from my experience, you cant really fully test anything without public access. Hence why betas exist and even so, games are still buggy.
Even Minecraft is still working on and removing bugs and glitches, nothing will ever be perfect. The lack of communication though is what gets me upset, its been over a week since the plugins were announced being tested.
As far as the saying "good things come to those who wait" I point you to Duke Nukem Forever.
They also have a twitter page that they update a little more than the site, I'd say give that a try or following them personally on twitter. @noobstown @joethenoob @itsWaterworth @OneLawrence

I can understand why people are getting impatient, I am myself in a way but I also have to think about and wish others would as well...that it's a small group of guys trying to get done a lot more than we probably realize. As I saw in the previous comments I would much rather them get everything situated to begin with then open the server and realize there are all these bugs...perfection and good quality products take time. When they're ready, satisfied and happy with their product they will give it to us and it will be better than ever. Is it a reason to give up on the server or try and find something else? Not at all. This server is the best server I've come across and I hope people don't give up on the server over something like this.

Yes, there will be a built in currency converter. Simply drop down the options and select "USD" when it's released.
That's probably the most awesome part for me. haha

I'm getting anxious and miss playing minecraft but I'm not impatient like some people I've seen recently. I've said this all along and I continue to stand by it. The staff are working as hard as they possibly can and as fast as they can. Good things come to those who wait and when it finally is realized it will be better than ever.

If you want an example of a "mature town"look at Bushido. We had "mature" playerd as part of the town while still keeping to the rules. I wouldn't advise finding any way to create a "mature" atmosphere that may break the general Noobscraft rules in any way. And as Waterworth said, not quite sure your definition of "mature."

I'm 22 and see nothing wrong with this thread. I understand showing your kids or not showing your kids but if you are of age (or even hnder age) and wish to show what you look like, you have the right to choose. Like someone was saying earlier not a lot can be done woth a picture I don't think. Now if you add personal information then yeah...either way we have a good looking community here.

Yeah I would assume that the admins or someone would let us know ahead of time. For me I'm glad there has been this little bit of down time so I can get married and move and stuff. Next weekend or the next would be perfect. Either way, the admins should let us know before hand.

Yeah what Adrian said. You can vote for the server but you won't receive any noobs since A. You aren't on the server and B. The money would just reset anyway due to V6 but keep voting for the server...especially during this downtime.
