I know only a select few who will agree with me but I don't really care for mobs in the mining world. I go to the mining world to mine, cut down trees, get my excavation up, get sand, etc. not fight off a bunch of mobs. I know this is the reason for Minecraft, I understand that's how it was made but I just don't prefer it for this server when you're trying to get things done and level up quickly to get tokens and such.
Just an opinion + suggestion.

So this idea came into my head just now and I thought I'd at least pitch the idea. Before V6 comes out, there should be a V5 Noobscraft Superlatives. Where people nominate different people for different categories (most friendly, most popular, most likely to succeed, etc.) and then when the nominations are final have people vote. The winners of each category get a certain number of tokens to be used for V6 when it is released. I think it would be a fun idea and would be another way to give credit to those on the server that aren't just VIP or Mods.  -gg

 So a few weeks ago I posted about Together We Rise and how we were up for 25K dollars for 1000 foster kids in the United States to receive a duffel bag/suitcase full of goodies so they wouldn't have to travel from foster home to foster home by putting their belongings in trash bags. Yesterday was the last day and in order to receive the reward we had to be in the top 40 and we were! I want to thank anybody and everybody who helped vote, at least once. It's because of you and your contribution that made this all possible. Noobstown really is a great community full of great people and this is proof of that, so thank you! -gg

I want to thank all of the mods, admins and members of this awesome server for being so nice to me and welcoming me from the very beginning. I've only been on the server since November (of 2012) and it was my first multiplayer server as well and looking back I can see I made a good decision. Through Noobstown you really get this sense of community and that's what we are and I've made some great friends along the way and I can't wait to see the friends I make from here on out.
I want to thank a few people who have made this experience even more awesome....
mrfloris, dadjaeger, san57x100, Danny_San94, Tomisbomb789, Alex_Hupsch, Athealis, Burai_Kitsune, and a few other people I'm most likely forgetting. Again, a huge thanks to the mods and the admins for creating an awesome server and keeping the server clean, friendly and just a fun environment.
P.S. sappy forum post is sappy, I know.

So as some of you may or may not know, I am a social media intern for a non-profit organization called Together We Rise (TWR). TWR is, like I said a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Foster Children in the United States. Part of our work as a non-profit is a project called Sweet Cases. Sweet Cases provides Foster Children suitcases and duffle bags so that when they move to a new home they don't have to put their belongings in trash bags. For the next 17 days, our organization is in the running to win 25K dollars for suitcases and duffle bags. We're asking people to vote every day for the next 17 days. You can vote up to 10 times per day and in order to be in the running for the 25K we have to be in the top 40. We are currently in the top 10. It's free. You use facebook and that's it. All I'm asking is that you check out the Facebook Page, go to the link and vote. You can vote one day, you can vote every day but each vote means something and will help a lot of Foster Children in the United States. Are the becoming harder to spawn or is the spawn rate like really low or something? I haven't found an egg in 2 days. I know other people are able to find them and aren't having any issues but I've been at spawn, in the wilderness, mining world, etc. and I still haven't found any eggs recently.

is anybody else having an issue with installing Optifine? I've installed it before (the same way you do with any other mod) and I can't get it to work. I've deleted the META-INF file....and dragged and dropped Optifine into my Bin Folder and done this maybe 10 times and still....it doesn't work.
Can anybody please help me? I haven't been on the server really in the last 2 days because it just lags so badly.

We are saddened to say that DiamondCreek has been sold. The staff (tomisbomb789 and myself) decided that it was best because we had a hard time keeping up with it...and I had a hard time keeping up with the maintenance of the town and it was just best to move on. We do want to thank every single resident that came to our town and stayed. I joined the town pretty faster and became a TA my second night I was in the town and I've been so honored to have been apart of such a great town and to have worked so hard on something. So I thank Alex_Hupsch and tomisbomb789 for taking a risk on me and letting me jump right into being a TA.
I left DiamondCreek earlier this evening and I am now a resident and TA of Bushido. It's silly that Noobscraft is just a game but for the time that I've been on the server it becomes like a community and even more so a family. I've made some great friends through this server and I can't wait to see where this next chapter takes me.

I have been a supporter of a non profit organization called To Write Love On Her Arms for years now and their mission is to raise awareness about suicide, self injury and mental illness. I just had to share this video and to show this side of me that nobody really knows about on the server. I think these unrelated (to minecraft) forums are a great way to let people know you a little better and with everything I do on the internet I try to put out this good vibe or this positivity. So with that said, I share with you this video and hopefully it helps someone. We play with each other all the time on the server but we never know what the other person is going through and sometimes what they're going through is darker than we could ever imagine and this is for them. I don't mean to get mushy or get emotional or anything, this is just a video that I wanted to share and let people on the server know that I'm there for them if they need anybody. -gamergirlxo

Hi all! Just a little update from your lovely TA of DiamondCreek......moi! haha no but really. Just a few updates. I have been going around town to check on houses and look up on members of those houses to see when they were last active on the server.....I normally take down houses and put them back up for sale if a member has been inactive for 2 weeks. If you don't plan on being on the server very much and you plan on returning, please send me a message letting me know so I don't accidentally take down your house and all that fun stuff.
If you have not been on the server for 2 weeks or so, I will send you an in-game message just checking up to see how everything is going and if I haven't heard back in a few days, I will begin construction on your plot.
Also, we are currently expanding DiamondCreek. We have had a slight change in staff as Alex_Hupsch, our sub-mayor is not with us very much anymore (for personal reasons) and Tomisbomb789 (Mayor) and I are having to do a lot more than we were before when Alex was around. Please bare with us while we're in this faze of transition. We are trying out best to keep the town up and running and adding to the town.
We have a new library, built by myself, where the old church was. It is dedicated to Alex since it was his original idea. We have 2 enchantment tables in the library that is for free for any of our members to use so please use them as you wish. The DiamondCreek (creek) has been enhanced a little too, I'm still kinda working on it but I have just spent some time sprucing up the area. So if you want, check it out.
For now, that is all of the updates that I have. So if you have any questions at any time, on the website or on the server, please feel free to ask me at any time.
