not the other way around. Anyways congratz for winning I guess.

So you're saying I am complaining by saying whats right? He shouldn't have won, he didn't make the skin, so he won by doing nothing, which me and others don't like.
Why shouldn't he have won if he didn't make the skin? They were no rules set on the competition stating you cannot use another skin. Lots of others were using skins from PMC too, due to not a lot of people are good with creating skins perhaps.

It shouldnt matter whenever youre good or bad, trying is already better then just stealing something and claiming it as yours and afterwards striking with your not so fair earned price. I ask the winner nicely to be sporty and price the award to someone else who has actually spend time into creating the skin whenever its a bad or good skin, putting in effort and having fun while doing so is more worth then winning anything with what isnt yours.

Can people just drop the whole "being disappointed" thing, after slamming my face a hundred times against my desktop because of those posts, its enough We know people are disappointed, but rubbing it in doesnt help either. Just have fun with what we have for now theres not much to do about it. I might join competition myself once I got my skin partly fixed.
