I am standing by for anyone who needs help. I am ready to reclaim all plots we had, however the only limitation right now is money. Point me at any problem that needs to be solved and I will do what I can.
Also, the outpost is completely moot right now. We have done our best to tear up and store away the gold roads, and most of the valuables o nthe tower, otherwise any old person could go there and grief it all, which would NOT be good. It looks like for now, the outpost is unserviceable, all priority is main town. If you had family there, we are sorry.
Forthwinders, watch out for mobs, stay frosty.

1) I hate losing my stuff, but never losing it would seem to easy, so I must regretfully say, I like the survival aspect. Even though I often ragequit because of it.
2) I would like to see a massive 400x400 area walled off (choose somewhere remote) and dotted with little fortresses and castles and bunkers, and used for MASSIVE, and i cannot stress MASSIVE enough, team games of PvP, Capture the Flag, or perhaps a massive last-man-standing mob arena. Mainly, i mean this for towns to be able to have "wars", with two towns agreeing on rules and stuff, a cash prize to the winner, and the two town's armies will then have a purpose. Imagine an army of 12 going up against another army , massive battlefield, capture the flag or something. It would be amusing to watch, and it would be great fun. I must emphasize TEAM BASED, and STRATEGY. Like, cooordinated timed assaults on certain strongholds or bridges, or strategic points, capturing the enemy's "flag" (a red or blue block, respectively). It would add a whole new element to the game, and only towns or greatly funded teams of people (mercenaries perhaps?) could compete in these battles. Sorry for the long explanation, I've just had this bouncing around my head since V3.
3) My favorite activity? Industrialization. Making massive farms, (check out the one in the Forthwind outpost!) massive quarries, (80x80, near the farm!) generally mass producing enormous quantities of stuff, selling them, then wasting the money on frivolous things, or funding towns with them. That, and factions. I've had a faction up since V3, (its been dead), perhaps you've heard of the Enclave, now known as SPECTRE. I love having secret groups like that, shadowy governments and stuff. THat, and of course building for the faction massive underground bunkers, totally self sufficient, no way to the surface, so you cant gt in without someone being there or setting home. Those things saved us from greifers during the temporary iterations of Noobscraft. Untouched, while the surface was ravaged.

You could leave books with rhyming clues to the location of the next book, all leading up to a treasure! First one to find it gets it!

When selling, it first compensates for the increase in whatever youre selling, THEN pays you the lesser amount. However, when buying, it first compensates for the decrease of the item, then gives it to you. Therefore, if I were to sell 1 diamond at 250, it would say "Buying 1 diamond at 300!"
But were i to sell at 250, it would say "Selling 1 diamond at 200!" This is just an example, but you get the problem. Please either make them both sell THEN revalue or both revalue THEN sell, so that people can make at least something off stock market type trade. Otherwise you either lose tons or barely break even, it's really annoying, thank you.

Does buying ore and coal, smelting it, then selling the ingots for double count? Because if so... sorry.

I guess there would be a natural ceiling, you can always have more of something, but once you have nothing of something, you cant go any less. Although I guess if people wanted to screw with it and artificially raise dirt to 100 a block, there would have to be a ceiling to prevent it.

Also, could i buy a bunch of stuff when its low and sell it when its high? Or is there a firewall to prevent people from getting rich off the "stock market"?

Oh boy. Any time anyone now has a fortune of items to sell the price will plummet, making whatever they sell worthless. E.g., if i have over 9000 wheats, (which i just may) and sell them all, they end up at 0 and i essentially just donated them to whoever wants them. Therefore, diversification is crucial. Normally, IRL, this is okay, but on minecraft, having a good amount and means of procuring good amounts of a plethora of items is only feasible for the largest entities. E.g., were i to sell only 500 of my wheat, then to sell 500 dirt, then 500 stone, etc. i could make a moderate sum. But I want to make a massive fortune, in the hundreds of thousands. Why is having extremely rich people such a bad thing if they took the initiative to build, say, a massive farm with a yield of roughly 12800 wheats per harvest? Mmm? That investment is now a waste, and for me to sell my over 9000 wheats i would have to do it over a long period of time, much slower than i can farm, resulting in my having a massive deficit of wheat. Conceivably, even with an extremely diversified portfolio this would be sure to happen, as to make any money one ahs to wait for the price to "cool down". Furthermore, the resulting massive stockpiles of common items such as wheat, dirt, and cobblestone will keep the price at almost 0, and will also result in people unwilling to sell these items for such a low price, at least to the shop. Now, you have people forced to develop their own economy and a massive reversion to the chest shop system, or God forbid, the terribly slow and torturously small-scale practice of "how much for one stack" or whatever. Therefore, you just installed this shining microcosm for the world economy, only to have everyone bypassing it for their chest shops and sell-by-stack markets. Worthless.
Unless, this is of course what Joe wants: A player-driven, player-controlled and player-regulated economy, all springing up from nowhere, eventually rendering the plugin obsolete, freeing up space for bigger and better plugins and generally reducing lag.
Although I havent tried it out yet and stuff so I'm probably wrong. Anyway, yeah. theres my two cents.

And remember, just because the immediate spawn may look bare, does not mean that there are not some amazing spots to nestle a little cottage. Look around before choosing the ideal location!
But there are business opportunities too! The first two people to apply for a business plot will get a free plot directly adjacent to the spawn. This is obviously good for business, as it will be the fist thing new arrivals will see, loaded down with Noobz.

I would like to announce the grand opening of the Mountain Outpost of Forthwind. It is all done, finally. All we need now are colonists!
Forthwind wants you!
Buy a plot, and build your rustic villa in one of the highest, most remote, and definitely most beautiful spots on the map. Explore its vast uncharted canyons! Investigate the mysterious church left abandoned on the outskirts! Hunt it's copious herds of cattle!
If you are a resident of Forthwind, or are going to become one, just ask for a plot and we shall claim one for you. Reserve your spot today! Choice of plots is limited!
Also, this outpost will not be following strict road plans. The idea is to maintain a rustic feel to the place, but still refined and populated. Therefore, plots will be claimed and houses built, and THEN roads will be extended to them. That is, of course, providing you want a road.
If you are a Forthwind resident and you are considering building a second home on this mountaintop resort, just type /town outpost and be whisked away to this extremely remote area to survey your ideal plot of land.
And remember, for this to be worth it, we need YOU! Come on Forthwinders! Support your town by being one of the first!

I have a design. I know this isnt the place to submit, but its simple.
A red shirt, with "NoobsCraft", but in Russian. Like, backwards "R"s and "N"s, and then cross a golden pickaxe and a golden hoe to look like the Soviet Union symbol. I would buy four of those immediately.

I have a problem. Why did you reduce the sell price of wheat in the shop down to 1? People have economies based off of that stuff you know. Could you please, like, change it back? Or something? Because that was the only thing you could make a decent living on in the shop. Thank you. Also, my farms are now WORTHLESS So thanks for that as well.

Im buying mugs and reselling them at my store. It will popularize the server! No, Im actually not, that would probably break several copyright laws or something. Also i have no store ;_;

Yay! Maybe for every thousand members everyone can get a diamond or something from now on! Initiative to recommend! Also, if we DO have more worlds in the future, as a suggestion, an asteroid world would be cool. Like, just clear out the end of all endermen and obby towers and the dragon, and implant ore in random places. Or something. And make a glass dome. It would be like the moon.

It shouldn't be ugly, the materials used to cover the water dont even need to be there! Or, you could replace it with mossy stone brick, or glass, or whatever! Also, ideally this would be built on an open field of dirt, so that all one would need to do is dig water channels and plow the land. Therefore, if one track was 8x128, one track (of which there are 5, in the Forthwind Farm) would yield 16 stacks of wheat. Multiply this by however many tracks (lets say, 10) and you would get 160 stacks, not taking herbalism double drop into account. 160x64=wheats! multiply this by 2 and you have your Nz per harvest.

I submit my completely modular farm, which is built in the server, not far from the Forthwind Town Spawn. It is comprised of X by 8 block fields, each sandwiched with a row of water for irrigation. It is simple, and the main thing:
Its best quality is its modularity and expandability. One can increase the number of tracks or just increase the length of existing ones. Furthermore, it can be built "up" in layers, almost infinitely. The only limit is the patience one has to farm it all.
Again, one has been built near the Forthwind Town Spawn, (follow the golden road to the residential section, youll know it when you see it). PLEASE REMEMBER, the one you see is just a prototype, and that design CAN BE EXPANDED CHEAPLY AND EFFICIENTLY TO INFINITY. I know, it is simple, but it is elegant and effective. To harvest, one just runs in a straight line while holding down the mouse. Same with replanting. Alternatively, if you DO want to water harvest, one can just pour some water periodically. Or, it can be built in 7x8 "stairs", so that water will flow endlessly. However, this method requires more vertical space, and would be trickier to build/maintain.

I agree with ajhl49. If infractions were always punished to the fullest extent of the law, I would be hanging from the tree on Fatnoob's front lawn. And he would refuse to take me down, despite the fact that i would be asking a lot for him to. It sucks being stuck on a tree like that. Birds peck at your face and stuff

Actually, we are just rebranding ourselves. We have more members now! We are now called SPECTRE, like from james bond. Really it stands for SPECial Tactics and REcon, but it can also stand for SPecial Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge, and Extortion. We are a mercenary group, and for a small fee you can hire us to defend your town in any wars (like one will ever happen), or you can hire us separately, as bodyguards, to protect you from mobs. You can even hire us to keep a whole area mob-free.
Mainly however, JOIN! You get free breads and things! And you get access to the awesome base we have! Also, we will be building a spaceship, so theres that. I dont know, mainly were just changing our name. SPECTRE sounds better is all.
