I like DopeHead's idea.
And guys, seriously, even if you are losing your patience, telling the admins that, and telling them to hurry up is just going to make them feel even worse about this and make them feel like we are angry customers demanding our food on time at a restaurant.
We are not customers, even those of us who donate. If we were customers, "donating" would not be called "donating".
they do this in their spare time and we are all friends here, so while I completely understand where you are coming from, threats of leaving the server or getting mad (legitimately mad, not "RAGE lol") will do nobody here any good. It just adds even more negativity to this.
this server is worth the wait, even if the wait is extremely unpleasant.
Guys, go play KSP or something!

I have a modest 7278 tokens, probably because i basically quit the server once i realized that nothing in V5 mattered anymore. I am glad I have them though

Just chill people. I can't count the number of times I heard people complaining they were bored while playing on Noobstown. Seriously, go do something else while you wait. Life is too short.
If you can't live without mp Minecraft, there are lots of towny servers out there to play on while you wait with all kinds of different flavors. I have found an excellent one (no cursing, et al). The moderation team is nice and I have met lots of new friends. I'm having a great time.
Remember, the owners do this for fun, are busy with their study's, and I'm sure have other real life stuff that keeps them occupied.

Guys, remember, "It is often near the very end of the suffering when man thinks he can take no more." I paraphrased that, some famous person said it. Thing is, you're gonna be all impatient and mad about it and then the hour after you curse Joe and find another server it will be released. And you won't find another server. At least, not a good one.
I've been waiting forever and all my impatience was used up in August, now I'm sort of desensitized to it. I've been cured of my Noobstown addiction.
I hope to rekindle this habit ASAP just like the rest of you, but you get my point. Hang in there. It has been forever, it MUST be coming soon at this point. And even if we have to wait until December, I know most of us will welcome it even more fondly than if it had been released in July or something.
Besides, would Foob have released the Noobween promo if he hadn't had reason to believe the server will be up in time for it?

Why do you want to be a Prefect?: I want to one day be a moderator, in all seriousness. Also, i did just get a new laptop, meaning that I will basically be online at all hours of the day, and i guess it would give me a sense of duty, lol don't laugh. It would allow me to help out Noobstown in whatever way I can, even if its just the occasional "don't swear so-and-so" and what-not.

I haven't heard from Phillip_Safran, Blobfish_Bob, or mastershake190 in a VERY long time. I am assuming, this close to release, that they went off to do something else forever.
If anyone wants to go in on restarting Townsville, Cool, we can restart Townsville.
If not, oh well.
Anyway yeah, just putting this out there so former residents know.
If nobody comes forward I will probably start a town anyway, it just will be named New Forthwind or something like that.

This is a great server with an EXCELLENT community. At least, the regulars. Trust me, you want to keep playing on this server.
Also, you can screenshot with F2, or if you're on a Mac, go to System Preferences and go to "Keyboard", the option to enable standard F-key usage is there.

When V6 is out, will I be able to place lava on property I own?
With all the protections that will be in place, I don't see the problem with allowing lava to be placed for things like decoration and lighting.
Sorry if this question was already asked and answered by someone else, I just never found this out for sure.

That was beautiful... I liked the part with Herobrine  I feel like the current world is getting hit by an asteroid and everyone on the server has to get in a spaceship and travel to another planet- V6 -to a pre-built colony by Foob and the admins. And this video is saying "see you on the other side" or something. Many feels are being had right now.

So to my understanding the V6 world is there, and you know what the map looks like, all you gotta do is finish building things and implement the software stuff like auction, etc.
So why not do a V6.0 map, so we can all see what the map will look like? So like, if I were looking for a chain of islands, or a large mountain, to build on, once V6 is ready, I could find it and sort of have everything planned out beforehand, so we don't spend the first week of V6 looking for a suitable location for a town.
Unless it would be a spoiler and you want the map to be a secret, then nevermind.

No, simple as that.
If I had to come with an idea that wouldn't ruin the point of VIP, I would say raising the Noobz amount you get, making it Tokens instead in till V6, or a VERY small amount of Points, like 50 each vote.
They said they would not make voting give you points. Because points are for donaters only.
I agree. If you voted every day for a month, that would get you 1500 points, and three months of that would give you a free month of VIP. That would annoy donors. I advocate raising the amount of money you get. Perhaps to 1000 Nz. A straight month of voting would get you 30k, which I think is a great incentive even for medium-high wealth players. I would do that even if I had 300,000 Nz.

I play on a tekkit server where you have to vote every 24 hours to use the mining world.
Probably wouldn't work on this server, as to have to vote to use the mining world would probably irritate everyone.

I don't know exactly how many months, but I remember Early V2. When the spawn was made of sandstone and was supposed to look like that one place from LOTR or something.
EARLY V2 WAS AWESOME
Flood was cool too.
And that asteroid that hit MorningWood.
