I have decided to end V5 with a bang so I want to have a party area ready! There will be fun events like a spleef (In a 32x32 area), fireworks, cake, and if you want to come and join we can get a pvp match started This will be given a date when we get a date for V6. Of course I need materials! So if you want to donate something post here!

I made this for Tidal 

        On a very hot day in the month of July, I decided to type in random IPs I generate in my head and would see if they would work, Not many of them worked, but then I typed in noobstown.com and it actually worked, I decided to take a look around and read every sign thinking "Wow this server is really organized." Being someone to respect organized servers I signed up and started my adventure. I hadn't talked much, but spent a lot of time walking, I died 3-4 times and never found where I died, but I pressed on to find the perfect spot to build my town. After about an hour of trying I finally made it, a snowy landscape near the town of Nether Frost, I started to build my house, having to plant trees as none where near the area I lived, So I started to build my house when it came upon me, I needed money.


        It was about my second day when I decided I needed some money, so I started mining cobble, I didn't realized voting till about a week in, so I sold my cobble to twisted's shop and off I went, building my town. I built many amazing things, a bridge, a huge tower, and my house was pretty fancy. I also opened a lottery that lasted a go around. Soon I was getting TAs and residents even though it was just a wilderness town, but not before I got started on the website.


        So I was sitting at work and I had just finished a huge order and had some time to myself, so I decided to post something on the website, soon enough I would be an active member of the forums checking every day for something exciting, and making some topics of my own, It was about the end of summer when I did this, as I had spent the whole summer on the server, I still remember that summer spawn, and my town that never was, Nexan.


        At about November I decided to name my town Nexan, but at about December 4th I decided the town was not to be and moved into New Caprica, here are some screenshots of "The Ruins of Nexan"









        After that, I decided "I needed a break from Noobstown for a bit." So I went on a twisted path of other servers, some scary stuff, until finally coming back to noobstown to find out it was time to party! As well as V6 was coming, so I joined mrfloris' town X and build a tower out of diamond and gold, as well as a nice bridge. Finally it was time to really get those skills grinding, and at the speed of a bullet of was getting my skills up.


        After all of this, i've realized it isn't about the diamonds, or the money, or even the builds, it's about the memories we share with our wonderful community. Even if you have a few friends, or a lot, there will always be somewhere for you. So I will finish this off with some of the stories I have of my experience at Noobstown.




























 

Ever since I got into the forum while doing some stuff in the local library, I have really enjoyed it, I am now on 300 posts and hope to get to the 1000 post one day. 

/hat would just be awesome, I could have a lot of good times with friends with that one command. lol

Welcome to the server! A good thing that I like to do is build and level up! 

I'm still laughing at the force op part. That is awesome and wrong at the same time. But still funny.

"If you never have been one this isn't the place to start, this is a big server and is almost impossible to handle if your new to this. Some people may be good the first time, but they probably have experience with commands, plugins, etc."

I would just like to point out that Noobstown is the first (and currently only) server I have become a moderator of. Very true that it's difficult at first, all of us can tell you our fair share of our first-week troubles as mods. However, I wouldn't say Noobstown is a bad server to become a first-time mod. In fact, I'd say quite the opposite. It just takes a bit of time to understand how moderation works and how you're supposed to carry out your duties.

Additionally, moderation shall become MUCH more streamlined and simple in V6. All of the staff members have been preparing unique methods of handling our various duties on the server and we hope that it will continue to improve the efficiency of the server.

Bottom line, I would say, if you want to be a moderator, go right ahead and apply! We can't guarantee you a spot, but we can encourage you to become a respectable member of the server, one that upholds the rules every time, and encourages healthy, family-friendly play in the server as a leader among the regular members. More often than not, those that show promising leadership skills and kind-hearted demeanor in the server's chat and its functions are those that are the most likely to become staff members.

The nether is pretty huge, I've had no problem finding quartz and glowstone further out from spawn. If you go far enough, it's fairly abundant.

 
Same here, I went out about 300 blocks and mined 15 stacks of quartz. And passed tons of glowstone.

Here is my build, the original spawn for V5 surrounded by the updates of Minecraft that we went through together, (the middle is the fountain from the beginning of V5, or at least what i got from research). So i hope you all like it!
