I'm sure a lot of people think this idea would be a fantastic idea. There are a lot of pro's for doing this kind of event, but there are also some bad things, such as the staff only normally give stuff away on special events (like the New Years Party and the Christmas Party). Apart from that I think it would be a great idea and would bring more excitement into the server!

A better idea, that should later be introduced into the game, should be craft-able spawning eggs. For example if you wanted a Creeper egg, you'd need gunpowder and an egg. That's what I like the sound of.

You could easily just watch a tutorial on how to downgrade minecraft, then you will be able to get back on the server with no problem.
